OCR
Does anyone know how to get ocr on a HP7510
Hello
Photosmart HP 7510 does not include OCR functionality as part of its software.
Some editions of Microsoft office offer OCR capabilities as part of the software (for example, Microsoft Office Document Imaging [CHANGE] in Office 2003 or 2007, Microsoft OneNote in Office 2010)
Or any other 3rd party software like Reas Iris OCR for example.
It will be useful,

Hello
Anyone can guide me please you the steps to make the work of OCR in document scan.
I scan the document, but can see an option that can enable or show me OCR in action.
Thank you
Shivani
Yes, the instructions are terribly poor - quite remarkable really. I looked through tons of videos on YouTube to pick up some basics. As far as I can see the OCR works only in Office, Word, and Powerpoint. In Word, go to the Insert tab, then on the far right you will see two new buttons that are Sprout, Capture and text plugins. Choose the text and which will capture your touchmat text and perform the OCR.
Not sure if there is another way to do it. I do not understand why there seems to be a complete lack of tutorials beyond 6 or 7 very simple videos. The manual doesn't help much with the software.

As of today, when I do an analysis of the OCR, I can't program to save him. The error message is that the scanned document cannot be saved to the specified location. All the other scan functions work perfectly and the OCR scan worked fine until today. Help?
Reload the software, and then try again.

Anyone know if there are none of these software and how can I download?
I am using Windows vista 32-bit
Thanks for the tip, but it bypassed using the OCR feature in Microsoft Office OneNote software I got already installed in my PC. Thank you for taking the trouble to return to me.

Envy4523: OCR for Envy4523
When scanning, I get the documents only in PDF, that I can not adapt or change. I need the documents in Word. What should I do to get the OCR to work with documents?
Hello
No, your printer did not come with OCR software, you have to pay for it and I think that the software is more expensive than the printer itself.
You can also try some free software:

OCR for Photosmart C6380 All in software
All-in-one receipt for Christmas to use for genealogy work. Scanning of photos, documents, books of family, etc... Already scanned hundreds of items. Great, but... I really need to be able to put a lot of documents in Word files. JPEGs just don't cut it for everything. Is there an OCR software for this scanner?
Hello
In my view, that this printer has an option to install the OCR software. Have you used the installation software cd that comes with this printer to install the printer to your computer. try revived the sw installation cd, and then select the option install more software. Then click OCR if it its list to begin the installation of this software.

OfficeJet 4632: ocr add on for my Officejet 4632
HP offers an app of the printer for OCR for my printer? I received an email earlier that seems to indicate that there is an app for that, but I can't find any information about this now. If not, is there an afordable after market program I can get for this purpose? I don't want to spend $100.00 for it.
Thank you, Scott
Hello
Not directly at HP, it's a third party software called IRIS (or similar name). It's also very expensive. In many cases it is more expensive than the printer itself so that HP offers only high-end or more expensive printers. There are some free software around:
http://free-OCR-to-Word.en.softonic.com/
http://www.free-OCR.com/
for Word:
http://Office.Microsoft.com/en-AU/Word-Help/scan-and-edit-a-document-HA010254879.aspxPlease try and if not adapted to your need you can buy commercial software.
Kind regards.

Is there an OCR software for the all-in-one series D110 printer?
I have a HP Photosmart D110A and you want to scan to indexed pdf file. I can do with this printer?
Hi there carlosw,
There are TONS of OCR options out there. Even if your printer is not necessarily delivered with a release of box OCR solution you can always us third-party software to do what you are looking for. Here is a link for the top 5 free OCR software tools. The article is a bit dated you can search in your favorite search engine to find the solution that best fits your needs. I went to the Microsoft Office Document Imaging or OCR via google Docs, as I have already included it with office and use google Docs quite heavily. Let us know if this can help, or if you have any other questions.
Good luck!

HP Photosmart 6250 OCR compatibility
I have HP Photosmart 6520 connected to my Mac OSX 10.9.4. How will I know if it's compatible OCR & if this is how I get it to work?
Hello
The software provided for your device does not include OCR functionality
As you can find listed in the specification of digitization, text files like TXT or RTF are not supported by the HP software:
http://www.shopping.HP.com/en_US/Home-Office/-/products/printers/HP-Photosmart/CX017A
You can use OCR 3rd party to analyze as editable text.VueScan for example provide OCR capabilities, as well as applications like Read Iris or OmniPage which can be purchased. You can search the Web for any freeware OCR solution, I don't personally know of such however.

search for HP and remove the device HP Officejet Pro 8600 base and IRIS OCR software (if installed).
BOF, the control panel select devices and printers, remove any printer of 8600 left by right clicking and selecting remove device.
Then, reinstall the latest version of the software below:

OCR software for HP Deskjet 2050 scanning
Hello to all community workers
I have a new HP Deskjet 2050. This is printer * beep * scan * beep * Copier. I would like to create soft copy of some books of text using the OCR software. OCR is optical character recognition software, which can convert the text from the image in real characters and export them to applications like MS Word. I used this a few years ago. Normally, it comes with the Scanner CD. But I could not find this software with the CD provided with this printer/scanner for me.
Can someone help me find this software compatible with my HP Deskjet 2050 printer/scanner.
Thank you
Billon
Hello
The software provided for your device includes all the OCR features
You can use a solution of OCR 3rd party to analyze as editable text.
If you have Microsoft Office suite, there is a good chance of the suite to provide this type of functionality:
Office 2007 or 2010:

Software OCR Brother mfc j5910dw
Hi all
I bought an iMac in March 2015, but my Brother MFC-J5910DW will not run the OCR scan because I don't have the software installed on my iMac. I had a PC when I bought the printer about 3 years ago and have this software, but it will not work on Apple products. I called their tech support and they don't have or won't send me the OCR software for my iMac.
Any suggestions?
A quick search lead me to the following:
- El Capitan Mac support information-> http://support.brother.com/g/b/faqend.aspx?c=au&lang=en&prod=mfcj5910dw_all&faqi d = faq00100205_003
- El Capitan Mac drivers for this printer-> _all http://support.brother.com/g/b/downloadlist.aspx?c=eu_ot&lang=en&prod=mfcj5910dw & os = 10018
You have downloaded and installed the proper software?

No option in the center of the HP Solutions OCR
I don't have the OCR option after I scan on my Photosmart C4780 printer
I use Windows 8.1operating system
Can you tellme where I can get the appropriate software, as the center of Solution, I downloaded directly on the site of HP
The printer has always had full OCR options other onmy computer portable Windows7
Your opinion would be ppreciated, thank you.
Hi jimfer,
I understand that you have a Photosmart C4780 you want to use with OCR software. I will do my best to help you with this.
You must have had a different printer comes with OCR software on your Windows 7 system as the Photosmart printers do not come with OCR software. It is usually the Officejet coming, because they are directed to businesses that need the OCR software.
What I suggest that you try is download and run the HP printer install wizard to get your C4780 installed and running, and once it has installed, please download and run the software for the Officejet 8500 Wireless because it comes with the OCR software and uses the same version of software as the C4780. When installing Officejet Gets the connection options, just choose the option Connect later.
I can't guarantee that it works, but if all goes well he done and you can continue to use the C4780 with the OCR software.
Hope this helps, have a nice day!
