  Each laptop manufacturer decides which old models of laptops will be support for the new operating system. Toshiba has done the same and offered a public list with all supported models.

  Your Satellite is quite old and has been bundled with Vista OS so Toshiba he supported for Win7, but it is obviously not possible to Win8. With other words, Toshiba doesn't offer any Win8 drivers, tools and utilities.

  But by searching on Toshiba website compatibility of Win7 on Satellite A200, I find always it should be possible to install Win 7 64 bit if serial number has a 7, 8 or 9 on the second position. My serial no begins with 57...
