Compatibility problem with dvd/cd burner is a driver or hardware?

I have Toshiba A206 s5000 laptop with a DVD/CD-RW drive after a full format and restore. I'm not exactly sure how long after or if it was just after the installation started. The drive will read and write to some DVD. But when I take a cd insert the corresponding LED flashes for a short period before stay balanced. It does not make up the selection dialog box or start a program.

I was told that it is possibly a compatibility issue. If it is then in the disk hardware or drivers.

Curtis has always lost in the Code,

I found the answer to this Question and it is material. The dvd has a built in decoder and this work fast decoder interface. I replaced the drive and corrected the problem.

I'm no expert in this area, but I think that you used the wrong application, namely Windows Media Player.
A month ago, I did 2 DVD with images and music. Here's what I did...
    Open Windows Movie Maker...
    1. I imported images in the timeline.
    2. I imported the music (wma in your case) file to Audio column / music.
    3. I have synced it so that the images and the music would start and end at the same time.
Note : If you already have the video file with import loan, then simple music video to the timeline and go to step #4.
    4. I clicked on publish on DVD.
Windows DVD Maker wil pop up. You know the rest of the steps.

  • Compatibility problem with Vista and iTunes

I downloaded iTunes 9 on my Tobisha laptop Satellite last night and put about 2.5 GB of music on it. I didn't upload the music from the internet. I used MP3s, I had for a few years.

When I went to boot up the laptop this morning the loading process took some time, but it never loaded to the login screen. I just see the bottom of MicroSoft. Is there a compatibility problem with Vista and iTunes? Maybe I put too much music on my laptop?

Boot in safe mode and delete iTunes and all the music I downloaded would solve the problem? Or it is less simple than that?

Don't know where to direct this question if any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Hello

iTunes is compatible with Vista and there should not be any problem.
Yesterday, I installed iTunes 9 on my U400 and everything happened correctly.
If your laptop can not boot Vista correctly, then you should try the repair feature.

Turn on the computer and press F8. Now you will see the advanced boot menu.
    Now, you have many choices.

As a first step, you should try the option called: last good known Configuration (Advanced)

If this will not help and the Vista will not start then try the option called repair your computer. This option displays a list of system recovery tools, you can use to repair startup problems, run diagnostics, or restore your system.

If that does not help, then you will need to retrieve the unit using the Toshiba recovery disc or HARD drive recovery.

    Hi all

I have a problem with a Toshiba px1267e 320 external drive, when everything was ok with it I would like to move on and the blue led would come and change blue /violet as it was found on my laptop, a small vibration could be felt if I handled the case which indicates that the d/d engine was on.

I don't know what to do next.

I had a Word with computer store if they could recover some time I wait they told at least 6 hours work, if possible (don't want to shop)

I think that the external HARD drive is dead
Maybe it s a head crash which would explain the low clicking and other noises
Unfortunately, I have this case you can't do anything

    Hello

I have the following problem: I recorded a DVD in different stages (multisession) with Nero 6, but I can read only the first session on my laptop (Windows 98SE). On the other hand, I have no problem with multisessions CD

Could you help me in this case?

    Hello

I m not 100% sure, but I think that it s a problem with the burning software and/or the media. I found information there are many problems with playback of the files after burning the multisession DVD-R, + R (Win98SE). In my opinion, you should try to burn DVDs on media RW multisession.

  • Problems with audio CDs, burning on Windows 7 with VMWorkstation 9

I can not burn audio files with my current setup using VMWare 9.0.2

The host OS is Windows 7 (x 64) and the guest operating system is Windows 7 (x 64). On the host, I can create audio CDs using Windows Media Player or Nero 9 Essentials.  When I try the same operation on the client, both programs cannot write to the audio CD.  The host drive is a SATA Blu - ray burner.  I connected it to the virtual computer as a SCSI disk using these settings and Legacy Emulation is turned off:

    SCSI1.pciSlotNumber = "224".

    SCSI1.sasWWID = "50 05 05 6 d 66 52 4 b 50.

    SCSI1. Present = 'TRUE '.

    SCSI1.virtualDev = "lsisas1068".

    SCSI1:0. Present = 'TRUE '.

    SCSI1:0. FileName = "G:".

    SCSI1:0. DeviceType = "cdrom-raw"

I tried writing files of data of the virtual machine on a CD in the drive to Blu - ray in the host using either Nero 9 Essentials or directly with Windows 7 and do drag characteristic and files data write and verify correctly in the virtual machine.

As a test, I borrowed a USB DVD drive and plugged directly into the running virtual machine.  After Windows 7 it is detected in the virtual machine, I tried Windows Media Player and Nero 9 Essentials to burn audio CDs from the prompt and it has worked.

What should I do for the virtual machine to make it work with the internal drive to the SATA controller when creating audio CD?

This is certainly a bug with Audio CD burning.

I have re-installed Workstation 7 and 8 of the workstation and verified that the problem did not exist in older versions.

I tested with 9 Workstation, workstation 10.0.1 and fails audio CD burning.

This was reported as a VMWare bug (13403576911 application) to build 10.0.1 and although it might not be replicated at VMWare, they have managed to fix the problem and I confirmed the fix works on my hardware.  The fix should be in the next update of VMWorkstation which I guess will be 10.0.2

  • Problems with DVD/CD-RW on Satellite Pro M series

After searching the Forum questions / answers, it seems that many users have problems with the carpet * a 841 s UJ which is equipped with several types of Toshiba portable computers and I wonder why someone from Toshiba has not been able to intervene and to produce a final solution.

In my case, I can not format a CD - RW or a DVD + RW because the message "D:\ is not accessible" and also "incorrect function".

If DLA is selected in properties, can be as much as to be shown to a format selection window, but "Format failed due to general failure" happens.

Toshiba installation CD will work OK (I did this several times after losing data on the hard drive) but the writing seems to be beyond the capacity of the disc.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

BTW, the deletion of "Upper and Lower Filters" registry that I have seen offered as a solution will not work because there is only one entry for low filter - no higher.

You try to format the two supports using Windows option or using an application like Nero?
I can't imagine that there is a serious problem with ODD. Test it with Nero. I'm sure it will work properly.

Please, remove the drive from Device Manager. After restarting again the operating system should recognize the drive again. Maybe this procedure will solve this problem.

  • A very strange problem with DVD player (some DVD play not)

    Hello everyone.

I bought a laptop Dell Inspiron 3543 2 months ago. Overall, I am very satisfied with this product, but I have a problem with the DVD player. When I insert some DVD discs, the driver reads some DVDs but not others. After trying to play DVDs, I see that the DVD player play about half of the DVD I'm looking for. Although I can guarantee, I didn't send my laptop to the service because I can't work even a day without my cell phone. So, in order to solve the problem, I bought a DVD player new, original Dell (the same model of dvd player, which is Panasonic Matshita DVD +-RW UJ8E2). Today I started using my new DVD player, but it also has the same problem as my old DVD drive or it also does not play some DVD.

To make the issue even more strange, here are some details:

-My dvd drives have no problem and I have tried many original DVDs (especially the original films). And all the dvd disks that do not play on my computer play on other computers with no problems. There is no problem with the disks.

-Certainly no problem with the "DVD region Code". I use original DVDs with region code 2, which is the area code for my country.

-All my drivers, the operating system and the dvd drive drivers are up to date. When I look at my DVD drive properties, it is written that "the dvd drive works properly.

-When I insert a DVD disc, if my DVD player he plays, he plays each time. But if my dvd player does not play a dvd, and then he never plays it. So, there is a consistency in the dvd disc set to play or not. When a DVD disc does not play, my DVD player rolls the drive some time and then the DVD done pretending as if there is no disc in the drive.

-Both my old and newly purchased DVD drives have exactly the same problem, so I think that there's no problem like a lens dirty. I also think that there is no mechanical problem with one of my DVD drives because my newly purchased, original DVD player also has the same problem.

I thank everyone for any help or advice in advance.

Today, I received my dvd player third, new, Chinese, not original from a seller of spare part. He plays all DVDs with no problems. :)

If in the future someone always has the same problem as me and read this Web page to find a solution, you know where is the problem.
