Compatible lenses question

Greetings,

I am a beginner photographer and I currently own the 'Canon EOS Rebel T1I'. When I bought it came with the ' EF-S 18-55 IS Kit "lens. I'm looking to upgrade to the "Canon EOS 6 d ' soon and I was curious to know if the lens that I own is related to the new camera." I also have a lens 'EFS 55-250mm f/4-5, IS 6'.

If anyone has the resources that talk about compatibility, I would be grateful. I'm still foggy on what lenses with which cameras work.

Well-wishes,
C Jesse

Lenses with the designation of the EF-S are organs of harvest & Canon has intentionally designed them so that they do not rise to a body full frame that requires the EF-mount lenses. Objective EF however are we harvest as well as the body bodies full frame. Tamron & Sigma mount lenses usually full body framework even if originally designed to harvest organs, BUT they provide light for the entire surface of the senson in most cases.

  • Canon 6 d and that compatible lenses?

I recently sold all my equipment Nikon together for various reasons.  I'll buy the Canon 6 d when it comes out next month.

I live in the Japan and it is currently listed as a kit: EOS 6 d EF24 - 105L IS USM.  I want a 18-200 and hope that Canon fits Nikon and goes out with a 18-300 soon.  When I search contacts, what code number should I look to be sure it is 100% compatible with the 6 d.

Is this the 'EF', 'IS' or 'USM' in the part number I need to make sure that is always in a lens that is 100% compatible with the 6 d.

    * Beginner cannon *.

    Hello from Tokyo

The 6 d AF limited compared to 5-3 and a lot of Nikon, I advise you to try it before you buy.

"EF" means full frame, this is the only important to you. Do not buy one that says "EF - S" it's APS - C only sencor. All EF will be 100% compatible.

'IS' is stabilized and 'USM' is fast AF, they are irelevant in terms of compatible or not.

You will find 18-200 on sensors full frame as the 6 d. The standard zooms are more like the 24-105 you have selected. If you want a zoom and the size is very large, the 24-105 or the new 24-70 is a good choice.

Overall, I'm not sure why buy a camera full frame and use it with a single zoom dark. You will lose the benefit of the large sensor. At least, I recommend you buy a 50mm 1.8, as well as your body and play with him (it is 8000 JPY in Kakaku.com).

My advise is to try different lenses before settle you on a total of this pelases you. Usually people spend 2/3 of the budget on lentils, 1/3 only on the body, because the pictures you make depends more on the lenses. A lens can not do it all very well.

Will HP P/N 404574-888 1 GB memory in my Compaq DC5750 series desktop PC?  I know that the PC has 4 memory slots and I think that the memory must be installed in sets of two.  I have 2 GB total now with maps two memory supplied with the PC and there are two empty slots.  I was hoping to put in two additional 1 GB memory cards each to spend a total of 4GBs of memory.  Running Windows 7, I think that I have a memory bottleneck in the performance of the PC.  When I go to the Task Manager, my memory is already 87% used after a fresh reboot.  I appreciate comments.  Thank you

What is an MT or SSF?  Here is a parts reference guidefor the Mt.  To the #2 page, the 1 GB is part # 398038-001, and here's a price.  The reference you gave 404574-888 is PC2 6400, if your system is PC2 5300 latest 6400 will return to 5300.

  • About T3I EF lenses

I just want to know if my calculations are correct on this point. This is the focal point of equavalent of some privileged lenses EF on the T3i. I multiply by 1.6 x culture right?

    24mm EF would be 38mm
30mm EF would be 48 mm
    85mm EF would be 136mm

Is that correct or should I go?

I was wrong. BY EOS, I meant ARE full frame camera and not Cameras EOS Rebel EF-S.

Also, pass my T3I and 6 d very often when I photograph an event. Photographed it hard when I don't have the same point of view using the same lens wiith each camera.  What I'm trying to do is buy a first decent Wideangle to fit on the T3i. This will allow me use the T3i just for wide angle of shooting at a focal distance and get photos decent quaility compared to 6 J using a zoom lens.

It's the best configuration, I can think that it's just easier for us my 6 d lenses and switch instead to carry two cameras.

Well, now it is more clear what you are doing, and you go back between the two formats.

However, he has very little of primes that are ultra wide on a full frame and still very broad camera on a culture's APS - C sensor. 24mm is a good wide angle on a full frame camera, but only behaves like a slightly large 'normal' when used on a crop sensor camera. I have and use a Canon EF 20 mm... fairly wide on full frame. It's nice, but only a moderately wide lens (32mm FF equivalent) on a sharecropper.

There are Canon 14 mm (origin and Mark II). And there is a manual focus only Zeiss 15 mm ZE. There are also a few glasses of 17mm. These are quite expensive, however. And, in a culture a 17mm camera sensor is only moderately wide.

In the past the Tamron and Sigma made 14mm full frame compatible lenses. Those who were of an image quality questionable and abandoned several years ago... so will be available used, if you can find them.

There is also a 14mm Samyang/Rokinon lens which is full frame compatible and affordable, but the update manual and operation manual only, so more time to work with. It sells for a little over $ 300 and also lie in Bower, dotted, ProOptic, Vivitar and other brand names (Vivitar called 13mm, even if it's the same lens.) This lens has strong "mustache" distortion, but there is software that can correct.

Another possible consideration, all 14, 15mm and many the 17 mm... and some of the largest of the full frame capable ultra wide angle zoom, too... tend to have front lens elements very strongly convex which allow not the standard to mount vissants filters.

There are simply not many really wide Prime lenses for crop sensor cameras. And most of the primes and zooms that are wide on FF, are only slightly or moderately wide on culture.

If you want to use the lens wide angle on the T3i onlycrop sensor, there are a few good zooms you should really consider.

Canon recently introduced an EF-S 10-18mm IS STM lens which is a real bargain priced at $300 and even less for sale currently. I have not yet used, but have heard a lot of good reports. No, is not as sharp edge on board as others, but it is quite surprisingly good for the price (which is at least $100 less than any other ultra wide-angle zoom... $200 or more at most).

Canon EF-S 10-22mm USM has been around for a few years, sells for about $650, and in my opinion is one of the best ultrawides to cultures of any manufacturer photo sensor. It is very well fixed, strong side by side with well controlled chromatic aberration, reasonably good quality of construction, able to use the standard 77mm filter and has exceptionally good flare control.

Sigma offers two versions of 10-20mm and the widest of all in a 8-16 mm. A 10-24 mm Tamron. Tokina has offered the fastest in a 11-16/2.8, but also a 12-24/4, (which are now discontinued, but can still be found). Tokina is currently introducing new models of 11 - 20/2.8 and 12-28/4.

However, all of the above zooms are 'just culture' (at least on a technical level, see below).

If you want to use the lens on your T3i and 6 d...

Canon of nine 11-24 2.8 L / would work fine... but is very expensive (almost $3000).

Sigma offers a 12-24mm, which is full frame and crop sensor compatible. It is rather expensive and has one important of distortion.

There are various 16-28mm, 16-35mm, 17-35mm, 17-40mm which are full-frame compatible... tho, all this is just moderately wide on the T3i culture.

An interesting possiblitity... I can tell you for certain that a Tokina 12-24/4 is a good lens on cameras of the harvest, and that it is partially usable on full frame. I tested it as wide as 17 or 18 mm on my 5DII, until it begins to show the vignetting. I understand the Tokina 11-16/2.8 is usable on FF, too... but only she is put in 16mm. (I haven't used so can't say on the two new models of Tokina.)

    FOR INFO:

Colloquial for Canon EOS Digital cameras is "APS - C / 1.6 X crop" and "full frame / 1.0 X.

Or just 'crop sensor', 'culture' or 'cropper' vs 'full frame' or 'FF '.

Canon lenses are ' EF/full frame compatible' or 'EF-S/APS-C only of cultures '.  Only Canon's EF-S objectives using a variation on the EF mount, designed to not allow lenses to physically join the cameras 'incompatible '.

There is no "ES" or even "EF" cameras and few people to refers to «Caméras EF - S» That's because the cameras APS - C or crop can use both EF and EF-S objectives... While the cameras full frame can only objective EF of use. Objective EF - S will rise not yet physically on the camera models full frame as your 6 d (nor on the third cannon used to provide format: APS - H or 1.3 X.hich also EF lenses require).

Home objective third-party manufacturers there are not EF-S-objectives. Sigma, Tokina and Tamron all only use EF mount, regardless. Although they may be possible to mount on a camera full frame, many glasses they offer always are "cultures only"... They do not produce an image circle large enough to cover the entire surface of a full frame sensor, it will strongly vignette. Yet some work partially (as indicated above).

Canon EF, "Di" of Tamron, Tokina "FX" and "DG" lenses Sigma are all sensor full frame and compatible cultures.

Canon EF-S, 'Di II' Tamron and Tokina "DX" Sigma "DC" lenses are all cultures only.

    I hope this helps!

  • Drag-and-drop questions: arranged randomly moveable elements

I suspect that the answer is 'no', but maybe an expert could confirm: it is possible to produce a drag-and-drop quiz, in which the movable elements are arranged at random at the beginning of the quiz? The purpose is to ensure that students can not cheat so easily...

As an alternative, it is possible to create two or three different drag-and-drop (each quiz on a transparency) and quizzes randomly present the student with one of these slides / quiz? I realize other messages than drag-and-drop is not compatible with question pools. I think here is a random, random, blade issues as such.

    The answers would be appreciated.

I don't think that your first scenario is possible, but I'm not an expert on JS, nor that I have experienced enough with this new accessory CPExtra. However with a good Setup, cheating is not as simple as that for D & D.

Second scenario seems possible: you can easily generate a random number (example: between 45 and 47 if your slides D & D have these numbers) and use this number for navigation. Of course, you will need to take into account that all navigation will have to be customized (not), because you will need to avoid the other 2 slides are visited. It also means that you need to turn on branch conscious of having to fix the score at the end because the score of the D & D 3 slides will be present in the Total score. Indeed, question pools are not possible for D & D.

  • Why does LR 4 not recognize objectives Sigma (NEX 7) automatically in the development module for lens corrections

In Lightroom 4.6, "to enable lens profile" in the module development works perfectly for Sony lenses with ARW NEX (NEX-7) files.

When I use lenses Sigma instead, nothing happens even if "enable the correction of the profile" is checked, regardless of what is defined next: Auto, custom, or default...

I'm tired of always having to fill 3 profile of lenses (but only for Sigma lenses) questions with 1: Sigma, then 2: look for the lens to Lightroom long list of Sigma click and finally 3: hope to.

I'm assuming that Lightroom reads the metadata (where the objectives Sigma and Sony are fully described, I checked!), but is not cooperating with Sigma, while Sony lenses work so well.

Why is that so and how can I get good lens profile automatically if the lens has its own profile loaded Adobe?

Choose the correct lens manually, then click on "Save new lens default profile is the" configuration of the menu drop down. LR should hold the lens and use it as the default in the future. See screenshot below

Why did you start a new post? Post again only after only 8 minutes accomplished nothing.

There is no general problem going to EL Capitan on your Mac.

    Some applications may require updating.

Some devices like printer may require the updated drivers. For some readers of devices not being updated are available.

  • Question macro lenses

I'm looking to take my macro photography to the next level.  As far as body go, I have a 6 d and a 70 d.  For the 6 d, I have an EF 100 mm f/2.8 L macro lens, and for the 70 D, I have an EF-S 60 mm f/2.8 lens.  I'm looking to the MP-E 65mm f/2.8, and here my question: this lens is compatible with the full-frame and APS - C sensor bodies?

It's a regular EF mount so it adapts to any EOS body.

  • Digital Dictaphone with Windows 7 questions. Recorder current is not compatible and do not find online that will be compatible.

I recently bought a computer with Windows 7 64 bit home edition for my father. His job requires him to use a digital voice recorder to dictate things and send by e-mail to his company in the .dss format. He is currently using a recorder Olympus DS 330 on its old Windows XP machine. I called Olympus to ensure (an Olympus DS-330 recorder voice digital) device would be compatible with Windows 7 BEFORE buying the new computer for him. They assured me that "with version 7.1 of their new software it should be compatible. I was worried because the rep on the phone with me does not seem very confident in her answer and him using the word "should" is never a good thing.

Sure enough I got the new Windows 7 computer running, installed the software, they told me to get their site, connected his player... The device has been recognized as connected BUT no driver could be found. Nothing I've tried the last hours won't work because there is simply no driver of Olympus or someone else to make this device work with Windows 7. To make matters worse I can't find a single digital voice recorder to buy for him online that IS compatible with Windows 7 Home Edition 64-bit.

I thought that this OS was not suppose to have questions 'pilot' that brought the Vista. Clearly, this isn't the case. Now I'm stuck with a computer of my father can not use everything just because Windows 7 can't find enough important digital voice recorders work with. Someone has an idea of a recorder of the word that is compatible with windows 7? Yes I have not looked at this site "Compatibility Windows"... no luck. So, if I can't find a... Looks like we're $500 thanks a ton Olympus and Windows 7!

    Thanks for posting that.

The compatible ID confirms that it is not only a storage device, so it uses just the drivers supplied with Windows.  If this isn't a problem with Windows 7.  This is a problem in which the hardware vendor must be resolved.

I searched online for the VID & PID and found only a few strokes on Bing.  None of them make no mention of 64-bit support.  And they are all pretty old.  I see dates pilot since 2001.

So the best option is to contact Olympus again to see if they have drivers for Vista 64 bit or Windows 7 64 - bit for this device, or to confirm to you what devices ARE supported on 64-bit.

Looks like the above driver package for their recorders VN series.  It seems to be relatively cheap - http://www.olympusamerica.com/cpg_section/product.asp?product=1389&fl=5&acccategory=84 (the VN5200 is still cheaper).

  • Install HRCS 9.0 with Linux question: HRCS 9.0 is compatible with PT8.53?

    People,

Hello. I have severe headaches on the compatible version of PeopleSoft PeopleTools Application!  I need urgent PeopleSoft Campus Solution Application 9.0! I installed it 2 times. First time said PeopleTools 8.49 is too low and this time that PeopleTools 8.53 is too high. What a headache for me!

The current version of Solution Campus is 9.0 and combined with HCM 9.0. There is no solution Campus 9.1 or 9.2 Although there are HCM 9.1 and 9.2.

When I install HCM and Campus Solution 9.0 with PeopleTools 8.49 in Windows Server 2003 and login in the application designer, I got the message as below:

"The database is free 8.50.  The PeopleTools running requires databases at 8.49 release". Then I upgraded PeopleTools 8.49 $8.50 to login in the application designer.

Now, I was installing HCM and Campus Solution 9.0 with PeopleTools8.53. Server machine is Oracle Linux 5.10 and Windows XP-based client computer.  The architecture of my internet is WebLogic11g/Tuxedo11g/OracleDatabase 11 GR 1 material. PeopleTools 8,53 works correctly in the browser.

In the database server Oracle Linux 5.10 machine, I run scripts 'createdb10.sql, utlspace.sql, hrcddl.sql, dbowner.sql, psroles.sql, psadmin.sql and connect.sql' one by one. Can I use Data Mover to load Windows XP data into the Oracle Linux 5.10 DB HRCS90 instance. The Data Mover script hrcs90ora.dms is done correctly in Windows XP. Configuration Manager is configured correctly.  But when I login in the application designer, I can't connect and get the message as below:

«Security Table Manager (Get): the database is release 8.52.»  The PeopleTools running require databases at 8.53 release. »

    My questions are:

First of all, requires PeopleTools 8,53 HCM and 9.1 Campus Solution or superior?
Secondly, HCM and Campus Solution 9.0 require PeopleTools 8.50 8.51 and 8.52 only?
Thirdly, can demote us PeopleTools 8.53 to 8.52 to run 9.0 Solution Campus?

    Thank you.

If I read your response correctly you don't understand what that a PeopleSoft database is.  Operation of database is a set of tables of the Application and a set of PeopleTools tables in an single database.  When you create a database "PeopleTools" with Data Mover, you get only PeopleTools.  When you create a database system or demo you get a version of PeopleTools predetermined (in this case 8.52) AND the tables of expected demand for what you install.  You do not install the application on a database and use PeopleTools of the other.  Use a database query tool and tables in your "Application" and "PeopleTools" databases from the list. You will see that the Application has the PeopleTools already (clue: look at the tables named PS % without underscore after PS).  You can also compare your Data Mover logs when you created these databases.

Revisit the PeopleTools upgrade guide for steps to upgrade your database application.

    Hello

Last month, my broken laptop screen without no reason.
Since I know that it is not covered by the warranty and it is a shame to fall, I searched for a replacement screen.

Now, the problem I encountered is that I don't seem to find replacement for my laptop model itself screens (C870-15Z), but I find screens for example a C870 - 11 H.

This screen is compatible with my laptop or should I look for one that is specifically made for my C870-15Z?

    Hello

Sometimes you can find that information on the compatible readers in the user manual.
Maybe you will find some info.
But generally, all devices and compatible readers, you can order from the Toshiba service partner in your country.
It is important that you go buy a car with a csel/slave/master settings right because if the disc has wrong settings of the BIOS will not recognize the device.
I would recommend to contact the ASP and control player of these guys right here.

On the Toshiba site, you will find the database with all of the ASP s worldwide

I am a seller of oil field that moves and I need my first hearing aids.  I have loss of hearing with a classic old guy and it's average but I'm late for h / a. I'm missing an important part of my life and want to hear the birds sing again!  I currently use a 5 s with 9.2 and a bluetooth Plantronics traveler legend.  I have hands free for safe driving and especially for taking notes of value and wear it all day.  I don't listen to music or videos, no vehicle bluetooth and any other iOS device.  The goal is good h/a and the use of good phone.

I am interested in the Halo of Starkey and research scared me a bit of the questions that I barely understand!  Googling found a lot of comments, but they seem to all written by agents of sale or competitors.

The function of the hearing aid remains so that on the phone?

In light of my basic needs, all warnings other than the stupid of these things cost?

Let me know if you need more details.

Where is the microphone bluetooth on the Halos?

--> The microphone's upstairs behind the part of the ear. If you use the Halos as your ears "on the phone", you still talk in the phone's microphone.

Is the call phone stereo or mono?

--> Is not true stereo, but you will hear the call through two hearing aids.

The function of the hearing aid remains so that on the phone?

--> You can leave the active hearing aid microphones or cut them. It's your choice.

In light of my basic needs, all warnings other than the stupid of these things cost?

--> Feel free to test-drive a few models, unless the first really works well for you.,.

I am also considering a 6s, this would be a better phone for the Halo team?

-->, I can't comment on that, except to say that my experience with multiple iPhones over the years that I have great confidence that each new model is better than the previous. There are a few bumps on the road, but Apple is good enough, solve them. YMMV

Prone glitch or awkward iphone apps?

    --> Not, in my opinion.

I'm bored of conversation in the meeting rooms, restaurants are tough and shows are terrible for the hearing?

--> Which has not changed for me. It is the nature of sound amplification without being able to directly select that sounds to amplify and to mute.

Generally you are happy with new h/a and halos in particular.

    -->, I am very happy.

Everything is provided with a newbie would not recognize that you like?

--> I like the ability to define a 'from' sensitive geographically, where you can control the volume up down and the bass/treble back. It is a crude tool, but it works.
