Compatible processors for A7V8X - LA / Kelut-GL6E

I have a desktop a720n and need a replacement processor.  The motherboard spec sheet shows that two compatible processors:

  • Athlon XP 3200 + Barton Processor (2.20 GHz, 400 MHz)
  • Athlon XP 2700 + Thoroughbred (2.16 GHz 333 MHz) processor

Someone I know has a Sempron 3300 + SDA3300DKV4E Socket A (462) that I could pass.  I wonder if it would work as the same socket, or do I have to buy one of the processors listed above.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can shed some light for me.

Hello

The two listed processors are the only processors that are guaranteed to be compatible with your motherboard. The custom HP BIOS is unlikely to have support for any other treatment. Other these two plug and you are likely to get the error message "CPU" incompatible and an inability to start windows,

    Hello

I would say it would be much easier (and cheaper) to buy a new laptop that already comes with the processor you want.  I think it would be a difficult task to locate a MB that has the socket you need that will fit your chassis of portable computers and if you could, at the time wherever you add the cost of the MB, CPU, a copy the retail of Windows if your existing installation is an OEM etc a new portable computer might well be the cheaper option.

  • What is the real limit of RAM on card mother A7V8X-LA/Kelut-GL6E?

MoBo sheet says "memory Max size is up to 2 GB, 1 GB per slot, HP recommends a maximum memory of 1 GB, 512 MB per slot."  Computer says sheet "RAM (installed): 512 MB ax512MB up to 64 MB shared memory video memory Maximum: 1 GB (2x512MB).»

I did a live chat with an HP 'tech' and of course got to the line of the party of (paraphrasing) "I can't tell you why, but do not.

  • The processors for vMotion compatibility

We have just upgraded to vSphere Essentials 6, Plus so we can take advantage of vMotion. We have built an almost exact replica of our existing Dell PowerEdge T420 server, so that we can have a high availability for virtual machines, they move from one physical server to another, depending on the needs. Looking through the documentation of DRS cluster, it is said that the processors 'must come from the same class of supplier (Intel and AMD) with the same family of compatible processor for migration with vMotion. . "(vSphere 5.5 Documentation Centre()'

Our current server has a processor of v2 Intel Xeon E5-2440 (8 cores, 20 MB of cache, 1.9 GHz). The seller we buy our new generation of server of door the same CPU model number (Intel Xeon E5-2440), but with 6 cores, 15 MB of cache, 2. 4 GHz. They have to special order the exact same processor, we currently have. We will encounter any problems if the rest of the hardware is the same, but the processors are slightly different? Same supplier, same family, same model number – only with fewer cores, less cache, more GHz. Is that what I should consider before moving?

    Thank you!

    Ben

Your processors are of different generations, the E5-2440 is a Sandy Bridge and the E5-2440 v2 is an Ivy Bridge, take a look here: http://ark.intel.com/compare/64612, 75263

And since they are from a different generation, you need to activate CVS in your cluster to the power of the machine virtual vMotion between these hosts, have a look here for more information on the CVS: KB VMware: best vMotion compatibility (EVC) processor support

  • Satellite C660D-1GD compatible processors

I am trying to improve a laptop Toshiba Satellite from one of my friends who said that the laptop is not just pull its weight when doing things like watching movies, etc.

I noticed that the CPU of the laptop is a 1.3 GHz dual-core chip AMD E-Series.
I also noticed that the chip has clocks shader Radeon on it even, is not as simple as any exchange it for a faster processor that runs on the same socket.

I was wondering if there is a list of compatible processors somewhere that I could use as a reference.

I think the chip that is in the laptop at the moment is an E300.
I did some research, and apparently there's an E450 CPU that works on the same 18 Watts and clocks 80 shader and other similar features, but the basic 1.6 GHz speed.

Before I try to purchase and enter a CPU like that, I want to assure you that it will work in the laptop and that there was not any better CPU should I use instead. Please notify.

Thanks in advance for the help.

    See you soon
    Adrian

    Hello

Update CPU is always tricky because it didn't is not supported officially by any laptop manufacturer.
So you can do but just at your own risk.

The laptop supports the AMD A50M chipset and AFAIK C660D/C665D/Pro C660D series is based on a series of processor Dual Core/Quad Core with CPU core AMD Champlain.

With the Champlain core processors can be identified by CPU ID.
CPU de Champlain processors ID numbers are 100F53 and 100F63.
    http://en.Wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_AMD_Phenom_microprocessors#Phenom_II_mobil e_processors

However, first you must make sure that chipset would support the new processor. If so, then there is still a question about BIOS support.
Unfortunately, there is no detail if BIOS would support the other processors, given that these improvements are not supported, so I see only one solution for you: you should test at your own risk

  • DC7700 Compatible processors

Hey everybody.  I am new to the forum and do not know if this is where I can post my questions CPU.

I recently found in possession of a DC7700 with Pentium D 945 @3. 40 GHz.  I know this is an old PC, but it works very well with Win8.  I was looking to upgrade the processor and bought an Intel Pentium Dual-Core E5200 2.5 GHz 800 MHz Socket 775 45nm CPU for a dell inspiron a few years ago.

I found a list of compatible processors Dual-core (E4300, E4400, E6300, E6400, E6600, E6700).  Looks like it would fall in the range, but I'm not sure.  Is this compatible with a HP mother 0A54H or it must be one of the exact processors listed?

If my E5200 does not support the Intel Core 2 Duo E6700 2.66 GHz Dual-Core CPU SL9ZF LGA 775 processor would be a good upgrade?

    Any help would be great.

    Hello:

Here is the link to the quickspecs for your dc7700.

The supported processors are on page 9.

    http://h18000.www1.HP.com/products/QuickSpecs/12543_ca/12543_ca.PDF

IMO, the E6700 2.66 GHz Conroe would be a better choice than the E5200

I posted the side by side comparison...

    http://Ark.Intel.com/compare/37212, 27251

As you can see from the comparison, the Conroe E6700 is faster, has a faster speed of the FSB and supports VT (if you need to).

Your E5200 should work, but you will either need to update the BIOS to the latest revision, or to install the latest firmware update.

It is not a supported processor without applying the updates.

Otherwise, you will get an error of unsupported processor microcode.

The E6700 Conroe provides an update without problem.

  • HP pavilion dv7 1260us: upgrade memory and processor for hp pavilion dv7 1260us

I was wondering if possible to upgrade my memory and processor... hp pavilion dv7 1260us?

    Here are the specs:

    Plug

You have an AMD Turion RM-74 processor and 4 GB of RAM. The RAM is DDR2 and it may take 8 GB of DDR2, but that the memory of any reputable vendor is crazy expensive, like $150 ++ for 2 x 4 gig modules.

    Here is the Service Manual:

    Manual

The top of the page compatible processor is an AMD Turion™ Ultra Dual-Core 35W ZM-86 2.40 GHz with 2 MB of L2 cache

If you want to go from 2.2 ghz to 1 meg to 2.4 ghz with 2 MB of L2 cache L2 cache, may be a treatment of 20% energy improvement. Not enough, IMO, to justify the difficulty because it is still not in the ballpark of machines of today.

You can buy the processor from a dealer renowned for $15 with free shipping. That should tell you what the demand is for her. Basically obsolete.

I replaced motherboards in several series dv7-1000, and it is one of the harder to take apart laptops. Many cables in strange tablecloth and Remora in all directions.

We are ready to help in any way possible with the upgrade, but in this case probably the best advice that I can give you is "don't".
