  This does not sound like a glitch, it sounds like user error caused by small misunderstanding of the works of the tracking camera. The only thing the camera tracker adds to keyframes are the camera. It calculates the angle of view, the camera position and camera movements. When you take markers they need to be in the same plane as the object in the scene. For example, if you had a few markers followed on an object that was 4 feet in front of the camera and a few other markers on an object that was 20 feet from the camera and allowing you this markers to add a solid and a solid camera wouldn't fit to objects in the scene, it would float between them and probably look a little weird.   Select the footage in the timeline panel, then go to layer > Pre-compose.   Thanks again, Todd.  I have found a workaround and Walter Soyka simultaneously ID had the problem - set up, they seem to be a bug in AE when followed 3D clips time-reversed.  Easy enough to fix once identified and hopefully fixable in future app updates.  Details here:
