    From Internet Explorer

Once the data was transferred to the printer, it can usually be stopped.  Some printers are different and allow you to cancel, even if she has already begun to put ink on paper.  Others only allow you to cancel during the data send always on the wire.

    So, it's normal.

  • HP 20-r013w: computer does not start if a memory card is inserted in the second take of DDR3 SODIMM 204 pins

My computer has 4 GB of RAM installed, but in the manual said I could upgrade to 8 GB. There are two jacks for memory cards for this model. When I checked there is a memory card of 4 GB installed in one of the (black color) and the second (white) were empty. So, I bought a second card 4 GB memory: 4 GB Crucial single DDR3 1600 MT/s (PC3-12800) CL11 SODIMM 204 pins 1.35V/1.5V Notebook Memory Module CT51264BF160B that has the required parameters. Today I received the card and tried to place it in the second take (white) and then the computer does not restart. The same thing happens if the original of the memory card is inserted into the white Jack. There is no sound when I tried to launch the screen of the computer in black only. At the same time, both cards operate perfectly if located to the black Terminal. Is there something wrong with the second take, or should I do something before placing a card inside. Thank you!

I'm sorry I did not solve your problem.  To my knowledge there is no setting that can be changed to allow the second slot working correctly.  As the computer is still under warranty, I suggest contacting the seller for help.  They should help you to solve the problem.

  • You can save a broken computer? My computer does NOT start after the blue hp screen.

In the past months, my computer has been the object of a freezing randomly, and Ctrl + Alt + Delete does not work. I stopped him via the power button. Sometimes, when I start it again, the computer moniter shows nothing but a black screen and the computer sounds different when it starts normally. When this happens, I turn it off again hit the left side of the desktop and turn on again. Whenever I do this, the computer starts normally, and I go on the computer use.

Yesterday morning, after a break of 2 days, acess my computer and it is random freezing thing once again. I force close down as one normally do, and the computer does not start and displays the same black screen and the same fan/air weird sound. I stopped him and I hit the side RIGHT this time, I think and when I turn on the computer, the usual blue HP screen appears with the establishment, boot, diagnostics and system recovery things. HOWEVER, after this screen, a black screen will appear with this weird blue symbol on the upper left corner, I have never seen this and it looks like a circle with a triangle and a Pentagon below and it remains essentially on this screen forever. When I try to hit the establishment, boot, diagnostics and the shortcuts to system recovery, on the lower left side of the screen, it says "Menu boot loading...". ' or whatever the shortcut of loading represents, but nothing ever happens. When I press the other keys, this tapping noise comes from the computer at each tap of the keyboard.

I have no idea what to do, and at this point, my first priority is to save important files on the computer. Does anyone know what is the problem? I want her more than a problem of system rather than a virus problem because refusing the boot black screen thing lasts for years. My computer is 3-4 years. I enclose a sketch of what looks like the weird symbol.

  • Error - NTLDR missing Windows XP Home computer does not start.

Original title: XP-based computer does not start.

XP Home does not start after I uninstalled a large file of Samsung mobile phone. I get a missing NTLDR error message and have had a System32 error as well, but there is no DOS prompt that would allow me to access anything whatsoever. Another problem is that I lost my installation CD. I initially bought this Dell PC nine over 6 years ago, so can provide identification details, if necessary program. Could someone tell me how I can make a recovery CD please? (No floppy drive not installed in the PC). To further complicate things (Yes, I know - I created many more problems that we all need), I have to keep my files on the hard disk, so cannot do a complete reformat, unless someone can tell how to save them somehow. My BACK skills could be summed up as "plodder inexperienced but determined!

The file might be missing or it could just be that XP can't find it if your file system has somehow got corrupted.

As the forums MS Answers does not prompt for any information system when a new question is asked, we know absolutely nothing about your system.

Not knowing the basic information a problem prolongs the frustration and the agony of these issues.

Provide information on your system, the better you can:

What is your system brand and model?

What is your Version of XP and the Service Pack?

Your system have IDE or SATA disks?

Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

The question was preceded by a loss of power, aborted reboot or abnormal termination?  (this includes the plug pulling, buttons power, remove the battery, etc.)

The afflicted system has a working CD/DVD (internal or external) drive?

System32 error, you see, is what exactly?

Depends on a few factors, there could be another copy of the file NTLDR in other places on your system, but you have to start on something to find out whether there is or not.

After answering the above questions, I begin to make a CD from Recovery Console bootable XP by running a chkdsk/r, first on your HARD drive and then see what is left to do.

    Here's how:

If you have no XP bootable media (or aren't sure you have) create a bootable XP Recovery CD of Console and don't forget (no support for XP not necessary).

This is not the same as recovery disks that may have come to a store to purchase the system.

You can make a bootable Recovery Console CD by downloading an ISO file and burn it to a CD.

The ISO bootable image file you need to download is called:

    xp_rec_con. ISO

    Download the ISO from here:

    http://www.mediafire.com/?ueyyzfymmig

Use a new CD and this simple and free program to burn your ISO file and create your bootable CD (do not install UniBlue or the Ask Toolbar - never!):

    http://www.ImgBurn.com/

Here are some instructions for ImgBurn:

    http://Forum.ImgBurn.com/index.php?showtopic=61

It would be a good idea to test your bootable CD on a computer running.

You may need to adjust the computer BIOS settings to use the CD-ROM drive as the first device to boot instead of the hard drive.  These adjustments are made before Windows tries to load.  If you miss it, you will need to restart the system again.

When you start on the CD, follow the instructions:

Press any key to boot from CD...

    Installing Windows... going to pronounce.

Press 'R' to enter the Recovery Console.

Select the installation that you want to access (usually 1: C:\WINDOWS)

You may be asked to enter the password (usually empty).

You should be in the folder C:\WINDOWS.  It's the same as the

C:\Windows folder that you see in Solution Explorer.

The Recovery Console allows base as file commands: copy, rename, replace, delete, chkdsk, fixboot, fixmbr, cd, etc.

For a list of the commands in the Recovery Console, type help at the prompt of commands or read on here XP Recovery Console:
    http://www.Microsoft.com/resources/documentation/Windows/XP/all/proddocs/en-us/recovery_console_cmds.mspx?mfr=true

A good idea before you start things must first verify the integrity of your file system by using the chkdsk command.

In the command prompt window, run the chkdsk command on the drive where Windows is installed to try to fix any problems on the afflicted player.

Running chkdsk is fine, even if he finds no problem.  It won't hurt anything to run it.

Assuming your boot drive is C, run the following command:

    CHKDSK C: /r

Let chkdsk finish to correct the problems, he could find.

It may take a long time for chkdsk complete or they seem to be "stuck".  Be patient.  If the HARD drive led blinks always, chkdsk is something.  Keep an eye on the amount of the percentage to be sure that it is still making progress.  It may even seem to go back sometime.

You must run chkdsk/r again until it finds no error to correct.

Remove the CD, and then type "exit" to exit the RC and restart the computer.

You have not to set the BIOS to boot the disk HARD since the CD won't be.

    1. computer does not start after the Windows XP logo window
2 works well in safe mode, even connect to the external monitor
    3. I reinstalled xp many times, problem stil exist.

    All the answers?

    Hi dhanushm,

    1. What happens after the Windows logo screen?
    2. You receive an error message?
    3. You have security software installed on the computer?
    4. Have you performed an installation clean Windows XP and even after that this problem exists?

    Method 1

As the computer starts up fine in safe mode there is a possibility that some third-party programs installed on the computer is the origin of the problem.

I suggest that you configure the computer in a clean boot state and check if it helps.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

See section to learn more about how to clean boot.

  • Computer does not start after the installation of Win XP SP3

original title: ServicePack 3 does not work

After loading service pack 3 my computer does not upwards, unless I use safe mode. It restores not to any restore point. I uninstall and go back to service pack two and get constant reminders to update three when it won't work. After saying it works fine if a little slow in two so is there any point of update.

Recently, I reset my computer to factory settings to erase the disc from loads of unwanted waste and programs. Reloaded ServicePack two, he wouldn't go back with gel. After reading the old posts, I found a link to Jespers blog. It contained a small tool that intelPPM problems detected and then given the option to turn off the setting. http://msinfluentials.com/blogs/jesper/archive/2008/05/08/does-your-amd-based-computer-boot-after-installing-xp-sp3.aspx.

This fixes the problem and service pack three charges and now works fine. The tool is loaded in seconds.
