Computer hangs when it is idle for 2 minutes. How to extend his period of blocking?

I stop using the computer for a few minutes and it will lock mode so I have to relog in once again, how to change this setting so that it does not lock up this fast, as it is a pain to have to connect every two minutes so I'll make a cup of tea etc.

You need to adjust the settings of the screen saver. Click Start, click Help, then search for help on the screen saver.

Otherwise, you may need to change your power settings in Control Panel.

Here's what I use and recommend: (these are all free and very effective versions.)

Avast and Prevx proved extremely reliable and compatible with all I have
launched on them. Microsoft Security Essentials and Prevx have also proven to be very
reliable and compatible. Use MSE or Avast and Prevx, Prevx 3 but not all.

Avast Home free - stop any shields is not necessary except leaving Standard, Web, and
    Operation of the network.

    Prevx - Home - free

    Windows Firewall

Windows Defender (is not necessary if you use MSE)

    Protected IE - mode

IE 8 - SmartScreen filter WE (IE 7 phishing filter)

I also IE always start with asset if filter InPrivate IE 8.
(It may temporarily turn off with the little icon to the left of the + bottom
    right of IE)

Two versions of Avast are available 5.x and 4.8 x

Avast - home - free - 5.x stop shields you do not use (except files, Web, network, &)
Shields of behavior) - double click on the icon in the Notification area - real time Orange - click on the
Shield that you want to stop - STOP. To stop the Orange icon to show an error indicator-
Click on the Orange icon - top right - settings - click on the status bar - uncheck shields you
    disabled - click OK
    http://www.avast.com/free-antivirus-download

Avast 4.8 x - home - free - stop shields, you don't need except leaving Standard, Web,.
and the network running. (Double-click the blue icon - look OK. - upper left - Shields details
    Finish those you don't use).
    http://www.avast.com/free-antivirus-download#TAB4

Or use Microsoft Security Essentials - free
    http://www.Microsoft.com/Security_Essentials/

Prevx works well alongside MSE or Avast

Prevx - home - free small, fast, exceptional protection CLOUD, working with other security
programs. It is a single scanner, VERY EFFICIENT, if it finds something come back here
or use Google to see how to remove.

    PCmag - Prevx - Editor's choice
    http://www.PCMag.com/Article2/0, 2817,2346862,00.asp

Also get Malwarebytes - free - use as scanner only. If you ever think malware and that
would be unusual with Avast and occasional Prevx running with the exception of a low level cookie
(not much), to UPDATE and then run it as a scanner. I have a lot of scanners and they
never find anything of note that I started to use this configuration.

  • my computer is useless until it 'heats' for 15 minutes - how to fix this?

After that I turned on my laptop, I have to have at least 15 minutes to use it as it became so slow. I get "not responding" much. There is no virus detected. I have a Toshiba Satellite that is about 6 years old.

Don't let many programs start with Windows if you don't need it out immediately.

Many programs adds a key in the registry automatically during the installation to start with Windows.

So once Windows loaded, these programs remain running in the background without requiring you really need them.

You can always start these programs manually via start > all programs when you need it. However, it is always important that your Antivirus and your firewall is activated and starts with Windows.
Everything else is optional and it is up to you decide which programs you think are useful to start with Windows or not.

To disable some programs from starting with windows, go to start > run and type: "msconfig" (without the quotes).

Select the "Startup" tab and uncheck what you don't want to start with Windows.

You can always reactivate their then selecting them.

  • How to close a form automatically if it is idle for a minute?

We are talking about 10 forms here. We want to do this: we have a forms applications. Open a form in the menu and the user uses. Now, if the user does not use the form for 1 minute, i.e. If the form is idle for one minute without keyboard or mouse activity we want to give a message to the use and close the form or to block/gel form.

    How do this pls?

The only way to support to do would be to create a java bean that monitors the activity of the client. Demonstration of how to do this is available on the forms download page:

    http://www.Oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/forms/downloads/index.html

Search: "timeout Java Bean". Remember that this is only an exampleof _____. To use this example in your production application, it may be necessary to adapt the java code to meet your needs. This example is not supported by the Support of Oracle. Use it at your own risk.

You will probably get suggestions to set FORMS_TIMEOUT to a value less than the PULSATION. It is strongly discouraged because it can cause unpredictable results and let the end user with a comparing browser hanging. Again, using a java bean is the preferred method.

    Hello

1 did you do changes on the computer before the show?

    2. deal with any problem with Internet Explorer when you browse the internet?

    3. it happens with other applications as well?

Method 1: Safe Mode with network and clean boot

Check if the problem persists in safe mode with network. If the problem does not persist in SafeMode with network check if the problem persists in the boot.

Step 1: Safe Mode with networking

Networking in safe mode starts Windows with a limited set of files and drivers with networking. Startup programs do not work in safe mode, and only the basic drivers needed to start Windows are installed.

    See the site:

Start your computer in safe mode

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

    Step 2: Clean boot

When the computer starts to boot, programs non-Microsoft will not be started and would avoid any interruption of their share.

    See the following site:

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135.

Note: once you are done with the boot, follow step 7 article to set your computer to normal startup.

Note: If in case you are connected through a wireless connection and then when you start the System Configuration utility to perform the clean boot, click Startup and Services tab one time and check see topic wireless are turned on (Enabled).

    Method 2:

    See the site:

    Windows 7 hangs or freezes

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/2681286

Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

Also, try to get information from event viewer.

    Please visit the sites below:

    Open event viewer

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-Event-Viewer

What are the information contained in the logs of the event (Event Viewer)?

  • Mac stops when left to idle for a few seconds

Basically, the title says it all.

Whenever I leave the mac without any kind of interaction, he will either urge me to "Put my Mac to sleep" / "Shut Down", or he will die just on its own.

I checked other messages and son of on and off site, but I can't find one that fits my situation. I even tried to bring it to an Apple Store to have examined him just in case there was something wrong with the hardware or system. But it was working fine when they checked. So I thought it was OK. But right after I brought home and it works, it would still be acting weird as it has always been.

I tried resetting the PRAM and SMC, and same repair permissions, everything I could get my hands on, but unfortunately, none of those solved the problem.

All started last week when he stopped all of a sudden load and had initially showed unusual behavior. I can't even update the operating system because it wont let me not leave it alone, even for a minute, I'm getting more and more frustrated.

Someone else has the same problem as me? If Yes, how can I solve this problem? Or you could at least give me any suggestions?
