  I had problems of heating very wrong with my pc it would tend to turn off all the tkme when it overheats, I decided to blow into the fan and dust came out. He continued to work perfectly until last night where he continued to heat up, I checked on the Internet and I found I just had to clean the fan, that's why I opened my laptop this morning and cleaned the fan.   Yes I used to blow from the outside, it is very help full. I took it to get it fixed but the guy could not fix it, so he said he has tried to change the CPU and RAM, but nothing happened so I gave up. An amd box external hard drive, I bought a Hp Pavilion Dv6 of second hand, I thought my lapt lasy forever, that is that a good model does not only take care of it right. I still have faith in HP products and will soon buy a new laptop for their part again!

  so, I recently wiped my drive hard clean for a fresh start, installed windows 7 but now some of the features that use to work no longer work. For instances when I press F1 and F2 buttons my brightness will not upwards or downwards, I can't lock the touchpad more then now the cursour jumps around.   First of all, download and install the software graphics from AMD on the following link.

  When this has completed, restart the laptop.

  When windows has reloaded, download and install the HP Quick Launch software on the link below.

  Once the installation is complete, download and install the Synaptics driver on the following link.

  http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp50501-51000/sp50718.exe

  When the installation has completed, restart the laptop.

• My HP laptop cooling fan does not work.

• Pavilion g7-1368dx "cooling fan does not work correctly.

  Greetings. I have a HP Pavilion g7-1368dx laptop with Windows 7 I bought in June 2012, is no longer under warranty.

  A few weeks ago he had a thermal cut-out once during use. After cooling, the laptop works very well for a few uses, but then it has started giving the boot warning message, "the system has detected that a cooling fan is not working properly," with an additional indication of the damage if the computer is used in this State.

  I ordered a new fan and succeeded him, and I cleaned the fan grille in the process (although it wasn't very dirty), but I still get the same fan error message. I went to the HP website and saw the suggestion to do a "hard reset", so I did it, but the problem persists.

  According to the message that you have posted, I suspect that it is purely a matter of material where in your message 'System Fan(90B) - the system has detected that a cooling fan does not work properly' get. It is a mechanical failure and fan cooling of your laptop and must be replaced before the laptop starts with an overheating problem.

  Causes/reasons for this problem:

  1. sometimes, it's just because of the dust, animal pet hair slows down the fan

  Perform the illustrious below troubleshooting steps:

  Step 01. Turn off the laptop

  Step 02. Disconnect the power/AC adapter and also remove the battery too

  Step 03. Press and hold the power button of the laptop for a minute

  Step 04. Now re - insert the battery back in and plug again the power supply/adapter

  Step 05. Start Notepad and keep pressing the F10 key during startup to access the BIOS

  Step 06. Once you get the BIOS, please press F5 to load the default Installer for BIOS

  Step 07. Now press ESC/ESC. Save Changes and Exit - Yes

  Step 08. Now please wait unit loads Windows and then stop the Netbook again

  Step 09. You need to clean all vents and openings that are really good with a can of compressed air

  Note: If you still get the same error, we need to replace the fan

  I highly recommend you Contact HP technical support immediately by phone to get help immediately to get your fan replaced and serviced by an authorized HP Certified Engineer Netbook

  Simply because the temperature is not mentioned in the Toshiba Health Monitor, it doesn't mean, that the cooling fan is not working properly.

  In my opinion if the cooling fan would not properly work, internal temperature should rise very quickly at a critical level... in this case that the laptop must close automatically...

  But if the device does not turn off and if you are still able to use it properly, so I doubt that there is a problem with the cooling module.

  I put t know what fan you mean because I saw only a single fan at the bottom of the unit. However, perhaps the second fan is hidden.
  It's not easy to say why the fan doesn't work. Maybe dust clog up the fan and cooling module may not work correctly. You can try to use the vacuum cleaner to clean the fan.
  If it doesn t work so I guess there must be something wrong with the material and to fix this, replace this part. But in this case I recommend to contact the after-sales Service of Toshiba partner. He has much more experience in such cases.

  You said it's happened twice and only sometimes done this means that above all the fans are working well?
  In this case, this would mean that it of difficult to reproduce this problem, but you might be right: maybe a BIOS update would help solve this problem permanently

  I found some discussions on the stand-by mode and fan activity and in most cases, the update of the BIOS was the key.

  The fan will run at powerup self test time, and then won't turn on (or run at full speed) up to a set temperature is reached.

  Function that replaces the motherboard, check that the thermal pads have been replaced when the radiator has been removed from the system.  If this part was not replaced, the system will run very hot.

  For me, it looks like a hardware malfunction. If the fan does not work as it should then it has nothing to do with the software.
  The A110 seems to be a very new unit and I n t think that the dust and debris are responsible of these automatically shut down.

  Why you n t take your warranty? If the warranty is valid must be checked and replaced for free

  While trying to solve the problem of RAM of 4 GB ([this thread | http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=28374&tstart=0]), I meet another weird thing - gpu overheating due to fan does not work in the operating system.

  Now, I restored the XP MCE using the Toshiba Recovery and I was VERY surprised to see that the problem still exists! As soon as loading the system GPU fan stops, and there is only tranquility. The application load is heavy on GPU and reaching 104 results by reducing its GPU and MEMORY clock values and NOT in the activation of the fan.

  The same thing happens in 64-bit gentoo. ACPI can be turned on or off, it is not serious, the GPU fan always dies as soon as the system load. In non-OS environments (bios, program of recovery, etc.) the fan works fine, GPU cooling from time to time.

  This problem occurs in versions of BIOS: 2.40, 4.00, 4.20.

  Any help would be greatly appreciated, since this laptop is my main working tool and I can't let go 14 days (service).

  I saw in your other thread that you have updated the BIOS and you have installed several different OS.

  Fact is that the BIOS v 4.2 package contains BIOS 32-bit and 64-bit OS.
  Your laptop has been preloaded with Win XP MCE 32 bit. Please use the 32-bit BIOS if the original XP MCE running on the laptop.
