Computer lock down into different games

Model no. HPE-030sc

Operating system: Windows 7

I've been trying a lot of possible whats'on, but nothing works.

I have a problem when you play other type pf, the computer freezes and the screen goes to sleep.  I can only turn off the computer to solve the problem. (Civilization 5 and Pro Cycling Manager - on the smaller settings)

I've been running various tests: Memtest, PC doctor and nothing is wrong.

My best guess is that the graphics card is broken.

If anyone can help.

We could very well be a video card problem which is the cause of blocking. If the card continues to produce video output, the monitor no signal and goes to sleep.

Two things to check-

It is possible that the card is overheating. If you have installed default GT 230, check and make sure that the connection of the power running on fan on board is connected and that the fan is running.

You might also consult the homepage of the game site and see if they list recommendations or minimum requirements for their game. I do not follow the world of the game, but if they are newly released games, they may be overloading your video card.

  • My guard computer shut down unexpectedly when I play games.

My guard computer shut down unexpectedly when I play games. Now it is not always the case, just sometimes. The other day I was playing Sims 3 all day, literally, with the graphics settings maxed out and had no problem. The next day, he would crash as soon as it finished loading, even with the graphics settings at the bottom. Today, it was working fine this morning and now it crashes again. I had the same problem on and off with other games as well, Halo 2, Kings Bounty, UT 3. Here is my system:

OS - Vista Ultimate 32 bit
    Processor: Core 2 Quad Q9400 @ 2 .66GHz
    RAM - 4 x 1 GB PC6400 DDR2/800
    MB - MSI P7N SLI - FI
    HARD drive - 150 GB x 2 (Raid 0) Raptor 10 k RPM
    PSU - 1000 watts
    GPU - NVidia GeForce 9800GT 1 GB (x 2 in SLI)

And the error I get from Event Viewer:

Filter event with the query "SELECT * FROM __InstanceModificationEvent WITHIN 60 WHERE TargetInstance ISA 'Win32_Processor' AND TargetInstance.LoadPercentage > 99" could not be reactivated in namespace '//./root/CIMV2' because of error 0 x 80041003.» Events cannot be delivered through this filter until the problem is resolved.

I got the error almost everyday since I got the computer, about 10 months ago, but it only blocks the computer if I play a game. I tried the 'fix' that removes the WMI event viewer 10 error, but everything done was make sure the error is not logged. I also tried another fix I found me delete the files in the repository, but that no longer works. I also run scans of complete system of virus/malware Spybot Search & Destroy and AVG 8 and verified the updated driver for my hardware. I also ran diagnostic tool memory. Who has good/clean/current. Can it be fixed or what I have to reinstall the OS?

    Hi JerHekSr,

Thank you for using answers Forum.

The first thing that comes to mind would be to check the motherboard manufacturer for an update of the firmware/BIOS.

The error message mentions "loadpercentage > 99' which looks like you are running may at maximum load of the CPU while the game and that is the cause of the crash. You could try a clean boot to prevent the using CPU resources while you play to see if it makes a difference of strtup programs.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows Vista by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts. This article describes how to solve problems in Windows Vista by performing a clean boot. This article also describes how to start the Windows Installer service and how to reset the computer so that it starts as usual.

Note When you perform a clean boot, you may temporarily lose some functionality. When you start the computer as usual, the function returns. However, you may receive the error message, or you can experience the original behavior.

If the computer is connected to a network, network policy settings may prevent you from following these steps. We recommend strongly that you do not use System Configuration utility to change startup options on the computer, unless a support engineer Microsoft directs you to do so. This can make the computer unusable.

    a. log in the computer using an account with administrator rights.

    b. click Start collapse this image enlarge this image, type msconfig.exe in the Start Search box and press ENTER to start the System Configuration utility.

The collapse of this image to this image if you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password or click continue .

    c. under the general tab, click Selective startup , and then clear the Load Startup items check box. (The box use the Boot file is not available.)

    d. on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft services check box and then click on disable all .

Note Following this step lets services Microsoft continue to run. These services include networking, Plug-and-Play, record of events, error reporting, and other services. If you disable these services, you can permanently delete all restore points. Do not do this if you want to use to restore the system with the existing restore points.

    e. click OK , and then click restart .

Step 2: Enable half the services

    a. follow steps 1a and 1B to start the System Configuration utility.

    b. click on the Services tab and then click to select the hide all Microsoft services check box.

    c. Click to select half of the check boxes in the Service list.

    d. click OK and then click restart .

Step 3: Determine whether the problem returns

If the problem persists, repeat steps 1 and 2. In step 2, click to clear half of the check boxes that you have initially enabled in the Service list.

If the problem does not occur, repeat steps 1 and 2. In step 2, select only half of the remaining check boxes that are cleared in the Service list. Repeat these steps until you have selected all the check boxes.

If only one service is selected in the list of services , and you the problem persists, the service selected the cause of the problem. Go to step 6. If no service is causing this problem, go to step 4.

Step 4: Enable half of the startup items

    a. perform a clean boot by repeating step 1.

    b. click on the Startup tab and then click to select half of the check boxes in the startup item list.

    c. click OK , and then click restart .

Step 5: Determine whether the problem returns

If the problem persists, repeat steps 1 and 4. In step 4, click to clear half of the check boxes that you have originally selected in the startup item list.

If the problem does not occur, repeat steps 1 and 4. In step 4, select only half of the remaining check boxes that are cleared in the startup item list. Repeat these steps until you have selected all the check boxes.

If only one startup item is selected in the startup item list, and you still experience the problem, start selected in the list element is the service that is causing the problem. Go to step 6.

If no startup item causes this problem, a Microsoft service most likely the cause of the problem. To determine which Microsoft service may be causing the problem, repeat step 1 and step 2 without selecting the hide all Microsoft services check box in each step.

    Step 6: Resolve the problem

After you determine the startup item or the service that is causing the problem, contact the manufacturer of the program to determine if the problem can be solved. Or, run the System Configuration utility, and then click to clear the check box of the element of the problem.

Step 7: Reset the computer to start as usual

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

Click on start to reduce this image enlarge this image, type msconfig.exe in the Start Search box and press ENTER.

The collapse of this image to this image if you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password or click continue .

On the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK .

When you are prompted to restart the computer, click restart .

    I hope this helps. Chris

  • Omen of HP 15: Sudden computer slow down

    Hello

I have a laptop 15 Omen and here are my specs
    Intel Core i7-4710HQ CPU @ 2.50 GHz
    16 GB of Ram
    operating system 64-bit, x 64 based processor
    NIVIDIA Geforce 860 4 gig
    Windows 10

I was able to run all my games without fault, battlefront, civ 5, ck2, total war, ect. as long as I've had this laptop.  About 6 days ago my laptop started behind all of these games (and other programs, sometimes even internet) to the point where games are totally unplayable.  I restarted my computer, I've updated my computer, I reinstalled my old drivers (those specifically on driver HP site), I defragged my computer, I ran several scans of complete system (McAfee and Windows security), I disabled my antivirus, I went into the Task Manager and the background apps closed, I reset my computer to an earlier date before the problem I changed the allocation of memory, I cleaned my fans and checked the operating temperatures, all to nothing does not. My computer can not always run games at all or normal programs as well (can't even properly run the HP support support).

Overall, I'm extremely frustrated and I was wondering what you suggest that I do to solve this problem and get my computer back to normal.  I paid over $2,000 for this laptop, and I am very disappointed that I can't call anyone because I have had for over a year.  Needless to say that this very well maybe the last HP I bought the product.  This problem happened to me before.  The last time it was because HP has refused to update the system to be able to run the latest drivers from nividia.  Maybe this time it's the same thing.

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

I read your post about your recent performance problem and wanted to help - but we need more information.

According to the page of the HP product for your laptop, it came with pre-installed Win8.1, not Win10.  Then, when you did the update of Win10?

Also, from the beginning of this month, Microsoft pushed on the anniversary update (AU) and it causes a LOT of problems with people of whom Win10 machine behaved perfectly - until now.

I had this happen to my PC and it worked Win10 from the early days of the preview of the initiate in August!  I had to do a repair of any installation new installation media for this works well, once again.

Open a command window and type "winver" (without the quotes).  If you still use the November 2015 Win10 version, it will say build 10586; If you run the version of the AU, it will say 14393.

We can proceed once you provide the information.

    Thank you

Sounds lke a question of system resources.

Large, complex projects can cause problems... it can
be worth a try to create several small projects and save
each of them in the format .wmv movie to a folder on your hard drive
drive. When you import clips .wmv collection in DVD
Machine to each of them becomes a scene (chapter)... you can
    have up to 18 scenes.

Besides rendering video is time CPU and could
initially be an overheating problem that could also result in your
    computer to close.
