Computer will directly start in safe mode after installing the drivers

Hello, I have a Samsung r700 laptop and I reinstalled windows (an accident) of rescue disk-everything, ok, but when I install the multimedia disk drivers samsung they charge (after a long time) and I then asks me to re-boot, then press Finish button. I'm doing this and portable said shutting down and then it seems to try to start. Then I have a grey, but even after 12 hours, screen nothing happens. I then turned off and can only start up in safe mode.

Any ideas how I can fix it.

do this work in Mode safe mode with networking:

    Run the sfc/scannow command.

A suggestion: as stated above, I thought I was wrong this posted in the Windows 7 Forum.  In fact, the link under XP for updates takes you to the Forum Windows 7 > Windows Update.  It seems that it would be less confusing, if questions update go to a forum, out of Windows 7 and Windows Update as a stand-alone speaker.

Thank you for all your help,

You must install SP3 before you install your antivirus program. This can be done safely by downloading the file in advance and install while physically disconnected from the Internet. In addition, you should keep IE at the level before installing SP3 IE6.

  • HP dv6-6b51nr, will not start in safe mode. pls help

    Thanks for any help.

I am trying to start my laptop in safe mode by pressing f8 at startup. but I got only a black screen then the laptop starts beeping, which will not stop until I force shut down the laptop.

    Seems something wrong. Help, please.

    Thank you.

If you are still able to start a normal Windows there is a work around.

In Windows, search programs and files box, type "msconfig".

Select the Startup tab and choose start as in the image below. Now, restart the laptop and you should start in Windows safe mode.

Don't forget to go back into msconfig later you will start up in the normal Windows installation again. If you forget to do this, it will always start in safe mode.

You do not specify what operating system is installed in your laptop. The procedure is valid for Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7.

My daughter had XP IE8 running on his computer, site update Windows XP SP3 download.  I downloaded and installed, however it won't start in safe mode. When I remove SP3, the computer loads normally.  I then uninstalled IE8 (went back to IE6), made sure I had the pre-requistes, followed the steps as outline on the microsoft site, downloaded SP3 again and installed.  It will only re-start in safe mode.  I tried everything, no matter what I do, XP SP3 causes the computer to restart in safe mode only. What is the origin of XP SP3 only start in SafeMode anfter installation? What can I do to fix this?

  • XP will only start in safe mode and System Restore does not resolve the problem

Don't know not if this is related to the same reported people of BSOD problems after recent updates, but from Tuesday my computer does not start in normal mode.  I can get it to boot in safe mode, however I tried to restore to several different restore points and nothing seems to solve the problem.  Any suggestions?

    Hello

Many people face this problem after the latest version of windows update on the XP machine. I would like to know where are the updates that have been installed on your computer Tuesday. You can view them from the Windows update history by examining it from the Windows update site.

In case, if the KB977165 has been installed then, take a look at this thread and check if this helps you boot normally to the desktop.
    http://social.answers.Microsoft.com/forums/en-us/vistawu/thread/73cea559-ebbd-4274-96bc-e292b69f2fd1

If the update history shows the other updates in the history list, please let us know the xxxxxx KB (number) updates, so that we can try to help you the best.

We hope to hear from soon.

    Kind regards

  • Windows XP Professional starts in safe mode after the service pack 2 update

I have an older version of Windows XP version 1.0 on a computer in November 2001 of the gateway that I have updated all offers updates of material such as BIOS and motherboard.  Then to the service pack 2 update so I can load an antivirus software which does not load unless you have SP2 or later version.  It loads like a champ and restarts, but Windows does not start normally, I have to start in safe mode and remove SP2.  Is there a driver error that I need to find?  Or is there an other update I need before SP2 for such an old version of windows? (He also did the same thing with SP3).  Help!  I tried to reload Windows with the repair feature, but was lost when he gave me a prompt C:\.

  • Random BSOD after installing the drivers of port replicator.

Hi, my boss has just got a new laptop (TP T400s running Windows 7) and after setting up the it, it worked great. But then I installed the drivers for the port replicator with digital video and after the reboot, just after the login screen, USB ports it BSOD, complain igdkmd64.sys. Restarted again, he has not crushed during his connection this time, just a little while later, when clicking on the start menu. After several tests, the Replicator seemed to work, but not the digital video port. The DVI connector did not work correctly, just the mouse pointer has been posted. Try setting the resolution did nothing and switching output source through Win - P causes a strange flicker for a minute or two and then the machine automatically rebooted. Tried the driver found on the CD (1.0) and also those that are available via the Lenovo Web site of (1.5.6.8), always the same thing. Now, I uninstalled the drivers and the random BSOD keep reappearing.

This problem is common? The duplicator is defective or is it the ThinkPad? The windows installation is screwed, peut it be repaired? What is the Lenovo return policy?

I saw many complaints on this forum about random stop, it would be unacceptable to us that the current BSOD we meet a few. This is common?

P.S.: We try to get the job done, not beta-test of Lenovo products!

    Thank you

The driver win7 for Replicator usb with digital output is not released yet. So, you can not get it work under win7. I remember seeing an official brochure of the product, in which there is a line indicating that a win7 driver will be released in December.

  • PC Windows 7 does not start in safe mode after current updates

I have a HP pavilion dv8t-I7-windows edition laptop home premium.  After a few updates auto windows, my pc would no longer start - got 'configure the custom for windows update desktop setting.    I got the pc in safe mode and did a restore and pc worked fine.  However windows last night did automatic updates again, and this morning same problem was back.  However, this system time freezes everything trying to load all the drivers for safe mode - then now I can't do a restore.  I noticed when I saw that windows wanted to restart for the new updates that half of the updates were for windows 10 House - I don't even have 10 windows on my laptop.  Very frustrating that these 10 updates windows could be the cause of my pc becomes unusable.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hello

My apologies for the late reply.

I suggest you to fix your PC using a windows 7 installation media.

    1. Boot from the Windows 7 disc.
    2. Once you select your language, time settings and keyboard, click Next to load the next window, and then click repair your computer on the lower left corner of the window.
    3. You should then be presented with a screen to choose an Option , with Troubleshooting as an option to select.
    4. In Troubleshooting screen, select Advanced options.
    5. Select startup repair in the Advanced options screen, and then select the operating system to repair, target, which would be Windows 7 in this case.

    Kind regards

  • "Windows Vista Security Center" close browser windows, precise I have a virus, and now no programs will be opened. Windows does not start in safe mode, and all the system restore points have already disappeared.

    Hello

I have a Dell laptop under Windows Vista Premium. I got it for about three years, and he is upset enough ok tonight. In the middle of browsing the internet, check my email, etc., all but one of my browser windows close at random, and a message appears "windows vista Security Center" whenever I try to open a new window, blocking of the site and to say that the site is dangerous and my system has been infiltrated by a Trojan horse. Then he starts the scan and says that I must buy the full to get everything to work again. I closed everything, since I already have McAfee antivirus and internet security, but it does not, and neither did any other progams. I tried restarting in safe mode to restore a backup point, but Windows does not open in safe mode, rather stick for half an hour in the middle of loading. When I managed to start windows in normal mode, I found that all my past restore points had been erased.

This happened to someone else, and it is fixable without wiping everything?

    Thanks in advance,
    Emma

    Hi Emma,

This could be due to a virus on your computer.  Try to make a virus on your computer scan to check if your computer is infected.
