  I create a portfolio of oracle and everything works fine until a script is launched by the OS oracle user. (same user that whoever created the store)

  I use authentication external store and inside my script, I do something like a sqlplus / @MYSECURE_TNS.

  However, when I run a script OS another user as a 'data_loading_user' I get the error: Oracle Database Vault ORA-12578 connection error: TNS:wallet open failed

  I would like to know, how I can activate any user on the local host access the portfolio safe to connect to the database.

  I added the data_loading_user of the user to the group administrator (Group of BONES that created the wallet).

  The I added the read permission to the group, so the permission on the files below were 640:

  I have some difficulties to the addition of the database of the event view 4.5. It's a SQL Express 2005 on the vCenter server. It is configured to listen on port 1433 static.   The OP said he found mistakes in a newspaper on the login server who helped solve the problem. Can you watch on your login server in C:\programdata\VMware\VDM\logs and see if any of the newspaper and gives no indication of more on what he doesn't like on the configuration?

  I want to install Oracle DB Arch on top of this database.
  
  A few questions:
  
  (1) can I install the vault DB 10.2.0.4 on this database? Is it supported?
  
  (2) is there a DB vault for 11 g? I searched but not able to find it. Can it be installed on 11.1.0.6?
  
  I'd rather go with option 1 if taken in charge.

  I installed and configured Vault database on an Oracle 11 g - r2 - 11.2.0.3 to protect a specific schema (SCHEMA_NAME) via a Kingdom. I followed the following doc:

  to ensure that the system and the network user has sufficient rights to complete a schedule pump data Oracle export operation.
  
  I.e. I gave sys and system the following:

  I'm trying to use VAULT to protect sensitive data against any DBA in the society. I thought so far are:

  1. Create a KINGDOM with compulsory option (so neither the owner of the schema could access the data) for these table that none, except KINGDOM authorized users can access.
  2. Create views on this sensitive data, with the exception of the columns that contain sensitive data.

  So far so good.

  The problem is when I add the table I want to protect in the KINGDOM. The view of Oracle that I created to exclude the sensitive columns seems to be 'blocked'.

  Add the VIEW to the KINGDOM too and add users who have the right to access the view. Even if I receive the message of insufficient privileges. I've added users with the DBA role or SELECT directly to the DISPLAY in the Kingdom an auth.

  In the end, it's all type of field.

  If it is required and you want to access the VIEW, Oracle needs you to add your owner of the schema in the KINGDOM, allowing access to all data.

• Configuration/ACS database consolidation

  I have two ACS servers.

  One is the 2.4 version and the other is the 3.0.2 version.

  My wish is to install a third ACS 4.0 server which will replace the other two.

  I had planned the following steps:

  1 - upgrade versions 2.4 (srv1) and 3.0.2 (srv2) for 3.0.4.

  2 - export using tool CSUtil configuration of these two servers data;

  3. manually consolidate all data;

  4. install the new server with the version 3.0.4.

  5 - import using CSUtil data consolidated on the new server.

  6 - update the new server after version 4.0 recommended upgrade path.

  All comments on these steps?

  Y at - it no special mechanism/tool to consolidate the configuration from two separate servers for GBA?

  We cannot export devices with csutil. What we can do is to search for devices on GUI and download a CSV of the search result.

  DBSync does not database between ACS servers synchronize. DBSync uses a csv file to add devices/users in bulk. So if we create a CSV of users and devices we can import in ACS. More info about dbsync to: -.

• Failed to retrieve the configuration of database file when installing EBS on 2 nodes

  I try to install EBS 12.1.1 on two different nodes on Redhat Linux 5. After properly installing the database on node1 (ebsdb), I started rapidwiz on node2 (ebsapps) to install the application technology. When I get to the screen where it asks "Do you want to create a new configuration or load a saved?", I chose to load a saved configuration, typied in the database connection information (ebsdb.sparkdb.com:PROD:1521) and get the following error. Anyone know what I am doing wrong? I am able to ssh to ebsdb to ebsapps and vice versa, and the database and listener is in place.
