Configuration of database event view 4.5

I have some difficulties to the addition of the database of the event view 4.5. It's a SQL Express 2005 on the vCenter server. It is configured to listen on port 1433 static. I use SQL authentication and a SQL account. I've attached screenshots with the settings. I keep getting 'an error occurred' trying to configure the database that someone here knows what I'm doing wrong? I think maybe the name of the database must be in a different format, but I have tried different things without success.

TIA,

-Poort.

The OP said he found mistakes in a newspaper on the login server who helped solve the problem. Can you watch on your login server in C:\programdata\VMware\VDM\logs and see if any of the newspaper and gives no indication of more on what he doesn't like on the configuration?

    Hello Steven,

Did you ever receive notifications that a virus or malware has been removed from your system recently?
My only thought is that it is the remains of an infection on your machine.
It is most likely harmless, but I don't understand why you'd be concerned.

    Hi KenKenJr,

    1. are you faced with questions only when you open Microsoft Office programs?

This error can occur because of a corrupted Microsoft Visual c++ installation.

    Step 1:

If this error occurs only when you try to open the Office programs, you can check the following link and check if that helps:

    http://blogs.technet.com/b/AppV/archive/2010/06/10/solution-possible-side-by-side-error-when-sequencing-Office-2010-on-Windows-Vista.aspx

    Step 2:

To resolve this problem, you can also install the latest version of visual C++ according to the version of Windows installed on your computer (32-bit or 64-bit) and check:

Download and install Microsoft visual C++ from the below mentioned link:

  • HCPP Event Viewer

I get this error message when I open the event viewer on CSPM. It happened when I updated the last signature on JOINT to S33 Version 3.0 (5).

    "New DbEventCallback, eventStreamConsumer--> reading failed.

"newDbEventCallback, error caught in the catch block.

I used the cvtnrlog.exe command to clear all entries in the database in the hope that this will help, but the problem seems not to get out. No matter who or what this error message and have the solution for this? Any help would be much appreciate.

It looks like your database might have gotten corrupted.

Open CSPM and go to file - export and save your current configuration to a file somewhere outside the CSPM .cpm

directory structure. Close the CSPM. Now go to start - programs - Cisco Systems - CSPM - Troubleshooting Toolkit.

the strategy of Restore Database press the button tab restore and wait the 4 boxes themselves. Open now

CSPM again and he will come to the top with an empty database. Go to file - import and import the .cpm file that you just exported in. Delete the new user 'Imported' from the menu at the bottom on the left side and make a backup/update and see how it goes.

  • Error code (51) of attachment in Event Viewer

I keep getting error messages (code 51) and information in my event viewer, along w / other types (it's for a later date), which, in the description

So in the right Manager device - I clicked the usb hub of this hard disk, clicked on management of the power supply and checked the box that says let the computer put the player in standby to save power. It does not solve the problem. from what I can gather is that nobody knows what the "D". I have an internal hard drive that was original crane operators and added the Seagate FreeAgent Desktop drive that is configured without any partition, then formatted as NTFS system volume. Maybe that's the problem? It is an old system w / a few updates in the RAM memory and sound card, 2 GB (RAM), processor Intel Pentium clocked at 2.66 GHz, all wrapped together and became the HP Pavilion 764n. • IDEPort0 ATAPI errors in Event Viewer.

    Original title: hard drive problem

I started to receive some "IDEPort0 atapi errors" in my event viewer and I checked the IDE cable for the hard drive and I unplugged and tried the slave on the cable connector and ever since then I kept getting 'the hard disc has a bad block' errors as almost non-stop and there before, but only a few times, so I think that the hard drive is toast. I tried another hard drive from another computer that I know works for sure and it gives me the BSOD, then the computer restarts and so on. I tried 3 different IDE cables and is the same thing so at this point the only thing I can think is the IDE controller on the motherboard has gone wrong or he would have nothing to do with a hard EIDE and the other just IDE? What else could be causing the BSOD? Thanks in advance!

The hard drive has been giving me a blue screen and when I put it in the other computer, it works very well so I thought to keep it in the computer he was blue screening and re-installed windows with it in this computer and it worked, so I guess that windows had to be re-installed with the hard drive of this computer. I guess it has to do with the different and everything is driver files configured differently on that hard drive and put it in another computer caused the blue screen, but fortunately it wasn't the controller. Everything works fine now. Thanks for the reply!

  • Get the error in the event viewer that refers to Repultemtn. How to remove it?

    Original title: Repultemtn

Every day I receive at least one error in Event Viewer-system that refers to Repultemtn:

The Repultemtn service failed to start due to the following error:
The system cannot find the specified file.
The only trace I can find is the reference to a former pilot of Repultemtn in the registry. When I search online, I don't find any reference to this driver. Someone met by this old driver before?

I have a last question. The reference to Repultemtn has now disappeared from current control set in the registry, but it is still listed in ControlSet004 and cannot be deleted. Should I be worried?

Look at the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Select to see what the setting is, if it's a set of failed control, you can skip the whole game, if it's the LastKnownGood game it will be gone once you restart the computer.

When you start Windows the bootstrapper checks the key HKLM\SYSTEM\Select to see which setting it should load, if 004 is a set of failed control will never be loaded again, if it's the LastKnownGood control set it will be charged only if you use the F8 advanced boot menu and select this option to start the computer to the last good known Configuration.

After that you start the computer and successfully log on the LKGC is copied over from the set of controls that has been used to start the computer, these entries have been removed from the default (CurrentControlSet) If you restart the computer normally with the control set by default the LastKnownGood (which is a copy of the set of control kick successfully) can no longer contain the entries.  The LastKnownGood game should NEVER be modified manually... otherwise he will not be the same game as the one that was last with success started, that's why in most circumstances you must only change the current setting.  See here for more information about the boot process and control sets and the Select button:

    • Errors
    • 1-20 errors, valued at twenty.

What are these errors and they are nothing to worry about?

I have Nero 8 on this system and have an updated hosts file the running here: http://winhelp2002.mvps.org/hosts.htm

Not sure, but I may have changed a network setting to activate the new hosts file work properly.

Seen these errors for a while. system works well and smoothly.  No symptoms of malware or infection seen or found.  I would call these software errors as they seem does not affect the operation of the system.

    XP Home Edition SP3 P4 2.8 2 GB RAM

    Joe

    Oh yes :)

I have never used the program VEW and don't think I will check it - I just look at the Event Viewer logs the old-fashioned way (manually) if I think that there is a problem, but that might just be the old me.

It is true that XP Home doesn't have Group Policy Editor, but all policy settings are always available via the registry.

Some malware will change your GP settings and cause problems.

I have a little import registry will correct all the ones I know, so if someone has these symptoms, any flavor of XP, they are running, I'll just send the script because sometimes you will be not able to solve the problem, even if you have not the GP Editor.

The registry always import work - and work well for XP Home or XP Pro.  If you have the symptoms and XP Home, what would you?   Start the import operation of the registry.

If you're curious, off on my SkyDrive it is a spreadsheet Excel (Group Policy settings) who has all the parameters of GP and where they are in the registry.  I do not recommend start searching, but it is useful to know where things are if there is a problem.

I would not allow the connection of a security XP stuff unless you think you're being attacked.  More and verbose logging slows things down.  My Event Viewer Security log is empty.

Find the links to the Microsoft Support Engineer for the most part useless to actually solve a problem (because it help you with your problem), if someone has a question or point of Event Viewer, I usually just send them this:

To view the logs in Event Viewer, click Start, settings, Control Panel, administrative tools, event viewer.

A shortcut to the event viewer is to click on start, run and enter in the box:

    %SystemRoot%\system32\eventvwr.msc

Click OK to launch the event viewer.

The most interesting newspapers are usually the system and Application logs.

Some newspapers such as security and Internet Explorer may be completely empty or have just a few items.  The default settings for XP wants do not connect all this activity, unless you need to solve a problem in these areas.  If you enable logging for them the papers fill up quickly and could adversely affect the performance of your system with all the extras (often unnecessary) activity.

If you have Microsoft Office installed, it has its own newspapers, and they can be empty or occasional boring activity very little or, if there is no problem with your desktop applications.  It's normal.

Not every event is a problem, some are informational messages that things work very well, and some are warnings.

However, no event should defy reasonable explanation.

Each event is sorted by Date and time.  Errors will be red Xs, warnings will have yellow! s.
Informational messages have white is.  Not every error or warning event means that there is a serious question.

Some are excusable at boot time when Windows starts.  Try to find only the events to the date and time around your problem.

If you double-click on an event, it will open a window of properties with more information.  On the right are black up and down arrow keys to scroll through the open events. The third button that looks like two overlapping pages is used to copy the details of the event in your Windows Clipboard.

When you find an interesting event that occurred at the time of your question, click on the third button at the top and arrows to copy the details and then you can paste the details (right click, paste or CTRL-V) the text in detail here for analysis.  Remove all personal information from your information after you paste If you are forced to do so.

If you paste an event, it will look something like this annoying system startup event:

    Event type: Information
    Event source: Service Control Manager
    Event category: no
    Event ID: 7035
    Date: 14/07/2010
    Time: 17:54:18
    User: Jose
    Computer: computer

    Description:
The Remote Access Connection Manager service was sent successfully a starting control.

To get a fresh start on any log of the event viewer, you can choose to clear the log (the log backup is available), and then reproduce your problem, then just look at the events around your show and troubleshoot events that are happening when you have your question.

You can search for events on the World Wide Web and get ideas.  It's where people events they see and then to the top of their questions, ideas and solutions:

    http://www.EventID.NET/

If you find your event in the discussion, the first idea or discussion does not necessarily mean it is the "answer" to your situation, so read through all the ideas to find the one that sounds more like your situation.

  • I built a new system. Transferred to the hard drive and video card, but everything else is new. Restart Windows as it begins to start. I can get into safe mode and found event id 7026 and event id 7001 in the event viewer.

As mentioned above, this is a new system, but with a more older IDE hard drive with windows xp pack 2 service (I think). When I choose to start windows normally, it will load up to a point. The screen of Windows Xp will come with the slide bar. It will then restart. When I choose to start in safe mode, a bunch of 32 file system scrolls upwards on the screen. I don't remember if it of normal or not. He takes over in SafeMode but. I went to the event viewer and got the following errors.

I did find something online that contains all the system boot or start specific drivers. Windows and harddrive was working in another computer just before he was switched. Let me know if you need other information.

    Thank you.

First of all you are missing probably a number of device drivers, particularly the network card driver and the driver of the motherboard.  Use your XP disk to perform a repair installation.  This should go a long way toward you're going to get.  If your new box has a driver disc that should help a lot.  You can't port XP perfectly the way you did.   It usually requires a repair installation to fix the hardware abstraction layer. • Viewed surveillance applications in Event Viewer.

    Hello

I need the ability to control the applications that have been consulted/open/run on a computer. I have checked the event viewer, but can't find anything that can make this clear for me. Can you please advise on it or just point me in the right direction.

    Concerning

You can use auditing on Windows XP to check the user access. But you must have activated before being able to check on the access of the audit.
Click on the following article for assistance in the verification of the configuration.

    I hope this helps.

  • Impossible to start and open the event viewer.

I have Windows Vista (SP1) currently and am having some problems with the event viewer.

Whenever I try to run the observer of events, either through the program or the elevated command prompt, MMC pushes me to get approval to open.

Once opened, an error message appears indicating "MMC cannot initialize the snap-in" with the only option to hit being 'Okay '.
I love the event viewer in order to keep track of my system and wonder if there is any means possible to get this corrected and resolved.
    Any help is appreciated!

    Hello

You did changes to the computer before the show?

Check if the problem persists with the different user account.

I suggest you to proceed to the next method.

Method 1: Run System File Checker (SFC) scan on your computer to fix this.

SFC analyzes and verifies the versions of all protected system files after you restart your computer.

Check the link for more information to do the same below:

How to use the System File Checker tool to fix the system files missing or corrupted on Windows Vista or Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833

    Restart the computer and check.

Method 2: If the problem persists, I suggest you to open in safe mode with networkevent viewer.

See the link below to start your computer in safe mode

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

Method 3: If the problem resolves itself into safe mode with network, perform the clean boot. Clean boot helps eliminate any driver or software conflicts. This is because as the usual startup programs as well as non-Microsoft services are not started in a clean boot configuration.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

After you perform a clean boot, restart your computer and check.

Note: After you perform a clean boot, perform step 7: reset the computer to start as usual of the above article.

    Thanks in advance.

    Dear Isha,

Thanks for your follow-up. After spending considerable time on the issue, I stopped just by using the function of collective housing, which heals many error codes. It is redundant to a standard network configuration and is not worthwhile. Since Windows 10 deletes the function of group living, I'm not sure that I need to spend time on this...

I have also had also removed the bad machine key and senior partners of information in the directory of network of peers, which seems to have solved the problem.

    Thanks for your thoughts.
