  Installation on my laptop via VMware.  Following procedures by J. Turrell. Everything is fine until I'm planning configuration.  When I try to configure the SS database, I get the following message: "EMPCFG-10368: unable to connect to the database."  Check the database connection information'.

  Couple quick questions to start:

  Version of Hyperion Planning? What OS are you installing on? The box can speak for itself (Microsoft Loopback adapter, input tables ip if some flavors of Linux). Is there a firewall in the way? Is the database that is top and listen?

  Since it's SQL Server - you have enabled TCP/IP?

  Some other positions:

  E.M.P. 11.1.2.2 Config Error - EPMCFG-10368: unable to connect to the database.

  I try to use the configuration plans in SOA 11 g migrate composites of my DEV to STG environment. I have scripts ant that would help me promote the composite dev to STG, but I'm stuck with the help of configuration plans.
  Can someone help me to explain what we do to plan the configuration that we create in JDev. I know that some parts of the file should be changed so that the new environment endpoints would not be replaced in .bpel, .wsdl and other required files, but I don't know what sections of the plan file configuratin should be edited and what is its importance.
  
  If anyone can share a file of configuration example also plan it would be great.

  What is the plan of the config is replaces the sections of your composite.xml deployment and wsdl to match the different configurations of SOA Suite facilities on different environments in time.
  If you need to say which parts of the file you want to replace by what strings.
  usually, the hostname: port of the end point is different and therefore the hostname: port wsdl location.

  The problem is resolved.

  Perform step 11 first and then step 10, which would solve the problem.

  I'm deployment Hyperion Planning 9.3.1. I read in many places that I need to configure a separate database for each component rather than use a single. Nobody knows the ideal of data distribution if I install the following components:
  
  -Hyperion Shared Services
  -Essbase Server
  -Essbase Administration services
  -Essbase service provider
  -Oracle Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management architect
  -Planning
  -Hyperion reports & analysis
  
  Can I configure EPMA and planning on separate databases as well? As for the configuration of data source?

  Hello

  Best practices during the installation would be to create the DB sql distinct for each of your products as follows (you don't have to follow the naming conventions)

  -SSP Hyperion 9 (hypHSS)
  -Essbase Server (without SQL repository Req'd)
  -Essbase Services Administration (hypEAS)
  -Essbase provider Services (without SQL repository Req'd)
  -Oracle Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management architect (hypEPMA)
  -Planning (hypPlanSys)
  -Hyperion Reporting & analysis (hyper)

  Remember, if you are creating applications to planning you will also need to create a db SQL distinct for the application, as well as planning SQL db.

  DataSource configurations can then raise the relevant DB.

• Communication of the IOM - SOA

  Hi all

  I try to configure the IOM and SOA with front-end OSH; After that the installation of the client of the IOM has changed the front-end server URL and the Port, so I need actulize all the parameters with the new FULL domain name.

  Now I can properly access the IOM and the SOA through the web layer, but when I try to view the "Inbox" page within IOM (like xelsysadm) I get this error message:

  Error display list of tasks. Possible reasons could be: 1. connection information for the server SOA are not available. 2 if it is running in Federated mode, the default server is maybe out of service.

  I tried to run in dashboard diagnostic checking Configuration of SOA - IOM, and after resolving all SSL issues now works correctly.

  IOM logs reports this error:

• Photoshop 2015.5 can not export the work plan in PNG transparent

  should I upgrade Photoshop to the latest version (2015.5) and now I can not export in PNG transparent work plans and that sucks A * big time
  Anywho whenever I export in PNG or PNG8 with transparrensy, it receives a white background and space color Medallion to the index as if it was a GIF.

  All the solutions or anyone who has a script that will make the transparent PNG out of work plans?

  Are you sure that you correctly configure the work plan? The 2015.5 version to now set the background color of the artboard that is different from before

  

• Hyperion Planning 11.1.2.3 Installation in a distributed environment

  Can I ask questions repeated, but I just want to clarify on the underside of the points I intend to install the Hyperion Planning in a distributed environment. Users will be less than 100. Server 1: Installation and configuration of Foundation all components, calculation Manager, EPMA and Reporting and analysis (financial information) and FDMEE components. Server 2: Installation and configuration of Hyperion Planning, Hyperion Essbase components only in second server or I need to install and configure any other coponents while second server I will point to the first server Foundation. Is that it works well? Here also to be confirmed in the future if I need installation for HFM then I'll install the HFM components in server 3 pointing to the first server in the Foundation. Here I will install and configure only the components of HFM. Is that it works well? I install EMP 11.1.2.3 version and the Windows 2008 R2 operating system. Please notify. .

  In Server1, install foundation, reports, Manager of calc, epma, fdmee and configure them and also to install web applications of the remaining components. I mean the web application EAS, Planning web application.etc. which you want to install on server2. Then go to server2 install Essbase, schedule, and configure them.

  Note: Start weblogic Server on Server1, before you deploy the components of Server2.

  In the future if you want to install HFM, yes you can. There is no problem with reclassification which.

  I'm trying to find a way to use a single action that can be applied to several work plans.

  How you configure your work plans and guides. I just tried a test action that created two work plans using the work plan tool, then I did drag the guides. The guides are per document, and not unique to each work plan, but the action ran fine.

• EMP Configurator - drop/recreate Tables Question

  All,

  The question regarding the EMP Configurator.

  All products are deployed on the same schema (assumes that the SS, WORKSHOP, planning, HFM), and I would like to re - set up the schedule.

  If I choose only the option "configure database" for planning only and then choose "delete and re-create the tables", which only decreases the HSP, or all tables in the schema? My gut tells me it will only drop the HSP paintings, but my past experiences told me that there is a high probability it will drop the entire schema.

  Appreciate any idea

  It should only remove system planning objects, if you are worried then make sure you have a backup or point to another schema.

• want to decode PGP encrypted with oracle soa 11.1.1.6.0 b2b edi files

  I'm working on a scenario where the business parter (TP) published the edi on our FTP server. These edi files are encrypted using the PGP software (we must provide our public key for this).
  I've never worked with encryption\ before decryption, but I understand the theory of Cryptography.
  
  
  Question 1: We can install PGP on 11 g soa server and configure the b2b to decode this file using our private key.
  
  Question 2: If the 11g SOA server doesn't support PGP, and then will install PGP at the level of the FTP server and use java to decode the file (using the private key) to a new location and B2B can choose the file decoding from here.
  
  Here are two strategies I have planed, please guide me which is feasible\best and if you know the steps to implement it please share with me.

  Two options are possible, but the #1 option (decrypt PGP to B2B/SOA), you must write a caption of java. B2B/SOA 11g does not support PGP out-of-box, but it can be achieved using the legend of java. I would have preferred the option n ° 2, personally as in this case, PGP decryption will be out of SOA/B2B and therefore it will be hot pluggable (can be removed in the future, if necessary, without changing the configuration of SOA/B2B).

  I have correctly installed and configured Hyperion Planning 11.1.2.
  I open the workspace by using the following URL [* http://localhost:19000 / workspace *].
  Then I go to [* Navigator-> administrator-> classical-> planning planning Assistant *]
  
  After you have selected the Option of planning , classical planning Assistant not loaded instead, I am getting Page load error.
  
  Kindly guide me how to overcome this problem.

  I would like to install Hyperion EPM 11.1.2. The requirement is to install Planning & Essbase in a machine and HFM, FDQM on another machine. Can you suggest pls what machine I install shared services and which one I have to opt for the analysis and Reporting. Can I install and configure shared services, planning/Essbase, Reporting and analysis first server and only HFM, FDQM in the second server? With that, I have to use the workspace, EN, WA in the first server for HFM as well. Can I do this? Pls advice

  On server 1 make sure you have the client HFM and ADM driver installed. You will need to run the HFM client on server 1 and register the server HFM.
