Managing local users and Radiusproblem

I created a wlan for clients and want to authenticate only guestusers on database of local users of Net on the WLC.

My problem is that it is also possible to open a session with usercredentials for radiusauthentication.

I have not activated any AAAservers for the guestwlan.

Tips how to stop the radiusauthentication for this wlan key?

JF

You can also uncheck the network user in a Configuration of RADIUS. This check box allows the WLC use the AAA server in the world for any WLAN network. Just need to make sure that under your secure WLAN, you list the AAA server explicitly, which is a best practice.

    How can I find which library is not registered, so I can register?

    BTW, this is one of several very similar problems that began to arrive after the last update of Microsoft Windows Vista.

    Hello GCCarvill,

    Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft answers Forum.

    If you have a system restore point, before applying the updates would be the fastest way to restore the library file
    who is missing. Use the following article to restore to an earlier point in time. Don't forget to create a manual restore point before using an earlier version of the operating system.

    Right-click on the computer icon in the desktop, then choose Properties
    In the left pane, click System Protection
    Alternatively, to directly access the System Protection tab, click Start and type SystemPropertiesProtection.exe.
    If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
    Click the System Protection tab and then click on create.
    In the System Protection dialog box, type a description, and then click on create.

    After the search for the other forums, I found another user having a similar problem. They used a tool called FileMon and after comparison, they discovered a file called activeds.tlb was missing. They have restored a copy in the system32 directory and

    I am trying to create local groups, but when I go into computer Managemmt as an admin there no option groups in the tree.  Aide said it is in "computer Management\System Tools\Local and Groups\Groups users", but the only options I have under system tools are planner of the event viewer, shared folders, Performance and device - not local users and groups management tasks.  No idea how I can get access to this?

  • Win 7 Pro - all users in local users and groups

    Hello I have a new install of Windows 7 Pro with two users; Administrator (built in) and my personal user (CCzahor). I can connect to windows very well with both users.  When I right click my computer and manage them, there is no user appearing in "users and groups / users.  However, if I go to groups, double-click 'Administrators', I see Director listed, and I see CCzahor under "users".  In addition, when I run lusrmgr.msc, I see the same thing as described above, but when I run netplwiz.msc, I see the admin and CCzahor displayed in the list.

    It is not functionally a problem, but rather a nuisance than anything else.  Any ideas?

  • Ask local users and creates local users

    I am trying to automate the creation of a Local user in ESXi using the Perl SDK.

    I know how to extract a list of users with permissions to the host.

    My $userAccounts = $authorizationMgr-> RetrieveAllPermissions;
    for my {$user (@$userAccounts)}
    If ($user-> eq main $add_user) {}
    # The user exist
    If ($user-> roleId = $add_roleId) {}

    Exit 0
    } else {}
    Print STDERR "user exists but with wrong roleId.\n";
    Print STDERR "request for role = (". ")" $add_role. (''), got (";"
    {for(@$roleList)}
    If ($user-> roleId eq $_-> roleId) {}
    Print STDERR $_-> name. ») \n » ;
    }
    }

    Exit 1;

    }
    }
    }

    But it is possible for an account to be included in the local users and groups, but not have any assigned permissions.

    Does anyone know how query if the local account exist? In vSphere Client when connected directly to a host of local users and groups tab displays this info, I am lookling access in Perl.

    To list the users, you must use the managed object userDirectory rather http://pubs.vmware.com/vsphere-51/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.vmware.wssdk.apiref.doc%2Fvim.UserDirectory.html and use RetrieveUserGroups

    Joint a quick example is called listUsers.pl

    VI-admin@vMA51:~ >./listUsers.pl--vesxi51-1--username root of the server
    Enter the password:
    Name: administrator
    Group: 0
    Main: root

    Name: DCUI user
    Group: 0
    Main: dcui

    Name: Account administration VMware VirtualCenter
    Group: 0
    Main: vpxuser

    Name: ESXi user
    Group: 0
    Main: vslauser

    Name: william
    Group: 0
    Principal: william

    For your CreateUser() method, you do not pass in the type of such expect property indicated in the reference on the http://pubs.vmware.com/vsphere-51/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.vmware.wssdk.apiref.doc%2Fvim.host.LocalAccountManager.AccountSpecification.html API, which is a HostAccountSpec of vSphere

    It should be:

    My $userSpec = HostAccountSpec-> new (id-online 'Inventory2', password-online "aBc! 56hh", description =>"Inventory2");

    $accountManager-> CreateUser (user-online $userSpec);

    The QAnywhere vSphere is your friend

  • Why isn't the local users and groups in Windows 7 Home Premium active?

    Unfortunately, the page of "Compare editions" for Windows 7 does not show that it is disabled for Windows 7 Home Premium.  So, I think that Microsoft is engaged in false advertising by activating only not this snap-in Control Panel.

    Bottom line is: I need to access the Panel to ensure that I am in the Visual Studio debugger users group.  So, I can't debug anything.  The software does not work properly.

    Microsoft should immediately activate this feature.

  • The local users and 'Add Member to group' groups function displays the password in clear text

    Hello

    I saw something strange that happens when you add the connected locally to the domain user to a local security group via lusrmgr.msc. This seems to be repeated in our Organization, and I was wondering if it's something to do with our generation, or if it is more widespread? After you have selected the locally connected user (domain) to be added to a local security group, but before confirming with OK / apply, the user name appears in the ACL in the format:

    Domain\username (password@fulldomain)

    The password appears when the user name should be, which is probably just a minor bug where an incorrect value is selected on the screen, but the fact that it is displayed in plain text rather than a hash of password is a little more disconcerting. There seems to be some caveats: it affects only the users in the domain (local users are displayed differently); It is not affected by the local administrator rights (although /are/ to add the user to the local administrator rights); It doesn't affect that the user logged on locally (I can't reproduce as a runas user).

    The steps to reproduce this are:
    (1) start | Run | lusrmgr.msc
    (2) go to the groups. [Any group] | Right-click | Add to group
    3) click on add
    (4) enter the username of the user locally. Ok

    Anyone else see this behavior?

    See you soon,.

    Hi Rashmi,

    Can you check the VCS where the Ex60 registered. Historical calls can go under status.

    check the call, and there can provide you with the search for the call history. then, we can get at least an idea to go further.

  • LDAP managed to users and groups

    I hope it's an easy question.  I need clarification on how connected ldap groups and users work to vCloud Director.

    If I import a LDAP group in an organization, this group has no users when I look at its properties.

    If I import a LDAP user in the same organization, which is located in the group I just added, then this user appears in the list of users in the group properties.

    I have to manually add each user in this group?  If so, why bother with groups?

    Additional information:

    I use Active Directory.

    The group contains users in Active Directory.

    The group is a Domain Local security group.

    When you import a group, it does matter not all users in vCloud.

    If a group is imported, the membership is validated when the user connects to the vCLoud site... then automatically imported as required (successful validation of membership + references).

    That's why you see the 'group' being present, but no users.

    Try to import the group, and then sign in as a member of the group.

    Observe.

    =)

    Best regards

  • Cannot access the local users and groups

    Hello everyone, I got this error since April 2010:
    Cannot access the computer ComputerName. The error was: invalid syntax.

    It is not really bad for me, because I used to use the cmd console.

    I followed several recommendation to solve this error, but without success. Many colleagues have the same error. About 100 of the 500 have this problem.
    Don't tell me to reinstall the PC because it is not possible. I have no spare time to set my PC again and install all required software. And to reinstall the PC isn't sollution.

    Re-register the dll or other files not work. Not work replace the msc or cpl files. Installation of the admin packs, technical resource kits or installer also not work.

    No errors in the application logs, no errors in the system log, no errors in the security logs. GPO is clear. The same mistake in compmgmt.msc, lusrmgr.msc, or when I add the MMC snap-in. So I guess that the error in the XML (MS XML) parser tool or in the msc file.

    Do someone have the solution for this?

    Yet once the relocation no solution!

    Hi Peter,.

    You must restore your registry to a point in time before that you have disabled the administrator user.  It is not easy if there is any left on the system administrator user.

    One way to do this is to start your computer from a CD rescue-style such as BartPE and UBCD4Win or Linux Livecd such as Knoppix.  You can then follow the steps in the following article from part 2, step 6, using GUI to copy and rename the files rather than orders from command-line specified in article.

  • Is it possible to add local groups and users on Windows 7 Home Basic Edition?

    She is trying to help someone solve the problem of having with what she said, it is Windows 7 Home Basic Edition.

    See said that it is a purchased laptop recently and that she had already used the local users and groups on this laptop, and now she is no longer able to see.

    I told her that I was pretty sure that the local users and groups was not available in Windows 7 Home Basic Edition, but she said she had "activated" (his words) at the store where she bought and was able to add a new user, because it was part of his mission in M/S of SQL...

    Is this possible? Are there options to do? It doesn't make sense to me, so I thought I would post it here.

    Thanks for any idea that you can afford.

    Is this possible? Are there options to do? It doesn't make sense to me, so I thought I would post it here.

    Windows 7 Home Basic Edition under the snap-in to manage local groups is not included. However, you can do the work manually as follows:

    1 log in under an administrator account.
    2. click on the start planet.
    3. type cmd.exe in the search box.
    4. press on Ctrl + Shift + Enter
    5. click on "run as Administrator".
    6. type the following commands and press ENTER after each:
    net localgroup "Family" / Add
    net localgroup
    net localgroup 'Family' 'Jack' / Add
    net localgroup "family".
    net localgroup 'Family' 'Jack' / del
    net localgroup 'Family' / del
    The meaning of the switches should be obvious.
