For some reason when I try to connect my Win7 laptop to my home network and the premium all in a 309g printer which is connected wireless to my network home and trying to get the printer to print on my laptop, in the add printer box, it turns out the printer 2 times. The first time as Photosmart premium 309g and there still the same name of the printer, but with "HPOB437F" in the name of the printer. most later showing a green check mark. The two printer icons look like 2 different model printers. Also when I click on my computer with drives C, D, G, then Z to the printer. When I got this installed printer before ever stood there.

Any help in setting up my installation would be appreciated.

A may be associated with the simple operation of the system driver and the other related to the complete HP software.

Delete the one with less settings, I guess.

  • Unable to connect laptop to a wireless printer

    Hello:

We have a laptop HP with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

    and a HP all-in-One Photosmart Premium C309g printer/copier/scanner.

It was all together upwards and work wireless very well for a few years.

    Our wireless router went wrong.

We replaced our DSL modem and the wrong Linksys router with a modem router Netgear.

We have established between the bridge and the laptop's wireless connectivity.

We are unable to establish connectivity between the laptop and the printer wireless.

Printing works fine via a wired connection.

Is this connectivity issue... cannot connect wireless...

a network configuration problem & sharing Windows... or... is there something that needs to be

configured in the gateway provided by AT & T?

    Thank you

    DaleB

So, you configure your laptop to recognize the bridge and he knows the SSID and password, but you have set up your printer for the same SSID and password? Until you do, it will NEVER work wireless...

You will need the manual of the printer as it must be installed at the end of the printer...

  • I need this laptop wireless connection to my office wired printer. How

I want to this laptop wireless connection to my office wired printer. How can I do that. I tried to do the thing of the shared printer, but my office is old and uses windows xp, and of course, this laptop uses windows 7. My printer is an epson stylus photo r320. I want to have my wife's cell phone to also be able to access the printer. I connect to the internet via a cable comcast and have a linksys N Router e2500. I want to do this as cheaply and simply as possible. Thank you

    Hello:

First you must enable sharing of files and printers in Windows XP. During this process, you need to change the name of your to WORKGROUP MSHOME workgroup to match the workgroup name in Windows 7.

You should also turn on file sharing and printers in Windows 7, and turn off password protected sharing.

When you have done all that, click View workgroup computers on the XP PC. You should see the two PC listed.

With the laptop to Windows 7, you should see the printer connected to your computer listed with the desktop computer (you may need to click on see the whole map when you open the network and sharing Center). Click on the printer and click on connect. I hope that the printer is capable of Windows 7. If it isn't, it will give you an error that it cannot find an appropriate driver or another error.

  • HP OfficeJet 6500 E710n: HP OfficeJet 6500 printer problem - connection to new Comcast Wireless Gateway E710n

Use this printer (wireless) for a few years without problem connected to a Linksys 802.11n wireless router.  Connected to a desktop computer and two laptops.

Comcast asked recently that I update my modem cable to a new wireless, which also serves as a 802.11n access point wireless router.  I installed the new point wireless very well and has been able to set up the printer on a wireless network. (IP, host name and Mac address doesn't appear on the thin printer).

I reinstalled the printer drivers on each computer and everything worked very well last weekend.  This weekend, I went to turn the Scanner on the desktop (HP Pavilion, Windows 7, 64-bit) and it wouldn't work.  Then I reinstalled the device drivers and then there was no connection to the printer (many reboots the PC and printer at various times during the tests).  So I ran again the connection settings on the printer - and led wireless term.  (I was able to get the scan to the connection to the computer once on one of the laptops, never the office, then lost.  When I send to the printer, it goes into the queue, a very small number of bytes, cross (usually hear the printer starts) then there lost error "connection to a printer.  Oddly enough, a couple of times after canceling the print job in the queue, the printed test page actually printed a few minutes later...

I tried to use HP Print & Scan Doctor - it was a complete waste of time.  To date, it has always died (do not connect not not the unit) and never been able to diagnose something.  I end up having to go to the Task Manager to kill him because he always hangs.

    Any thoughts?  I'm puzzled.

Appreciate any help/ideas that someone can think.

FYI - I have still no idea what the question is / was?

Connected to the gateway wireless from Comcast to the old Linksys router and I went back to my old wireless network.  After you have reinstalled the printer drivers, re-connection of the printer to the old wireless network, re-start the printer and computers - I was (finally...) manages to get printing and scanning works again.

    What a waste of a morning/afternoon.

  • Printer Hp6700: unable to connect to the router wireless D - Link DI-514 when SSID Broadcast is set to no.

HP6700 printer: unable to connect to the router wireless D - Link DI-514 when the router Broadcast SSID is set to no. My MAC laptop and HP laptop both work with the set SSID on no. If I change the router Wireless SSID Broadcast is YES, then the printer HP6700 can connect to the wireless router. I set up the printer it saying that the SSID and password have been, the same as both of my laptops, but it connects ever, unless I have change the router to broadcast the SSID. Help!

Have you tried to update the firmware on the DI-514?

You can also try to set a static IP address on the printer, and then assign the printer to the list of DHCP static in the interface of the router.
To give a static IP address to your printer:
-Print a the front of the printer Network Setup Page. Note the IP address of the printer.
-Enter the IP address in a browser to reveal the internal settings of the printer.
-Choose the network tab, then wireless along the left side, then on the IPv4 tab.
-On this screen, you want to set a manual IP address. You must assign an IP address outside the range that the router sets automatically (called the DHCP range). If you do not know the range, change the last set of numbers (those after the last '.') 250
-Apply the subnet 255.255.255.0 (unless you know it's different, if so, use it)
-Enter the IP of your router (on the Page of the Network Config) for the gateway.
-Enter for the first DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 for second DNS. It's Google DNS. You can choose a different external DNS if you wish.
    -Click 'apply '.
Now, stop the router and printer, start the router, wait, and then start printing.

After that you remove and re - add the printer to your Mac.

  • Attempts to connect to the Dell V505 printer wireless set up - get error "WSD Print has not a driver" peripheral.

I'm trying to set up a printer Dell V505 to a Dell Studio laptop running Windows 7.  I followed an indicating knowledge base article I want to uninstall my driver from dell and installed by using the Windows Vista SP2 compatibility mode, what I've done. After having done that, I'm gettting error "WSD Print device is not a driver" I'm not sure if it's a windows problem or from dell if seeking answers at once.

This printer connected easily to the Vista desktop running when put in place wirelessly.d

    Thanks for any help.

Connect to the device using the WSD Protocol is available only when it is directly connected to the printer.   Try setting the printer using a Standard TCP/IP Port or if the Vista machine is 32 bit, and Windows 7 machine is also 32 bits (or the two bits 64) sharing the printer from Vista and establish a connection to get the installed printer driver, and then perform the network plug and play on the Plug-and-play device should use the driver to install the rest of the unit.

You will need the network printer configuration page to obtain the host name or IP address and create a Standard TCP/IP Port. Alan Morris Windows printing team; Here Microsoft Knowledge Base search: http://support.microsoft.com/search/Default.aspx?adv=1

  • How can I connect my netbook to the printer on the same wireless network?

My home wireless network is well established and includes a wireless printer.  I'm usin my HP netbook now and for the purposes of the internet, it is connected to the same wireless network.  However, I can't the netbook to detect the wireless printer so that I can install it.  Help, please.  Thank you

It is often easier - especially with the HP printers - to launch the installation CD for the printer to the new computer and let the installation program find the printer for you.  (But I forgot... your netbook is not a CD player.)  You could try to copy the files from the printer installation CD - if you have a CD, a USB key and use it to install the printer.)

I support this.  HP drivers to connect to printers more easily when you allow the installation of the driver detect the printer.  I had several HP devices and their installation is smooth when I do that.

  • Using the two connections of cable and wireless on a laptop Windows 7

I have a wireless router on my home network, which works very well.  Sometimes, I connect my laptop with a wired connection for faster speed during file transfer.  When I do that, I have 2 network connections: Wi - Fi and wireless.  Should I disconnects me wireless connection, or is it possible to have both connections at the same time?  Is it possible to configure Windows 7 to disconnect the wireless when it detects a wired connection?

    Thank you.

It's OK to have two connections.  Windows automatically uses the one with the highest rated speed.

I don't know how to have it automatically disconnect one of them. Steve Winograd, most Microsoft Valuable Professional (desktop experience)
