Connection broadband

Hi all, I have lenovo 20ARS07J0Z model number T440s and I found the SIM tray on the right side of the machine, but I do not see the Manager of Broadbank connections, he says same WWAN option.

I am running windows 8.1, can anyone help please?

Hello

Your laptop has built-in wwan card. Computer laptop is just "wwan ready', i.e.has SIM card (and player) and wwan antenna kit. Thus, in order to have mobile broadband capabilities, you can buy wwan card yourself, for 3 g only or 3 g + LTE ones.

If my ADSL connection disconnected by the provider of the connection on my computer freezes instead of disconnect!

As the title suggests, if my connection interrupted by the ISP (for example: Internet service provider who use dynamic IP automatically disconnects after 24 hours permanent connection), my connection broadband (PPPoE) on my windows 7 freeze and it does not cut, and this isn't answer to disconnect click, even if I uninstall the Ethernet card, keep the connection.

Everything else works fine, and the only way to connect to the Internet is to restart my pc.

Also if the connection is disconnected due to a traction cable or ADSL Modem power connection broadband (PPPoE) on my PC disconnect normally without any problems and I can reconnect without any problem.
    any help with this.

    Hello

PPPOE software th whole arrangement never worked well from the first day more than 10 years regardless of the operating system.

So most serious DSL carriers actually give free Modem/Router so that authentication would be by the side of the router WAN.

They give it for free for phone support for this problem cost them more than the $10 adds the router to the Modem

For example, get a router, simple routers in the United States are sold for less than $15.

Router solved the problem PPPOE provides, security with NAT firewall, and stream DSL is actually faster than with authentication of software.

    Hello
The manual doesn't really explain how to start a connection with the R930 broadband.
I have a SIM card but not express or the smart card into the card slot
    Which one should I buy?

The blue button on the touchpad is always turned on, but there is

    2nd question:
The WiFi works, there is an Ethernet cable, if I want to use, then the - future - Broadband card.
How can I manage when I'm close to a working WLAN pc does not use the link high pay rate, but the ethernet cable or WLAN radio link?

    TIA

The easiest way is to connect to an access point or wireless access point wireless.

If the R930 is a modem 3G / 4G, you can use a SIM card.

You must disconnect the connection 3G / 4G, if you want to use the WLAN.

  • Satellite Pro L20: connection broadband

I just got broadband installed on my phone line, can I connect my L20 directly to the internet now, or do I need a router broadband or modem as well? I could just plug my phone line into the back to make it work? I used dial up on this subject and also wireless to someone elses House but never normal broadband.

    Hello

I think that the laptop comes with a simple modem V90.
Sorry, but you are not able to use a connection with this modem, broadband.
If you want to use the connection high speed, you will need a modem special external broadband or the broadband router WLan that increases data transfer. Between the router (modem) and the phone connector of the device special must be connected which is able to separate the signals.

But everything should be clear of broadband provider you.

  • Connection broadband drops error 12029 connecting to Microsoft

original titleL my broadband guard down as often as 3 or 4 times in the span of an hour. When I connect to IE8 a msg frequerntly Windows back in the diagnose connection problems

Since I changed my router on a month ago (BT HomeHub), my broadband connection keeps falling as often as 3 or 4 times in the span of an hour.  When I finally connected to IE8 a Windows XP msg frequerntly arrived in the "window to diagnose connection problems.

Error 12029 connecting to MS, connection with the server could not be established.

Also error 12031 MS server reset, successfully connected to www.hotmail.com.

MS keeps referring me to my ISP or the manufacturer of the software firewall.

Whenever BT checked the line for fouls but there is nothing reported.

What happens if something can do to remedy this?

    Hello

Just to put you in tune with my problem.

They sent me two more host regional centres 3 and 2.0.

I plugged the 2.0 directly into a filter and then into the master socket.  All the lights were blue.

Then, I plugged the phone line on the same filter and got a tone.

As soon as I checked tone BB light has started flashing on the new homepage Hub2.0.

I then plugged a filter separated from older style (came with my BT Voyager 220V router) of the phone line then connected the filter to an old outlet that I haven't used for more than 10 years.

BB blue light stayed stable on the 2.0.

I was able to make a call on my phone without the BB stall DECT.

I tried 5 filters total on the BB line and the phone, which came with each of the new hubs.

It was just a fluke that I thought to use the old style filter that I used when my old router was in place.

I received a phone call this morning BT say they had gone as far as they could go with their tests and were sending a technician to check the master socket and internal wiring, with a warning that there will be a surcharge of £99 if my son was at fault.

You can imagine what I told them to do?

You were correct in your assumption that it is almost always the filter that is causing the problem.

Thanks a lot for your help.

  • Connection broadband slow dimension 8300

I'm having a problem with a connection slow broadband on my Dimension 8300 and am now at a loss for what else to try.  The speakeasy test shows that I get about half the download speed of the Insipiron 5100 networked through the same modem and the router.  The ISP service is 5 Mbps.

    Speakeasy results:

    Dimension 8300, Inspiron 5100

    Download 2995 Kbps 4931 Kbps

    Download 495 Kbps * 490 Kbps

    * result as after new installation map network which has doubled the speed test result when using PRO/100 VE

    Here is what I tried:

-rebooted in safe mode to remove the effects of the software loaded, no change in upload and download times as shown above.

-replace the modem, no change in top/download times

-replace the network adapter - this brought my upload speeds with the Inspiron, no change in the time of downloading the above online

-traded around cables using the cable to use to connect Inspiron - no change in top/download from the above

Is there anything else I can do to get the speed of dowload on the 8300 closer to the 5Mbps.  I want to move to a 10 Mbps service but don't want to spend the extra money if my system is not able to do better than 3Mbps.

    Modem: Motorola SB5102

    Router: DLink DI-704UP

    Netword card: DGE - 530 t (10/100/1000Mbps)

    Thank you!

  • How to share an internet connection broadband on the Satellite A200-1VG

    Hello
I am very new in the world of laptops, 3 days old. In fact, I have a desktop computer (the OS is XP Professional) and just bought my self a Satellite A200-1VG (the OS is Vista).
In my view, is it possible for 2 machines to share a connection high speed, but how I do not know. I must admit to be pretty ignorant when it comes to technology (you have probably gathered that now) and I ask that any given notice will be given in the language too technical.
Thanks in advance for a novice.
    EGP

    Hello

Of course, you can share the internet connection with 2 computers.
If you have a WLan router, you can connect a computer to the LAN port and the laptop can be connected via Wireless LAN.

You can also connect two computers to the LAN port. Some routers support two (or more) of LAN ports and assign TCP/IP addresses automatically.
If your router supports one LAN port you could buy a Hub (or switch) for more LAN ports and connect multiple computers.

Lastly but not least you can connect to the laptop of desktop PC, but the PC needs to be equipped with min 2 LAN cards.

I would recommend a little goggling for more details. I m you will find some useful articles.

    Good bye

  • Satellite L300 - connection broadband using USB Modem Orange

Hi, I recently bought a L300-29V running Vista.

Using the installation of modem provided by Orange CD, I got to the step of connecting to the internet (speed touch medem recognized and installed the drivers), but get an error message indicating the name of username/password incorrect. However, the modem and the connection work fine on my PC using the same user name and password. There is something basic that I'm missing? Orange tech support say it's something to do with sesttings on the top of the Tower; this end one hour on their hotline!

    Thank you, Paul.

    Hi mate

I can't provide a solution for you problem because each modem supports a clean software and settings

What type of connection are you using: LAN or WLan

In your case, it is important that the TCP/IP LAN Protocol would support the right settings.
For example; the IP address must be set to obtain an IP address automatically.
In addition using the WiFi network, you should check if you have chosen the good encryption and password.

    Maybe you did?
    Check everything twice!

    Hello

Assuming you're talking about wireless connection.

    Maybe this can help.

These steps and tell us where is the breaking point.

Check the Device Manager for the wireless card valid entry.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/net_dm.jpg

If there is no valid entry, remove any entry from fake and re - install the drivers for the wireless card.

Check network connections to make sure that you have a network icon/entry wireless connection, and that the properties of the icon (right-click on the icon) are correctly configured with the TCP/IPv4 protocol in the properties of network connections.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/net_connection_tcp.jpg

    ------------------

The wireless card drivers much also install utility wireless of the seller.

Make sure that if there is Wireless Utility a seller is not running and the Windows native Wireless (Service WLAN) utility.

    ----------------

Make sure you firewall No. preventing / blocks wireless components to join the network.

Some 3rd AV/Firewall/security software part, s costume keep blocking aspects of Local traffic even it they are off (disabled).

If possible set up the firewall correctly, /Security costume otherwise totally uninstall and get rid of its remaining processes that permit the own local network traffic flow.

If the 3rd party software is uninstalled or disabled, make sure that Windows native firewall is activated.

party like Hello and NetMagic 3rd network managers can block local traffic too.

    ---------------------------

Stack TCP/IP work should look like.

Right-click on the wireless network connection card, select status, details and see if she got an IP address and the rest of the settings.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/status-NIC.jpg

Description is the data of the card making.

The physical address is MAC of the card number.

The xx must be a number between 0 and 255 (all xx even number).

YY should be between 0 and 255

ZZ should be between 0 and 255 (zz all the same number.)

The date of the lease must be valid at the present time.

    * Note 1. IP that starts with 169.xxx.xxx.xxx isn't valid functional IP.
    * Note 2. There could be an IPv6 entries too. However, they are not functional for Internet or LAN traffic. They are necessary for Win 7 homegroup special configuration.

    ---------------------------------------------------

A message in the small window that says connected wireless doesn't means that you are really a valid functional connection.

Above everything is OK, you must be able to connect to the router.

Connection to the router means that you can enter the IP of the router base in an address bar in one go, being able to connect and configure the router menus see.

If it doesn't connect to the router, journal newspaper from any computer that can connect to the router wirelessly with a wire, disable wireless security, make sure that the wireless SSID broadcast is enabled and try to connect with no. wireless security.

Enable security wireless after you eat to make a functional connection.

  • Connection broadband now requiring a connection?

Hi all! I recently encountered a problem with my internet connection, I'm hoping that maybe someone else has already known and solved.

Last week I started having intermittent internet service (Comcast is my ISP) and a day later the connection disappeared completely. I called Comcast customer service and has been disconnected call several times (because the side is snow storms) but managed to understand that the problem is not actually with the connection itself, but something with my machine. I confirmed this by dusting off an old computer and it will connect to internet just fine. I am running XP on the old machine and Vista on the problem computer.

Now, all that said, my main problem. Whenever I try to connect, a dialog box appears asking me to connect with a login and a password which I don't have. Comcast even told me that they do not use any kind of connections. In my view, that the box says something about my connection to wide band. Forgive me, I don't remember exactly what he said.

So in summary, any person is asked to connect, out of the blue, when starting a web browser?

Thanks in advance for your help. I'm sure I left out a lot of details and will provide them the best I can.

    There are drivers here...

You must click on the SUPPORT tab, but NOT the one at the top of the Web site that will take you to the general support of ASUS.

There is another lower SUPPORT tab to the bottom of the page on the right which will take you to your specific model.

Then click on the DOWNLOAD tab and follow the path to get the drivers for your LAN PCIe device...
