How to activate and how to connect information and planning applications?

    Hello:

You will probably need to install the driver for the wireless card there.

If you see a device network controller listed in the Manager of devices, then you certainly need to install the driver for the wireless card model that your laptop uses wireless.

There is a setting in Connection Manager > Preferences > power to the device , which CAN be assigned to turn off the wireless / Bluetooth when you have left the connection manager.  You must Select / SET parameter.  You can see, just in case...  I never heard talk of the Connection Manager turn off wireless, unless it was to make it to the exit.

You can do the following in the Device Manager to leave the power to the wireless and Bluetooth devices:

Control Panel > display icon > Device Manager > network adapters >

Right click on the WiFi link (Intel) (wording may vary) >

    in Properties > Powermanagement >

Clear the check BOX "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".

    Ok

    Do the same for Bluetooth...

  • HP connection manager

My question concerns the Hp connection manager.  I noticed that on my Pavilion dv7, it's using a lot of memory system and I wanted to turn it off. I changed the settings to prevent it from running at startup and when I restarted my computer, I was unable to connect to the internet.  The Wlan icon in the system tray shows that I was connected to my network, but I couldn't access the internet at all.  I started hp connection manager and fi x the problem.  Is there a way to bypass this allows me to disable the connection manager and always access the internet?  Thank you!

    Hello

When HP Connection Manager is installed, all your internet connections (including vpn connections) are routed through this application - when it is unable to start, you won't be able to connect.

However, if you actually uninstall this application (from its entry in the Panel, programs and features), and then restart, the connections will return to managed by Windows.

It is always a good idea to create a System Restore Point before uninstalling this kind of application.

  • T520 flexible workstation: HP Device Manager & HP connection manager

I started by using the HP Device Manager to support our thin clients on the floor.

Use us HP automactially connection manager sign on specific start-up ' user' account.  That charge then in Kiosk mode to connect through the HP Cloud Management.

I tried to find out how to disable the HP Device Manager HP connection manager.

So far with what I tried, if I send a task to the thin client of HPDM and the task causes a reboot of the machine the task is interrupted due to the automatic sign on the 'User' account on the device.

You might want to try "autologcfg.exe".

Autologcfg.exe / OFF is used to disable the HP connection manager.

Autologcfg /? Find more parameters to create your own model DM.

    Hello

It seems that you had an update for HP Connection Manager, which is either incompatible with your system, or simply has not installed correctly.

Try to run the Windows system restore.  If you have Norton Internet Security installed, you should disable Norton Tamper Protection as described in step 2, on the link below.

    http://us.Norton.com/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web&docURL=20091112171719EN&LN=en_US

Once you're done, shut down the laptop.  Windows system restore is usaully better run in Mode without failure.  Tap away at f8 that you start the laptop to enter the Windows Recovery Console.  Use the arrow keys to select Safe mode and press ENTER.  When it has loaded, on the Start Menu, click principally made programs, accessories, click System Tools and run the system restore.  Choose any point of restoration before October 20 and then proceed to the restoration.  When you are finished, Windows will restart normally.

  • Compatibility problem - Windows 7 with WS7 and HP Connection Manager 3

    Hi all

I hope someone can help me. I have the following configuration:

    Laptop HP 8530w

HP un2400 builtin Broadband Modem UMTS

    Windows 7 Professional x 64

    VMWare Workstation 7

My problem is that the HP Connection Manager 3 for the HP un2400 doesn't work anymore after installing VMWare Workstation 7. I'm unable to connect to a UMTS network because the connection manager think, for vmnet1 and vmnet8 virtual network cards are online an internet connected.

I tried to disable the virtual networks through the VMWare Network Editor. I can't disable the adapter, but when I apply the settings, the GUI is suspended.

I need to uninstall the HP connection manager. After that, I am able to disable the cards.

But ultimately I need for my work, the vmnet1 + 8 adapters on the host and Manager of HP connections.

    Does anyone have similar problems?

    Thanks for your help

    Kind regards

    Chris

    Well,.

I did some more tests. I changed the startup type of the service USB arbitration for the delayed start.

It works for me. Active delayed start the connection manager load the firmware of WWAN cards before USB arbitration service is embarrassing. The only condition is that the connection manager must be loaded at windows startup.

  • Sectioning ThinkVantage Connection Manager FOR GOOD!

    Hi everyone-

Can someone tell me how to disconnect my T-500 connection manager? I am running XP Pro on this machine. I would just use the wifi Manager instead. I don't want to uninstall it if I don't have to.

    Thank you

Why not just uninstall it if you want to remove it?

If you want to temporarily kill the dial-up connections, open a command prompt or run this command

    qctray /killac

    and restart

    qctray /startac

I strongly suggest to disable only not services.

  • HP Connection Manager for RDP + kiosk

Anyone know of any good RPD Connection Manager that worked as old thin clients HP T5500 series? We bought a bunch of T5740 and PUE HP connection manager really.

The former Manager works fantastic, it prompted for the user name and password and then that passed to RDP to connect to our Terminal Server.

Now it comes to automatically connect to the TS server, and users get a time-out error when you try to open a session, forcing them to enter their credentials again.

HP even test these things before installing these applications?

    Hello

So if you use ThinShell, you don't need/use of connection manager.

BUT if you want ThinPro, V4.4 will install on the T5740. The client RDP don't is not too rich on ThinPro as she WES7, but if it does what you need and you're happy with it - go ahead.

I think that you are fighting with is that Microsoft RDP client (MSTSC) is not particularly pleasant, when the device is not in the field. She wants to collect the credentials before the connection, so it can then switch to the gateways and servers. This is different from the former client who has not requested until you are connected to the server.

What I've used in the past with HP ThinShell is an excellent free utility

    http://www.donkz.nl/ called RDP Plus.

It allows a LOT of qualifiers from the command line to get the behavior you're after and hide things, that you don't need. Really, it's a wrapper of MSTSC client.

    Example to connect with FreeRDP.

    "RDP. "EXE/Wait /fullscreen /v:dc1.thinnet.local /domain:thinnet /ontop/noclose/Wait /drives: - c, - z /noprinters / u: Thinnet\.

    I hope this helps.
