  I have a very big problem with HP Connection Manager 4 on several Windows 7 laptops. The program is installed on about 250 laptop computers and some of them drive me crazy. Everything was fine until some point (I'm not quite sure, that could be after the installation of SP1, Win7), the connection manager has decided to stop working on some machines. Whenever I try to start it, it takes a long time to load until the following message is displayed:

  -Start the service manually: "Error 1067: the process terminated unexpectedly."

  -Msconfig: Removed any connection associated with Autostart Manager

  -Reinstall the HP connection manager

  -Repair HP Connection Manager

  -Changed some regkeys

  -Install Microsoft Hotfix KB2519740 which is part of the system essential updates for Microsoft Windows 7 (that I can't download because there is a server error)

  The only thing that really works is to reinstall the laptop with the image with which we install all of them. HP connection manager is installed as a software later so I don't understand why a reinstall is successful.

  You need not HPConnection Manager to make these connections. You can uninstall it without having to reinstall.

  The function of HPConnection Manager is to make it easier to establish links for people who have trouble getting wireless or bluetoothconnections.

  For those who have the same problem and who can not susbcibe to service, just ignore the error popup and continue the sign-up process (make sure you have all of the displayed window). Normally, you must complete the process and after reboot, connect to the service using the service of standard network provided by windows 7 instead of the applications of the buggy HP connection manager.

  During my first update using the Desktop Manager, there were 13 steps, and I had to unplug to half way through.

  From your description, it seems that if you can't follow instructions in the Microsoft fixit to the letter. By using the fixit is the easiest way to remove the registry entries and make changes to the registry that will allow installing and uninstalling software.  I can't recommend the methods that I use personally when I run on these issues because they involve access to the registry via regedit. The word people have never even heard of Regedit. Ongoing work on an operating system can fairly easily through the registry editor. Try the Microsoft fixit. It is a safe utility.   Downloaded the driver of HP software, started installation and got to the point where it says to connect the printer, did, he recognizes it, start the data transfer and just takes forever.
