• Inspiron 1525 - problems with image restore factory (need help!)

  I have a problem with my Dell Inspiron 1525, I can not solve... so please help me!
   
  My Windows Vista Home Edition crashed while installing an update and now could not start more (I always get this bad blue screen during startup), so I would like to repair my laptop using the Dell factory image.
   
  I'm doing... .with related problems
   
  1. I press F8 during startup, but there is no entry "Dell factory image restore" or something like that (I even tried each one entry but nothing factory imagine restoration).
   
  2. by starting with a Ubuntu live cd, I can see that there is a partition that contains (among other files and folders) that image (:\dell\image\factory.wim) and a Tools folder where there are files imagex.exe and pcrestore.exe
   
  3 one... Using a pen drive usb bootable containing a bootable back version, I Prime the system. I also put in the usb pen, ntfspro.exe in order to read the ntfs partition
  b. I went in D:\Tools and run this command:
  > PCRestore.exe --> but I received an error message indicating that this program cannot be run in dos mode
  c. so I tried this other person (I've read here in the Forum):

  > imagex/apply c:\dell\image\factory.wim 1 c:\ --> but I got the same error as above, it is impossible to run this program in dos mode

   

  4. in addition (and I think it's weird), I tried to boot with the dvd operating system shipped by Dell with the laptop: loading at startup of Windows, but just after the progress bar (green) appears at the bottom of the screen, it blocks showing again this bad blue screen!

   

   

  Now I don't know what I can do!

  Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.

  When you press F8 and the menu, choose the option which reads 'Repair your computer' and follow the menu to restore the system.
  

  This utility formats the partition of hard drive to the operating system before you restore the original image. This means data on that partition is deleted and cannot be retrieved.

  If you create a second partition with a third-party utility, Dell Factory Image Restore remains unchanged until the partition of the image is not deleted.

• Problem with Runtime.getRuntime ()! Need help!

  I use the following command for the connected USB media formatting (in the case h: here's the connected media). Format happens correctly, but the problem is to format does not occur until you have completed running the java program.
  I used the following code in a simple java main class and it worked well. But my request is broad and may not terminate / close it to complete the task of format.

  Execution of format will not move forward unless you program java, after that Runtime.exec () will simulate the playback format output and simulate you required ENTRY for format to continue. This procedure is not really easy, but fortunately the article explains well.
  In pseudo-code, instead of:

  Runtime.exec()
  CodeBehind()
  

  You should:

  Runtime.exec()
  ExtremelyImportantCodeFromTheArticleThatAllowsFormatToCompleteRightAway()
  CodeBehind()
  

  In fact, I don't know why after all the format is successful when the program stops.

  All I can say is that above works fine on my computer and I feel it should work on all windows because it does not use any new thing shell.

  · The question is limited to this video file? Yes, all the videos copied from my cell and downloaded on PC, the problem occurs. Note all the copied images have no problems.
  · Did you do changes on the computer before the show? None.

  Any further suggestions? I fear, if I should try a codec download from the internet and that you and the measures to be taken.

  I would recommend that you download and install K-Lite Codec pack from here.

  Get either the Standard or complete package to halfway to the bottom of the page. There is a package tailor-made for 64-bit if your Windows 7 is that the flavor. The 64-bit package is not always necessary, as most of the programs are still 32-bit.

  To check this, simply connect the laptop to an external monitor (from a friend, parent,...) If nothing wrong with the external monitor, which means that the screen of the laptop is faulty, if the video card is faulty.   Printing which forms an angle seems ok, but one that is horizontally seems faded, incomplete.

  I was wondering if I saved a layer somewhere and set it as a default value.

  If you group the layers, you will be left with a single layer, thus spreading your concern.

  Suggest that you do the following:

  1. Make sure you have the latest drivers for your printers
  2. Reset the default preferences.

  Hold the Alt, Ctrl + Shift keys when you click the icon to open the items. When asked if you want to delete the settings file, say Yes.

  Items nearby and let regenerate the file.

• Connection problems with O2/UK

  Hi all

  II having connection problems when running my application on the network O2/UK. It is specific to the said operator then please don't direct me to General articles on connection settings (I have a simple library for dealing with this).

  I first tried WAP2, which I think I read was the best option, and it failed with the following text: "java.io.IOException: APN is not specified." Connection parameters used were: «;» ConnectionUID = WAP2 + trans"(extract from the records of service). This indicates to me that the settings in the service record are not OK...

  Then I tried wap1 with the following settings found on the web (pinstack.com):

  Gateway IP: 192.113.200.195
  Port: 9201
  APN: wap.o2.co.uk
  username: o2wap
  password: password

  with this, I have net.rim.device.cldc.io.waphttp.WAPIOException. The parameters can of course be wrong (that's the point of not having them in the camera, as do all other manufacturers, BTW...). Y at - there someone here who has done other app works with o2 UK without resorting to the BIS? Any help is appreciated.

  1. If you try WAP 2.0 TCP, then instead of '+' it probably should be a space in the ConnectionUID. It should read "ConnectionUID = WAP2 trans. You probably get a sign '+' because you think you need exhaust URL parameters, which is not the specific case for RIM connection settings.

  2. If you try Direct TCP (aka carrier TCP today), then take a look here: http://www.filesaveas.com/gprs.html I got a card SIM O2 (contract) and the "Mobile Web" APN settings worked very well.

• Connection problem with the second monitor, macbook pro 2014, OSX El Capitan

  There are a few threads describing problems with two monitors, but I have not found a match.

  I like for the operating system ask login password once the lid is closed, no matter how much time has passed (even for a moment). Also, I work with a dual monitor. However, when my macbook is plugged into the monitor and I close the lid, the macbook don't disconnect but spends just primary monitors. Understand that this could be a feature and not a bug, I tried to unplug the monitor before closing the lid. But the OS seems not to realize that the monitor has been disconnected, and when I close the lid he didn't ask me for my password once that I reopen it. Does it also if I wait a bit (i.e. one minute) after disconnecting the monitor, but not if I wait a while (or 15 minutes), well that I've not enough highlighted how long is necessary so that it starts locking on my closing the lid. He does it with different monitors, so I doubt that it depends on the particular monitor. In both cases, I used the HDMI port.

  This is quite annoying, because I need to be able to disconnect safely in a short period of time, and I was not able to find a workaround on mine. Everyone knows this? Thank you for any help or advice.

• Connection problem with the satellite C660 - 24L

  I have a Toshiba satellite c660 - 24L running windows 7 and have had a problem with internet connection in the last two days.

  Marketing, the internet works very well for around a minute and then I lose the connection. The computer says still connected but the network map displays a problem between the computer and the Wi - Fi router. After that restart the internet works fine again, and then disconnects after ~ 1 min.

  A few times, the computer froze, and gave me a blue screen and memory dump, and then a forced restart.

  Computer behaving the same way when connected and disconnected from the mains.

  All other devices will connect to the router talk-talk with no problems.

  Any help is appreciated, thank you in advance.

  Have you noticed a few problems if you use the local network connection?
  Original Toshiba WLAN driver is pre-installed on your computer?

  To be honest, it is not easy to say why this show is starting to happen so suddenly.
  Try to back up OS to an earlier time using System Restore tool just to see if the problem will still be there.

  I recently bought a 1205dx M6 model and am enjoy, but I'm having a problem with connectivity to the internet.

  Sometimes, the wifi adapter will totally fall signal. My laptop is about 5 feet from the router so it isn't falling because of a problem of distance it disconnects sometimes just the router for no reason. I can't click on network settings and reconnect quickly without problem, but if I'm in the middle of a Skype call or an online game it disconnects me and is aggrivating.

  The card built into the system is an AR9485 of Qualcomm Atheros 802.11b/g/n WiFi Adapter and I have everything from the BIOS updated for specific drivers for the card itself, and she continues to perform. Does anyone else know this or have a fix for this, I'd be more than happy to give it a try. Thank you!
