connectivity remotely and in oracle 11g

Hi friends,

I m just a beginner, I m confused in the connectivity of customers and remote access.

If I need to connect the client via the local network, then what are the steps?
and if I want to connect to my Oracle server remotely, then what are the steps?

Kindly help.

Now I understand the whole picture.
In fact, some1 asked me in an interview. I need to know that it is there another method to connect to the remote database?

ODBC allows you to connect to remote DB

If it's a sys user you will need to set the password file to connect to the database as sysdba user remotely. and we do not need to check if the privilege to connect is given to the sys user or not. adding to this remote_login_password check = EXCLUSIVE lock

  • To connect remotely to the GR 11, 2 Oracle database

    Hello world

I'm a beginner who aims to become a DBA. With no prior experience in the administration of the database, I suspect some of my questions will be stupid enough, but once learned, it is learned for good, so please be gentle :)
After you install Oracle Linux 6 version 3 and database Oracle 11 GR 2 on a dedicated machine, I downloaded Navicat for Oracle (trial) and tried to connect to the database remotely. So far I've succumbed.

The listener is in PLACE and I can connect to https://localhost:1158 / em very well. Address Net Listener is configured as follows:
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST=localhost) (PORT = 1521))
I have a hunch that "localhost" might not be sufficient to allow remote connections, but some documentation I read was a little confused. I also tried adding another auditor who would use 'HOST' entry as the DNS name of the complete machine but which seemed to spoil 'EM completely.
On the error message: whenever I try to connect, I get "ORA-12541: TNS:no listener. But, as I said, the listener is in PLACE.

Please advice what could be the problem.

    Thank you.

Your Lstener knows nothing about services. You must configure the dynamic record of service in your database, for example

    ALTER system set local_listener = "(DESCRIPTION = (ADDRESS =(PROTOCOL=TCP) (HOST = CBR-SRV-HPORA. CIBER-INDIA. IN) (PORT = 1522))) ';

(for permanent fixing forget pfile or spfile)

After the database records the address und thie services you will see the service when you ask "srvctl services oracle11g_listener.

  • The deleted Remote Desktop connection icon and want to know how to add it back

    Hello

I have Windows XP Home Edition and a VPS service for Forex trading.  I 'accidentally' deleted my DESKTOP CONNECTION link remotely located in START / all PROGRAMS / ACCESSORIES / COMMUNICATIONS and I can't understand how he put on my desk, so I can connect to my VPS.  I'll have to type MSTSC. EXE in the box to RUN whenever I want to check my VPS and Forex, results instead of having an icon on my desktop to use.

I tried to download SP3 again, hoping he would add the DESKTOP CONNECTION remote to its previous location in the menu START / all PROGRAMS / ACCESSORIES / COMMUNICATIONS.  Then I was hoping she was send to office option or create a shortcut?  But my computer won't let me download it SP3 again on the existing SP3 file, so I'm stuck.

Someone has a very simple solution, how can I put back the link or shortcut DESKTOP CONNECTION remote on my desktop but it works correctly and also back to START / all PROGRAMS / ACCESSORIES / COMMUNICATIONS to connect on my VPS service Office?  I'm totally Luddite as you can tell, so I don't know if there is a major or minor problem, but I appreciate all the support!

    Thank you, Jim Pinkerton

Open search and search for mstsc.exe, where it is found right click and choose open folder, item selected right click and choose send to desktop, create a shortcut, it will be back on your desktop.

I am trying to accept an invitation from my mom's remote assistance and this is what I got after entering the password: connect Remote Assistance could not be established because the DNS name of the remote computer cannot be resolved.

You get the error "a Remote Assistance connection could not be established because the DNS name of the remote computer could not be resolved" when the requesting computer (the computer 'demand' help) sends its private IP address instead of its public IP address in the request for assistance. The solution is 'easy' for some and difficult for others. I present here for your perusal:

    (1) obtain the public IP address of the requesting computer (by visiting a web page such as http://www.whatismyip.com)
    (2) save the remote assistance request computers
    (3) modify the remote request for Assistance (RcBuddy.MsRcIncident) using a text editor (such as notepad) and replace the private - section of IP address should be something like this:
    RCTICKET = 65538,1,192.168.1.33:3389 «»
with the public IP address from whatismyip.com or elsewhere - should be something like this:
    RCTICKET = 65538,1,74.125.47.147:3389 «»
    (4) save the file of RcBuddy.MsRcIncident 'new '.
    (5) double click it to connect to the computer needing help
    (6) cross your fingers and hope it works!

I hope this helps someone else - if it's too much trouble, feel free to use the tools mentioned elsewhere in this thread.

Original title: wired & wireless connections does not.

I can not get the remote access connection manager to start and so no internet connection is not working, also I can't open the system restore to go back on this machine. What is this?

I am running a Dell Studio 1735 PP31L w model number / Edition Vista Home premium.

    Hi Rick,

    1. what happens when you try to start the remote access connection manager? You receive messages or error codes?

    2. you receive error codes or restore messages when you perform the system?

You can check the status of the following services and make sure that the services are started.

    a. Click Start and type Services in start search and press ENTER.

    b. in the services with the right button on the phone and then click Properties.

    c. under the general tab, select automatic next to startup type.

    d. under the general tab, click Start under the service status and then click apply and then click OK.

    e. Repeat steps c & d to the remote access connection manager and Remote Access Auto Connection Manager service.

    Hope this information is useful.

  • Remote Desktop connection fails and no error__

I am running Windows Vista SP1 and I'm unable to connect using desktop remote

The client connects, authenticates and the ' remote configuration session window opens and then closes immediately back to the connection dialog box. There is no error logged in the event viewer on the client or the server.

The problem started after the computer has restarted and Windows Update tried to install SP2 again, which always fails.

Telnet works fine but no remote desktop

It is my media server and all my media devices that use it also so more work :(

I tried a system restore, which breaks down - it seems that the update failed has corrupted this way

The question seems to be down to the following, which is connected between the log error message and log events

Code integrity determined that the hash of the image of a file is not valid.  The file may be corrupted due to an unauthorized change or the invalid hash can indicate a potential disk device error.

    File name: \Device\HarddiskVolume1\Windows\System32\rdpdd.dll

    How can I fix it?

Finally, everything seems to work again - another problem caused by Windows Update. He changed the crazy firewall settings on my domain controller. Aaarrgh!

Now to disable Windows Update and block access to the Windows Update sites.
