Constant 50% cpu on 8.1 window usage

Hello!

My CPU is still over 50%, and sometimes I'll use just Chrome and itunes. I can't seem to locate the exact program at the origin of the problem, it causes its constant evolution. I use to think it was because I was using firefox so I changed to chrome and it is always the case. I feel like it's getting worse now it usaully upward on a 100%, making it almost impossible to use my pc. Help, please.

At first I ran malwarebytes.  You have some process to the serious suspects.

Please download the free version of Malwarebytes.

Update immediately.
Do a full scan of the system
Let us know the results at the end.

http://www.Malwarebytes.org/products

You had 25 Chrome processes to help close to 25%.  Unless you had a certain chrome tabs open it's rare.  This problem occurs when you use a different browser?

I suspect it's the other reason.  What is called the SystemMetricsHelperApp.exe. I can't find any information on this and suspect that it is malware.  It has 40 processes running.

In total, with Chrome and SMHA. EXE, you will have a total of 262 process running it isn't surprising that your processor is running more than 50%

If Malwarebytes comes back clean I would also run a file sytem check to see what the State of the operating system.

Please run a check of system files (SFC)

I am running Vista and after the upgrade to Office 2010, I have problems with spoolsv.exe following one of the 99% CPU all the time.  I have installed all the current updates, have you tried the "FixIt" and there is no persistent spool file in the spooler.  I also deleted all unnecessary printers just to remove any possibility there was a cause of the problem.  If I stop the service spooler CPU and when I restart the service remains low until I opened an application using a printer (Outlook, Word, Excel or practically anything else I opened).  Can anyone help?  Thank you!

  • WUDFHost.exe excessive usage of memory and CPU in clean boot Windows 7

I received occasional warnings that my memory is insufficient, despite a few open programs and 16 G installed. The Task Manager shows WUDFHost.exe consuming huge (but highly variable) amounts, generally well beyond 1 G and often 4 +, and also taking significant CPU resources. Problem persists restart and after disabling boot minimum all but Microsoft services. The machine is very new Dell Latitude E7450 processor and controller 64 bit running Windows 7 Enterprise Edition (service pack 1). All critical windows updates have been installed.

After further investigation it appears this use of memory by increasing the WUDFHost continuously as long as the computer is running, even if the rest.

You are right. It's the media base wireless.

I updated my drivers of deployment with the cited drivers but the problem is still there. This could be linked with another installed driver that he was working on my test machine.

I'll leave this disabling of the device until I find it.

  • Touchpad causing excessive use of CPU on Vostro 3558 (Windows 10)

    Hello.

I am therefore unable to use Windows 10 because using the touchpad causes the process "System and compressed memory" to use more than 30% of CPU.

I made a GIF showing what I mean:

As soon as I start to scroll and move the pointer this process ("Sistema y memoria compartida" in Spanish, but it's the same, ntoskrnl.exe) raises my CPU usage, as you can see.

I tried a lot of things, but I always have to go back to Windows 7 or Windows 8.

-J' uses latest Touchpad drivers from the site Web of Vostro 3558.

-J' tried 19.0.9.4 old synaptic drivers for Vostro 3558 by www.dell.com/.../DriversDetails

-J' lastest synaptics.com generic drivers, tried both SMBus and IC2 versions, but they do not work at all (I even manually installed them in Device Manager).

-This has happened the upgrade of Windows 8 to 10 of Windows and installs also in fresh Win10.

Without drivers from dell (using default microsoft HID Driver and synaptics.com), I get no problems of use of CPU, but none of the gestures of course.

I ask for help because I don't want to stay in Win7/Win8, and it drives me crazy.

I fixed it messing with Vostro 3559 touchpad driver and driver Lenovo Yoga 3 1370.

IN FACT, WINDOWS 8.1 HAS THE SAME PROBLEM, I HAVE NOT TRIED WINDOWS 10.

    THE STEPS I DID TO FIX IN WINDOWS 8.1;

    1. install the VOSTRO 3559 Windows 7 touchpad drivers:

    2. open Device Manager, open the section "Mice and other pointing devices" and right click on "Dell Touchpad" (it should be named only after having installed the drivers Vostro 3559). Select "Update driver software".

    3. click on "Let Me pick from a list of drivers on my computer"

    4. uncheck the "Show compatible hardware", go to "Synaptics" and select "Touchpad"

    5. now if you check your device manager there is NO HIGH CPU USE, BUT TOUCHPAD IS LAG like *, as on some XPS models.

Now, why I did everything above? Because I can not install directly Lenovo Touchpad drivers without installing the first software of Vostro 3559. Synaptics software simply does not therefore not gestures.

    6. DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL THE WINDOWS 8.1 LENOVO YOGA TOUCHPAD DRIVERS 3

    Direct link:

    7. OPEN the DEVICE MANAGER AGAIN AND THE SAME THING, BUT THIS TIME WE will USE "LENOVO POINTING DEVICE" rather than "TOUCHPAD" OR "DELL TOUCHPAD"

    8. YOU're not in MEASUREMENT OF CLICK NOW AS a RESULT OF SWITCHING THE DRIVER, so YOU WILL NEED AN EXTERNAL MOUSE, OPEN TASK MANAGER AND CLOSE ALL SYNAPTICS and PROCESS RELATED of TOUCHPAD.

    9. GO TO C:\Program Files\Synaptics\SynTP AND OPEN SYNTPENH. EXE

    10. HERE, YOU HAVE A JOB ENTIRELY TOUCHPAD WITHOUT MAKING YOUR CRAZY CPU

You don't need to do anything at the next start of Windows, it is already fixed.

  • Use of Photoshop CS6 constant 25% CPU with Nvidia (nvoglv64.dll) card

    Hello

I use Adobe Photoshop CS6 (Cloud) and have the latest version installed. I have a high cpu problem when I want to zoom in the image, then sometimes the CS6 process cpu load is constant on 25%. I tried the graphic avancΘs in CS6 of light, normal, extended. With the setting of the light it doesn't happen so often, but sometimes he's there.

My version of the driver is 310.90, but happen also with earlier versions, or with beta 313.96.

My graphics card is a GeForce Gigabyte GTX 470 Super Overclock with two different monitors connected.

Does anyone else have this problem?

I want to buy a new Nvidia card in the near future, but it would be so good if the problem persists.

Here you can see a screenshot of process Explorer.

    http://bonnix.de/uploads/ps_highcpu.jpg

I can work more or less with CS6, that is not the problem, but the load constant cpu that bothers me.

Maybe someone has any ideas to fix this?

    Thank you!

    Good bye

Many Christmas thanks for your advice!

In basic mode, the problem also sometimes.

I tried almost everything to fix it. Reinstalling the driver; new installation of Windows 7 and CS6 to another disk; Another Geforce Graphics card - nothing helped.

In the last days, I had the chance to get a new motherboard (Z68) with processor i7 2600 k. Before I had a P67 Board and an i5 processor 2600 k.

I do not, but now it works like a charm. I can now use the maximum graphics settings in Photoshop CS6. :-D

Maybe there is a problem with some drivers of the Council or the Council itself.

    Good bye

I just noticed that FF has a growing demand on the CPU... even on the start page... you can look at the use of the processor to climb.

Nothing else ongoing, no updates or downloading... but continues to grow as if I were.

I have usually 3 tabs open... Home (FF), Windows Live, and FB... over a period of 10-15 minutes... I see FF with an average of 600 + - beyond 1 GB of processor power... I solve this problem be frequently closing and reopening FF... but this isn't a long-term solution.

Resource monitor shows 100% CPU usage constantly in recent weeks (no problem for the first 6 months that I have owned the machine) with 85 to 99% of my CPU used on 2 entries each shown as "Toshiba Flash Cards", no idea why and how I can sort this out as it slows everything down? Thank you very much

    Andy

    Hello

The utility of Toshiba Flash Cards is a part of the Vista Toshiba value added package and it controls the functionality of buttons FN.
Kody said already that it is advisable to reinstall the VAP to check if it would prevent the high utilization of the processor.

You should also clean the operating system using the CCLeaner. After PPV remove you must run the CCLeaner to ensure that all of the VAP files have been deleted.

  • Qosmio G20: CPU too high with video usage

    Hello

I've got G20 (2.13 Ghz processor) and nVidia 128 MB GeForce Go 6600 and I noticed that when you run video that my CPU utilization goes up high enough. View tv goes up to about 80%, video in media player substantially the same, but the video clips on Web sites and sites with video banner Web can get up to 100%.

I don't know if this normal that I had not really noticed before, but lately, with this hot weather, I found that on the days hottest occasionally my system stopped, probably because the fan may not follow.

My question is if these ages CPU usage % are normal for this system, or I have some setting wrong that puts the load on the processor and not the graphics card. Can someone tell me if I can check how the video processing is done by the graphics card or how I can assure that this is the work and only in passing on overloading the CPU.

    Thank you very much.

PS I am running the latest drivers video for this machine, obtained from the Toshiba draft.exe page.

    Hi William

I had a lot of experiences with Qosmio G20 and activity of the CPU under pressure. With the use of the highest processor unit was never overheated just a little harder because of cooling fan.

As you know Qosmio G20 is powerful multimedia and video unit problem described in your message is really strange. If you wrote that you don't l l notice that before, I assume your personal configuration is responsible for this. On this path, it is not easy to say why this is happening. Try to check the processes running and at the end all of them you don't need. On this way the CPU use should be much lower.

No icon volumn - no sound since replacing battery to the CPU. I have a Dell Windows XP.  I tried to solve this problem for more than 6 hours, it must help.  If I try to install an icon of volumn - message is - not installed Volume control program.  In the Web sites that I'm not sure that you can trust, they say I need a file Sndvol32.exe (?), or a microsoft update download driver (?).  My computer is 7-8 years, but I installed more Ram.   Appreciate your help.

Windows Explorer is not to be confused with Internet Explorer (which I think you open).

On your desktop, right-click on 'My Computer' and choose the second option in the menu drop-down (not on my XP PC, so don't remember his name). Who should then open WIndows Explorer and you can follow the instructions in my other post. Or double-click my computer, and you get a simpilar window.

  • Iexplore.exe - USE HIGH CPU - 50% (dual processor) - Windows Vista Home Premium

    Help, please!

My HP dv9000 is slow.  PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT INFO YOU NEED ME!  In the Task Manager, under the terms of 'process', it indicates that there are FOUR INSTANCES of internet explorer running, but I only have one window open (with a tab).  I hear my hard drive constantly running and it drives me crazy (and make me cry for my poor computer).  The 4 iexplore.exe (IE8) use respectively 110 000 - 82 300-78 000 - and 8000 K.  Is this normal?

I don't know if we are more concerned by the "CPU" column or in the column "memory (private beach).  In the CPU column, HP Digital Imaging Monitor uses 50.  Is this normal?

Please, I just want my computer to be able to relax.  I'm afraid it's going to explode (not literally, but that's what it looks like!).

  • Svchost.exe - k netsvcs process uses 50% CPU at startup of Windows 7 PC

    Hello

Can someone advise? I have a 32 bit Windows 7 laptop and when it is on, svchost.exe - k netsvcs will run and make use of 50% or more of the CPU and finally up to several hours.

It is a very annoying problem where even if I complete the process using the Task Manager, it reappears shortly after. A reboot also sees a resumption of the process.

I traced this problem to the (wuauserv) Windows Update I had to turn off to avoid the recurring problem. But as this is not an optimal solution, I'd quite like to know how to solve this problem permanently.

  • Difference in consumption of RAM/CPU to editions of Windows 7.

I'll buy Microsoft Windows 7. I have a PC pretty weak i3 Intel with 4 GB of RAM, and my question is: is there a difference between the consumption of RAM of the editions to hardcode as an ultimate and lower than at home. And if there is such a difference what size is?

Family Premium is not really lower. The main difference between Home Premium and

Pro/Ultimate's security features, a maximum amount of RAM that can be used and a couple of

    various related functions.

Home Premium is limited to 16 GB RAM max.

-32 bit Windows does use less RAM idle than 64-bit. How much I don't know, but

my 64 bit system "is inactive" with about 1.65 GB of RAM in use. It's with about 60 ongoing process,

and I do not use AERO or it would be a little more.

-32-bit Windows is not able to access more about 3.25 GB of RAM.

EDIT: I think that if Pro/Ultimate use more cpu idling, there would be negligible.

Check and reinstall the cards memory and cables (at both ends where possible) actually remove and
replace - do not just tight. On a laptop computer on all you can do is reinstall the memory and possibly check
the contacts/connection to the hard drive. Memory could be the problem, so if you have more than 1
stick swap them in and out to see if the problem follows a stick or try the new memory. Antivirus/anti-
spyware/security programs have been known to cause or have a role in this matter.

In the past, I've increased cpu 2 to 4 on similar without any problem, but not sure machines ranging from 1 to 4 cpu

    In the past, take action:

    Turn off the virtual machine

    Take snpshot

increase the number of cpu 2 to 4

increase of 2 to 4 GB memory

    Start the virtual machine

Check Device Manager to make sure that the additional processors are visible

Check the additional memory is visible

    Remove the snapshot

Instant return if the process fails

What also vmware WARNING "change the number of CPUs after the guest OS was isntalled can make your virtual machine unstable."

    Thank you

    Hello

I did this operation, hundreds of times, no problems at all. Problem may occur when you reduce several CPU single-processor. Going from simple to several CPU no problem at all. Of course good to have a clone\snapsot of virtual machine before you make any change :-)

  • LED constant name does not match between window Panel and attribute popup

Edit a range of gui (file .uir) in CVI, I double click on a LED and change the name of the constant.  The name in the Panel summary attribute on the right of the IDE indicates the wrong name.  What causes this?  I had copied and pasted the other LEDs before editing their names.  It seems that the copy and paste operation has confused CVI.

I used CVI 10.0.0.  I called support and the support engineer was able to reproduce the bug on 10.0.0, but not on 10.0.1.  So I upgraded, and the bug disappeared.  I think that the problem occurred in version 10.0.0 when I exceeded 256 LEDs.
