However, the upgrade progress stopped at 98% and never ending so far. Should I wait longer (another day)? Or I can just reset/power off of the it?

  You can wipe the computer and reinstall.

  It now part of the process to upgrade and stop install you on another computer.

  But you can use it to reinstall > then go back to Vista.

  If you have any problems, just call Microsoft and explain what you are doing.
