  I am new to Dreamweaver. I created a new site "bootstrap", but I'm stuck on the creation of a contact form for this.  I can probably understand the shape of DW, but have no idea how to add a captcha for security or how to install a program on the side server.  Can anyone help?    Thank YOU!

  For the life of me I don't understand why anyone would go through the trouble of ringing these discussions just to get their best to not be useful.  It seems to me that since Dreamweaver allows you to create/write/upload php pages and the whole purpose of Dreamweaver is to create websites, and 80% of web sites using php, looks like a discussion of php in this Dreamweaver forum is quite appropriate!

  But that's just me.

  To my personal goal of trying to be helpful, I want to update this topic:

  The contact form is finally resolved.  I made a contact form with the beautiful shape of Nancy O at: Alt-Web Design & Publishing: Contact form sensitive with 3.2 Bootstrap and PHP (part 1)

  that has saved a lot of time, and I ended up hiring a developer at Fiverr (www.fiverr.com/abd_soft/write-fix-and-correct-your-php-script) which converted my existing script of SMTP mail.  He also created a redirect page slick for me for my old contact.htm page who turned into a contact.php page.  Of course, I've updated my site, but wanted the redirect in case there was some other links out there somewhere.

  I would like to paste the php code to be more useful, but the coding Manager put a copyright on the script that I paid for!

  If you try to install an authenticated SMTP contact form and you are not a developer, all I can say is GOOD LUCK.  I hope that my post is a bit useful.

• Contact form simple customer receives do not e-mail the test site

  I entered my client colurriel, cut and paste in place. I added my email and my wifes email. The only person not to get e-mail info forms is my client. I'm puzzled.

  I checked the email used for the notification, dns, check the black list record, smtp all looks fine, but there no spf record is defined for email.

  Please ask your client to add the spf record to their mail files, then check if the notification is received or not. (They can contact their email provider to add the spf record)

  I developed a page and you want to use information from a simple contact form that has changed so that the custom fields and one of the fields has used a widget of third party to provide a date picker.  I figured out how to change the button submit to go to my javascript, but may not know how to read the values in the fields in the form.  Does anyone know how to do?  PS - I did the form in Muse but exported the HTML to Dreamweaver to add javascript code.

  What you're trying to do is beyond the scope of Muse. Remember that any changes in Dreamweaver will be replaced again the next time that you open it in Muse.

  I guess that this should have a summary form. The tag does not work.

  If I click on the small cross (above the tag) I get a Web page:

  who has a 'DATA' section and a message "no data available for this page.

  Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong?

  Form summary includes the form field values that the user has submitted through front end, it should work properly.

  Please let me know if you are still having the same problem.

  You have used a form of e-mail field to create 'Appetite' section. This is the reason for which form registers an error as its not able to recognize an e-mail here entry.

  email form field is a required field for form of Muse. Please rename back to e-mail and also to create another field in form in the widget forum (go to the Option to form and enter a single-line text field) and it should work properly.

  In Muse, I use a simple contact form, but I have to be able to delete the "electronic mail" box and apply a static address in the code that would send the message to. I have static e-mail accounts do, I don't just have to be displayed in the Inbox. How can I change the php code in Dreamweaver to delete the mailbox, but have always contain the static email sends the message of? Basically, I don't need the email to visually display on my site to all that the user has no need to enter the email address.

  You cannot remove field by Muse web form email address. You can try to incorporate forms of third party like jotform.

• Problem with Simple Contact form fields do not come into the home.

  The form of a Simple Contact on our site is not letting users enter their names and e-mail addresses.  The other fields for cell phone and Message are working well.

  I though this might be a problem with the hosting, but the site is hosted on Business Catalyst (badfishy.businesscatalyst.com).

  I created other test sites and insert the Simple Contact form which worked perfectly, so I'm not sure what I did to the main site to cause this problem.

  Any help would be appreciated muchly.

  I checked the site and it seems that the frame of the accordion is extended to the covering page so 2 fields in form because of which fields are not active because they are behind the plot of the accordion.

  Please reduce the accordion framework such as the fields of the form are not behind the frame and then it should work.

  I got the code on the www.getbootstrap.com site to create a basic contact form below. But I noticed there is no built in Captcha. Is Captcha need because I go account when you don't have it, you get a lot of SPAM emails. If so how is this possible?

  CAPTCHA is not strictly a necessity because many are difficult to read and generally more problems than what they are worth. However, you should consider including something like a simple arithmetic question/answer.

  There is not "under the code" in your message.

• Contact form of the muse goes spam

  I put Contact Muse Simple Forms.  When someone sends the form from the Web site, the email ends up in my Junk folder and miss me it.  I added the CAPTCHA function for the form, and I use a host Business Catalyst.  I tried to train my spam filter, but it is not learning.  Something in the forms of the Muse that gets it reported as junk.

  I also had this problem with another site not on Business Catalyst and a different email on another computer account!

  What can I do to make the forms from Muse, will not be flagged as spam?

  You can ignore this error most of the time. If you get it in junk mail then there is no problem with him. Captcha keeps only submitted in the first place. The problem is probably with your email host than anything. It is a local problem a matter of site anymore.

  I use Dreamweaver CS5 and have a couple of contact forms on my website set up. They work fine, but lately have been inundated with spam. For most simple robots automated that waste my time. I don't want to install a captcha configuration.

  I currently require people enter their email twice, in case they make a typing mistake, and while both fields are mandatory, it allows them both contain different inputs, for example, send 1 can be [email protected] and the 2nd may www.spamlink.com... etc. I think that if they had to be the same, he would fix most of the problems.

  What I want is to require that the entries in these two areas of the same (and both be e-mail addresses).

  Also, I wish I had a simple question such as 'what is four plus five' where the user must enter "9" to the form to cross. Or really do anything where I need a specified entry.

  I'm not a person of php or javascript or anything, so if anyone can help me to get this working, I'll probably need very basic and specific info. else loses me. I tried different 'honey pot' methods and nothing seems to work properly.

  Sort of. Client-side means that the script is executed in the browser. Since this can easily be disabled/modified, it is not robust enough for real-world validation. Server-side means that the script is run on the server, making it invisible and much less vulnerable to hackers.

  You must apply to the product development group. There are an infinite number of ways to process forms, and it's a slippery slope when you start to add some features and let others.

  Yet once again, take a look at formstogo, it'll probably help with your problem.

  • Can you build a few custom widget that allows you to hide (or use a different email) = maybe... the code is easy, but laws change from one country to the other about it because of spammers.

  workaround solution simple = define an Adobe ID for your customer with their email that they like and then use that id to download site... allow up to a week for the dns of transfer if the domain name has been around for a while.

  The shape of the model is just html, it cannot 'do' anything by itself. You need to attach it to a script that can process the sending of the form to the server and send this info to your email.

  Check with your hosting company and check the languages side server available to you (usually the PHP). You can then do a search for "form email - this script language" and get hundreds, if not thousands of different versions of the form processing scripts.

  More hosting companies will also have the Basic scripts processing form, you can use, preload to your hosting account. All you have to do is check their support section to find necessary information to add them to your site. It's usually a very simple 1-2-3 her copy / paste into your page - here - installation type.

My site is hosted on GoDaddy - Linux CPanel hosting economy and the php script they have on their server do not work with economy hosting on CPanel.

  Your page uses a 3rd party widget that adds some javascript to try to block the right mouse clicks - which interferes with by clicking on the form in firefox. I suggest you remove this widget or by contacting the promoter to see if they have an updated version that works with the forms of the Muse in firefox.
