• Contact photos not appearing is not in the list of text messages

  Recently, I deleted all my contacts on my droid x in order to refresh my facebook contact photos (I do this since we all know the phone doesn't seem to update the photos themselves, as it should).  After importing my contacts back on my phone and set up my facebook account, once again, I've linked contacts that does not automatically link and now everything seems good.

  Here's where I noticed the problem.  Now pictures of my contacts are not at all in my application of message text (SMS GO).  I checked the application of the default text and they appear in there, but not in GO SMS. So I tried to uninstall GO SMS, wiping the cache on the phone and reinstalling GO SMS, but the images still do not appear.  It just shows the default avatar next to the name.

  Someone at - it suggestions that I could try to get the images to load into GO SMS?

  It's a very good theory.  To test this, you could install an application called SyncMyPix that queries your Facebook account to take photos and make them peak of gmail.  If your text app, then updates that your theory is right.  I hope this helps.

  Most of my Contact photos appear in the headers of Mail message (with "see the pictures" enabled in Mail preferences of course). But some don't and I can't understand why. I tried etc. of closing and opening Mail. There is no reason for this, without rhyme or reason. It is not a big deal, of course, but any ideas would be appreciated. Thank you!   Well, I found the answer, if anyone is interested. You must ensure that a) contact has the same address used in e-mail is not displayed the photo and b) there aren't any other addresses twisted, like two crammed in a single line in the contact card.

  Whenever someone calls me, my phone only shows the number but not the name of the contact. Everyone within a certain time it will display the name of the contact and a facebook photo, as usual.   It could be one of the three solutions... Try these:

  1. make sure that you set your own country code to the Phone Dialer screen > Options > smart dialing.
  Set your country code in this format: "+ xx" where xx = country code. Some countries have two or three-digit country Codes. Do not place not the '+' in the entrance of your contact.
  * In the United States, the value of this country as '+ 1' Code and place your local area code in the appropriate box (this normally the default setting in a new BB).

  2. in the same place, change the length of National number for the number of digits corresponding to your country (since some countries have less than 10 as that set by default in the BB). Check out the total numbers, less country code. Do not place not the '+' in the entrance of your contact.
  * For example, some countries have a total number to 8 (more than 3 for the country code). You must enter '8 '.

  3. you probably have "Content Protection" located on your address book.
  Look at the Options > Security > General settings. Scroll down to the content Protection > include addresses = no

  Yes looks someone concocted the phone. The V190 phone has an antenna and the V191 does not. I noticed you provided a partial IMEI but it wasn't all 15 digits, so I couldn't look up. Given that the two models are listed, you should always be able to use the current version of MPT via the link provided at the bottom of the page banner.

  Regarding the USB cable. Click on the link at the bottom of this thread for the MotoStore and then look the SKN6371 which is a miniUSB cable. I'm sure this is the right cable for your phone to 95%.

  No worries to be a Luddite. Things can be complicated when you have a phone from another region and you are trying to use it where you live. It does not help that the phone has been collected or the other.

  Check the iPhone and Mac use the same service then synchronize Contacts.

  On Mac, including limiting to one account/service.

  There may be problems if the Mac uses iCloud, Google and Yahoo and others all at the same time.

  Most likely this isn't because of two devices sync contact lists.

  I sent a friend request to my friend via my Samsung Galaxy S4 and he agreed. We were chatting by text, and I decided that I was better at typing. I got on my laptop, but when I clicked on Skype (running current version 7, 6) he told me that he wasn't on my contacts. I sent it to him but he never had the request. On his screen, it says that we are friends. On mine, it is not. So the only way for me to talk to him is on my phone, but I'm bad enough to send SMS with precision.

  This was confirmed by @spouse1775: SOLVED! I searched my google contacts for #, & and *.

  It seems that synergy has a problem with the contacts that contain characters such as #, & and *. I don't know that there are others. I don't know if it is only in the name field or other fields in a contact as well, but it is a start.

  Hello Palm, this is a bug. This must be fixed. Contacts should be able to contain these characters.

  ORIGINAL MESSAGE:

  I struggled with this for hours. The new information that I added to a contact on my Palm Pre (my default Google account setup program) do not seem to update my Google matching online contacts. Try to solve the problem, I've completely wiped out my phone and started around. When my account completely downloaded the Google contacts to my pre, I noticed that many of the contacts came down. Whenever I deleted and added the Google account, the same number of contacts came down, always less than the total amount.

  After reading a few posts, I found that others understand that spurious characters in a Google contact cause synchronization problems. So, I exported my Google contacts in Outlook CSV files so Google CSV and imported into a blank Google account. Add each of the new Google account on my Pre came back with a number different contacts downloaded, but always lower total online.

  Finally, I figured out that export a vCard out of Google Contacts "cleaned" information. When I exported all of my Google Contacts vCard file and imported into a blank Google account, Google downloaded on my pre perfectly all the contacts in this new account and synchronization now seems to work again.

  NOTE: the vCard DO NOT maintain the designation of Group contact Google. You need to export a vCard by group and import them into Google by specifying the group in which you want to import the contacts.

  I hope this helps. No need to erase your phone or delete your backup profile.

  1. remove your Google contacts from your Palm Pre app account

  2. sign in to your Google account and access Contacts

  3 export contacts by choosing "Who do you want to export?" and select "vCard file" for "what export format?

  4. save a file of all contacts or a file by group

  5 remove all contacts in your Google account online

  6 import the vCard in your Google account files, assign to the Group during the import phase, if applicable

  7. Add your Google account as an account in the contacts application on your Palm Pre

  got my blackberry a few weeks ago.  He stopped sounds then the put verizon people how far it goes off every night for 5 minutes.  so far no problem. but a few days before, when I send a new SMS, I press the letter of my name of contact and he tells me that he has no contacts that begin w this letter.  It works on some and not on others.  I turned my phone off, took out the battery for a minute and he turned his back.  the same problem.  Anyone know what I do wrong?

  Try this as a troubleshooting effort.

  Opens its contact > Edit > enter its name IN the last name field.

  Now, back to compose SMS....   and press the first letter of his first name. It work?

  You have the 800 number for Lolly entered the 'mobile number' field of his record?

  Go into the Contacts application and ensure that it uses the same account synchronization like the iPhone and other devices you may be using.

  Also check the part of the accounts of the Contacts application preferences and make sure that it's only using one account.

  In the Properties of Contacts window, go to the Customize tab. Here you can choose the type of folder to use for the Windows Contacts. Most likely, it is now changed for all objects, Documents or the music.

  

  Under the text box that says "This file as a template to use", there is a selection area with the elements. Click on it, select Contacts , and then click OK.

• Name of the blackBerry Smartphones Contact does not appear on incoming calls

  When someone in my contacts list calls my BB Bold 9930, I don't see the name of the contact, just the phone number.  However, when my BB is unlocked and someone in my contacts list calls then I see the name associated with the number.  When the phone is locked so I don't see the number.  How I see the name of the appellant for all those who are in my list of contacts even when my phone is locked?  Thanks for any help.

  Remove the protection of the contents of your Contacts list.

  Options > Security > encryption > uncheck include Contacts.
