  Guys pls help me with this.

  I have a 8900, in India and uses the data plan to monitor my personal mail.

  Problem is that 'contacts' shows

  * no contacts *.

  When I go into the options of contacts to the sim phone book (Contacts > sim directory) I can see on 25 contacts. I tried to copy all contacts from the sim directory, but it is not yet appear in contacts (Contacts > sim directory > copy all contacts). When I click this, a status bar goes to 100% in a second, but still show contacts * no contacts *.

  I saved many contacts on this device through the registry of calls and messages, and so when I go on (Contacts > options > contact lists > defauly) the number of entries 320 poster. I noticed it increases as and when I add new contacts.

  Still no contact indicated in "contacts". Therefore have to dial each number of contacts before making a call or the call registry search.

  Can someone help me pls with this. In the meantime if someone could help to let me know how I can make my call register not forget calls to say 10 days or last 100 entries.

  This can be an easy fix. On your BlackBerry go to Contacts, press Menu, and select filter. Make sure that you disable the filters which are placed.

  Hi all

  I am a newbie to BB but recently received for the work.  My problem is trying to transfer the contacts from my old cell phone (Sanyo SCP-7050) on my new Curve 8330.  I took it to my local Sprint store, and they said that contacts can be transferred because the BB was registered on a BES.  The Bluetooth connection no longer works, I guess for the same reason.

  I don't have a chance, or there at - it another way, I can enter my BB contacts?  I have contacts stored as individual card (.vcf) and was hoping there is a way to use the micro SD card to load them on somehow.

  Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

  Hi and welcome to the Forums!

  Since you're on BES, why don't you just DL your vcf to your PC and import them into Outlook? Then BES will be responsible to your BB.

• BlackBerry Smartphones phone froze and got new applications. Help!

  So last night I was trying to open my photos on my bb bold and the phone froze. Nothing would work to return to the home screen or to cancel the operation. I did a battery pull and he left a few minutes... I put the battery back in and waited then that he has started and all of a sudden I have 4 new installed applications and 4 new games demos on my phone. I don't know how they got there and they do not appear in the list of the app. I want to get rid of them, but don't know how. pls help!

  just a update and resolve on this post. I have ATT and they were pushed down by the carrier, what they push down is all the demos and looks like they use the phone like an advertising page. You can delete the service books, but they will be back here next time phone is restarted. I put them all in a folder so I didn't have to deal with them

  I just moved to a new PC (ex: Sony Vaio with win 7 pro, outlook 10 pro > new: duo of vaio from sony with win 8, Outlook 13 home office 365). I used to sync outlook contacts and calendars with blackberry and iphone and ipad on my old laptop using the BlackBerry Desktop Manager.

  Now with my new PC, iphone and ipad are always works well and they synchronize with outlook: new entries on the outlook calendar and new contacts are added to my laptop and vice versa, but when I connect my Blackberry "BOLD" I n get the updates.

  I confirm that I use the latest version of the desktop manager 7.0.

  My organizing Office Manager is configured to sync both calendar and contacts

  Any idea please?

• Contacts from blackBerry Smartphones does not work after software update

  Anyone else having problems with their Contacts button? I installed the updated software version yesterday morning and now whenever I click on Contacts, I get a message saying that "Unfortunately, has stopped Contacts" and the only option I had was to report this to crash the first time; now, I can only choose "OK". I tried to restart my phone, but it did make a difference.

  He worked before that, I only left a micro-SIM with my Z10 to a nano-SIM for the Priv Monday night (4th) and started using it yesterday (5th) whole and I me join and links contacts before this happened.

  Any help would be appreciated.

  Hi everyone, just a quick update: it turns out that it's a problem/bug BlackBerry already know and are trying to solve. There was an update from 01/09/16 for the Contacts app, but it doesn't seem to work when I installed the update. Workaround that I was advised to use in the meantime is as follows:

  • Deselect auto-updated option on Play store -in the game store, tap 3 horizontal lines in the 'search' box to set up your account > settings > auto-update apps > not auto-implementation update app

  • Contacts to revert to the version of factory default - settings > Apps > select Contacts and then:

  1. Click on clear Cache
  2. Press Force
  3. Press on uninstall updates
  4. Press OK when you are prompted to do so

  You have access to the BES. Looks like the [SYNC] maintenance of office address is missing or damaged. If you have access to the BES you can send service directories to devices of the person to see if that fixes the problem.

  If you do not have access to the BES check the following on the BlackBerry. From the device, you can see if the user has the present desktop [SYNC] service book. If they do, try to delete this book and regenerate the encryption key. Then see if the SYNC book returns. If this is not the case, go back to the screen Service Book and do a restore. Anyway the book Desktop [SYNC] will come back. After that did see if wireless synchronization is located in the options of the address book with a value set to Yes.

  I just bought the 8320 and I have no idea on how to synchronize my contacts to my pc? Also how to change your background? I have wifi at my house and I can't conect with it? It has a password, but I can't connect to give the password for wifi to use on my phone. So far I'm frustrsted. Someone please help. I went from the iphone, and so far it seems to complicated for me.   For you synchronize contacts, you will need to install BlackBerry Desktop Manager on your PC, and then set up to sync with outlook or outlook express.

  to change your wallpaper, get a photo on your device, open, media icon goto photos, find the image you want, click on the BlackBerry button (left of the trackball) and click on set as wallpaper.

  For the WIFI, you must know the network name and password before we do even a connection attempt.

  Find the icon manage connections, go and turn on the WIFI, then you will be able to connect to a WIFI network. Let the autoscan, the name of your network and connect, it will ask for the password, put it in and save it.

  New to Blackberry, but I'm pretty sure when I sync all initially had my Outlook contacts and then displays my contact list and rolled on a name, only phone numbers contacts appear as contacts.  Then I could roll the correct number and dial by pressing the trackball.

  Now, I get no display of phone numbers that I ride on a contact name in the contacts list.  I have to press the trackball or enter key to view info contact set and then select the phone number.

  Have I have big fingers tweaks without knowing?  I have read the manual and searched the web and can't find any arrangement which would alter the display of the list of contacts.  Maybe I just imagined?

  Workaround.  The Act of rolling the trackball on the name of the contact and see the phone numbers of the contacts under the name apparently only works when you use the function of name search from the home screen, and not in the contacts list.

  No need to practice!

  My client has a blackberry 9810 and for some reason some may see his contacts in his favorites or recent but cannot see them when you look at all THE contacts.

  With regard to the Favorites, recent and all, are you referring to the different screens and cannot find the app on the screen of all? If Yes, then it is probably the contacts app icon is hidden, in a folder, or a folder and hidden. The value show all to show the hidden icons and then look on hand than the entire screen and in all folders.

  You can import excel to Outlook, for a single method, and synchronize your Outlook file using the BlackBerry Desktop Manager.

  Another is to export the Excel file to an ASCII text file and then import it directly (without Outlook) using the Desktop Manager.

  I just got a replacement delivered unit and had to restore my previous unit.

  I backed up all my contacts so that I can transfer them to my new phone.

  Connect my phone to the Desktop Manager I learned information transfer from one device to another message. However, in then asks me to connect the previous device which I can't do what my network provider took.

  Can someone please advise on how I can transfer the data backup on my new phone please.
