Controller of platform Services

We have upgraded to ESXi 6.0 in two data centers and try to set up the vReplication between the two sites and get the error "unable to connect to the controller of services platform.

Thoughts?

Thank you

Dave

Yes, we have vCenters in the environment. After many long hours working on this point, with the help of the media, we were informed that vReplication does not work in 6.0. They are working on a fix. We are now in the process of downgrading to 5.5 (or perhaps even to 5.1) in order to get the vReplication working again. Once VMware fixes the problem of 6.0, we will try upgrading to 6.

Very frustrating.

    Hi heat110,

-What is the brand and model of the router you are using?

-You "Network Magic" software installed on your computer?

Method 1: As a first step, try to restart the service of Pure platform of networks on your computer.

Follow these steps to do the same thing:

    a. Click Start. Click run. Type Services.msc and press ENTER.

    (b) in the Services window, search for Pure Networks Platform service.

    c. right-click on the service and click on restart.

    d. restart the computer and check if you have got rid of the error message.

Method 2: Uninstall Network Magic software and then re - install the software by downloading from the website of the manufacturer if necessary.

    Hi KyleWilliams30655,

You can follow this link & check if the problem persists:

"The Pure Networks Platform Service is not running"

However, skip the step 1 from the above link instead of as uninstall the following software from Add / Remove Programs:

    Cisco Network Magic

    Network Magic

    Pure Networks platform

    Speed meter Pro

    Hope the helps of information.

  • the pure networks platform service is not running

You (or did you) a version of Network Magic installed?  Generally, the complete message would be:

The Pure Networks Platform Service is not running
Pure Networks Platform Service must run in order for Network Magic to function. If you have manually stopped or disabled the Pure Network Platform service, restart now.

See this FAQ: http://www.purenetworks.com/support/faq/195.html (the site can be slow to load)

The Microsoft Windows Installer Cleanup utility is no longer available from Microsoft, apparently because it sometimes more removed he was supposed to.  You can always get it, however, here: http://majorgeeks.com/Windows_Installer_CleanUp_Utility_d4459.html

If you use the Windows Installer Cleanup utility, make a first Restore Point (or back up the registry with C:\windows\erunt).

If you feel uncomfortable using CIP, download and use For free Revo Uninstaller to uninstall the same applications listed in the FAQ

Personally, I'd skip step 3 "download Network Magic."  There is really no need for this application and, as you saw, it can cause problems.

  • Problem detection network with Network Magic/Pure platform Service quirks and WUSB54GC

    SYSTEM & HARDWARE INFO:

    Wireless adapter: USB54GC v3

Drivers: Latest from Linksys site (v4.9.90 setup.exe download)
Programs of security software: Comodo & Panda Cloud Antivirus Firewall
Configs of security software: uninstalled, installed or disabled, and installed/enabled

    DETAILS OF THE PROBLEMS:

No wireless network is detected on the computer with the installed adapter WUSB54GC.  Cell phones, printer (located in the same office) and game console, receive positive signals / have no connectivity problem.  With a new installation of Windows (i.e. the BONES cost installation before using each method) I tried to install the unit using the following methods: 1) using the Setup program on the CD-ROM included, 2) using the last program (drivers) site Web of Linksys, install 3) manually through the device with drivers from the Disk Manager and installing 4) manually through the Device Manager with the newer drivers from the Web site Linksys.  In addition, I tried with the firewall disabled/uninstalled software.

I had some success using the Linksys Wireless Manager program that is included in the installation program.  However, it is only if I choose the option 'connect to the hidden network' when the Wireless Manager is ran in the last step of the Installer (no network is detected the case).  The quirks are that the network is not hidden, and after Setup is complete, I can see all the wireless LANs with the Linksys Wireless Manager (no need to check the option hidden network).  After a few diagnostic tests, I think that the Network Magic software that is installed in quiet mode with the Linksys software is at the origin of the problem.

During the detailed above method that allowed me to connect to the network, I used the firewall software to observe that connectivity can be established only if nmsrvc.exe, a component of the network Network Magic/pure software platform that is installed silently, is allowed access to the network.  After this program to access the Linksys Wireless Manager network can detect networks normally and connectivity problems disappeared.  After he logged initially I can even kill the process, its assistance process and the program manager wireless, still maintain connectivity.  I also thought about this magic (AKA pure networks platform service) network installation two other network protocols that when disabled preventing connectivity.  With certainty the adapter only works if I finish the complete installation program by using the hidden network option and continue to use linksys wireless/network magic software later.

I'm trying to understand why the Network Magic software is necessary to detect and use all networks.  As I said originally, I tried just to install the drivers through the device without success Manager.  The adapter is configured on a machine Pentium 4 of 2001, and this software supports 40 MB of precious CPU cycles and memory.  I want to connect to my wireless network and use the computer without software bloated slow down the computer even more.  My own conclusion, after all these tests are that my router needs the network magic to work properly for some reason, but if that's true, I would at least use Windows connects to the network as Linksys Wireless Manager uses 30MB RAM itself.  Of course, it's more a problem advanced if I appreciate anyone who takes the time to read all this and make their contribution.  Thank you.

I think that the most appropriate statement would be that the WUSB54GC has some compatibility issues with Windows XP SP3.

Specifying the age of the available Linksys drivers I did some research and discovered that the WUSB54GCv3 uses a third party (a common practice), the Ralink RT2800UD chipset.  Latest Ralink drivers for this chipset are over a year newer than the official drivers from Linksys.  They require just a few reconfiguration so that they work with Linksys WUSB54GCv3.  With the updated drivers comes better compatibility and performance often.

Once I installed these drivers updated the device could detect local wireless normally, and I was able to use the Zero Windows wireless utility to connect to my network.  I think that others with similar compatibility problems will have the same result.  For more information and links to these pilots updated already visit reconfigured: http://sites.google.com/site/linksysupdateddrivers/.  There are not official, updated drivers for many other Linksys products here.  Credit for the drivers and the Web site goes to this person: http://sites.google.com/site/linksysupdateddrivers/about.

    Hello
In solaris you shouldn't need to run as root.

See http://support.hyperic.com/display/DOC/Troubleshoot+Agent+Problems, the section titled "set up account privileges under Solaris 10 Agent"

The solution is based on the ppriv command.

    # 2, not sure, it could be a mistake of sigar.  Try your query ptql in a shell of sigar and see what it is.

I checked to see if it has been listed in the services, but find no entry >?

  • Abstract WSDL for the remote Web (outside of the SOA platform) service?

    Hello

I use a remote Web service which is based WSDL. I noticed in our development environment that when the server restarts if remote WSDL endpoint is not available, my composite goes into invalid state, even if the actual WSDL file is located in the project.

I use MDS to another inter composite dependencies, but this service is outside of the SOA platform, so how can I create an abstract WSDL and use it via MDS to avoid invalid state?

Currently I have the WSDL of localized real distance and a wrapper WSDL generated external Web service framework.

    Thank you.

    Hello

If the wsdl file has been copied to the project, it shouldn't go invalid, check if there are imports in the wsdl file that may be pointing to remote, as sites of patterns... You will need to locate those as well...

    See you soon,.

  • PXI-1042 q with controller 8331

    HI........

I want to configure a single chassis PXI-1042 q with controller PXI-8331. I have connected 2 I\O Digital Digital card (PXI-6515) and 1 card(PXI-6514) I\O to this chassis. And I have connected this chassis to my PC with the serial cable (OR standard cable on COM 1) on my PC. But the problem is when I opened and Measurment Automation explore it dose not detect chassi eithre or any card I\O.

I installed OR version 4.6.1 platform services.

An obsrevation is led RX ON Chassi and dose led TX ON PC does not illuminate.

Please guide me step by step configuration.

    Thank you

    Pravin.

    PBL,

The PXI-8331 is not a serial interface, even if the connector looks like it, so it should not be connected to COM1.  It works when it is connected to a PCI-8331 in your host PC.  The cable must be a MXI-4 cable, for example 190957-03, not a cable series.

If that's what you do, please report the LEDs on the two cards.

  • How to replicate between two controllers on duty of platform?

How to replicate between two controllers on duty of platform?  I saw a preview that says I'm going to need a balancer at the front, but what I need to do to replicate two of the PSC?  I looked in the PSC and don't see any option.  If I posted this in the wrong place, please let me know.  I couldn't find a better place.

    Thank you

    Jamey

The PSC will replicate them automatically when the second PSC is deployed and pointed the first during the Setup Wizard.

"When you choose to join a vCenter Single Sign-On existing domain, you enable Mode Linked improved feature. "Your Platform Services controller will replicate with the server for Single Sign-On joined vCenter infrastructure data", of the Center of Documentation of vSphere 6.0

In addition, you don't HAVE to have a load balancer to have two external PSC in many places. This is a good option, but is not a must.

  • grant the role of service to service user service tenant: failed when you try to deploy VIO

    Hello

I have problems when you try to deploy VIO with integration of ads.  I am able to successfully deploy Violence without AD as an authentication source.  However, when I try to deploy VIO with AD as the source of authentication right about 85%, I get an error in the /var/log/jarvis/ansible.log:

    > > 2016-04-14 17:29:15, 154 p = 354 u = jarvis |  FATAL: all hosts have already failed - abandonment

I tried Googling this error and was brought to this thread: problem of Installation of VIO - status: Bootstrap failed controller node but he is actually getting an LDAP error that I'm not.

This thread suggest you check the log of the key, but there is not keystone on my VIO Device directory:

    > > root@localhost:~# ls/var/log/keystone

    > > ls: cannot access/var/log/keystone: no such file or directory

    So I'm puzzled.

This ended up being a bad configuration of the options of the AD.
