  In fact, one of my clients has two Cisco 5508 wireless LAN controllers installed in a site and back up and running now. one of them running software version 7.4 and the other running software version 7.6.   It seems that 2, 80 - WIN BIOS is the latest available version, even though it was released in 2012.

  As you probably know, the BIOS isn't a party that will be updated and maintained on a regular basis. If everything is OK, the BIOS didn't need updates.

  Also other software or drivers Toshiba would be updated by Toshiba in case something would be wrong
  As you know, Toshiba released many series of the laptop. A lot of the new laptop series supports the same pieces of equipment such as Intel, modules Wlan chipset or graphics cards.

  Drivers released for these units can be used also in your laptop. Of only if course your device supports the same pieces of equipment.

  I have a Fujitsu 6130 document scanner.
  Whenever I plug it into another port USB rather than using the existing device it creates a new device named fi6130 #2, fi6130 #3, fi6130 #4 etc...
  I said it of a unique problem for XP and does not occur in Win7 but looking for a tech article or any workaround to preserve this devices called fi6130.

• * USB ports and my printer problems

  My laptop is Windows Xp edition sp2 family.

  My old HP laptop computer of 4 years has 4 USB ports. Unfortunately, 3 of the 4 ports broke physically, so I only have a single functional port.

  A port that works cost of my cell. So I know it works. But now, only 40% of the time it will print when I plug my 750 HP printer all in one in it.

  Otherwise, it will display a "?" on the printer in the taskbar icon. Once, I unplugged the USB cable and plugged into the broken USB port holding it still and it actually print my papers.  But as I said I have been lucky that day cause these 3 ports are broken.

  What can I do to make the only port 1 have, can work for all devices I. It seems not only act with the printer.

  In addition, supplants ports broken something painful, costly or difficult to do? I know it can vary depending on the brand of the phone... But overall, it might be an easy solution?

• USB port not recognize mice and other devices.

  I have a logitech wireless mouse who worked on my computer (Fujitsu A6220) for 2.5 years, but now device for ports management USB says that it does not recognize the device.  I travel and a few times I returned from a trip and trendy and it worked for a few days.  I have the same problem with my printer and an external drive connected to the USB ports.  I also tried a USB mouse that is not wireless and same problem.  The mouse works on other computers.  I tried the update of drivers and get a response the the best driver is already installed.

I heard that before installing Windows to new SSD, I should change the settings in the BIOS to AHCI on my hard drive. Now, my problem is that I can't find it in the BIOS. Where can it be found and may have changed?

  There is no BIOS settings to change the speed controller in the HP consumer notebooks.  Professional laptops there are select this option.

  I looked at the specs of product for your laptop and I see that it is (or can be) with two hard drives.

  So, we need to understand what is the setting of the default disk controller, which is pretty easy to do.

  I can tell you that it is set to AHCI or RAID (since your PC has two hard disks, it might be on the RAID).

  Here's a simple way to check...

  Go to Device Manager, expand the IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers section and make a note of the name of speed control.   If the AHCI BIOS of your laptop drive controller value, you will see the name of the variable speed drive listed as an Intel(r) ICH9M-E/M SATA AHCI Controller.

  If you don't see this controller to this article name, the BIOS of your laptop is on RAID.

  You can confirm that glancing down the list topics in device in Device Manager and you will arrive on a section of storage controllers. Click to expand, and you will see the Intel (r) Mobile Express Chipset SATA RAID Controller.

  It is my understanding that RAID is roughly the same as AHCI and if you download and install the latest driver Intel RST, that will support the TOPPING of SSD features.

  I have one server PowerEdge T330 with 8 slots of disc and have currently 3 SATA drives running a raid 5 configuration.  I have a virtual disk configured for Raid (must).

  The operating system recognizes the disk and is able to use the resources...

  My desire is to add another hard drive to the table (hard disks of the same size, same brand, etc.) with 4 disks without losing any data.

  I looked in the settings of the iDrac and the only adjustment was to add the new disk as a global hot spare or a hot spare dedicated to the virtual drive.

  I also looked in the BIOS and do not see a way to add the new drive.

  Does anyone know how to increase capacity?  I can blow the virtual drive if necessary and start over without problem.  I intend to gradually accomplish this Act until adding 8 disks. (5 times).

  Management controllers RAID and tables is not made in the BIOS iDRAC or systems. For the management of the RAID (virtual disks) arrays, you have OpenManage Server Administrator (OMSA). • Audio problem and possible solution, probook 4530 s, Windows 7 64 bit

  Here is my variation on the theme "no audio".

  This laptop was purchased in early July 2012 has worked well for a few days, then there was no audio output at all - no speakers or headphones via browser, iTunes or any other application.  In Device Manager, I noticed there are two separate features in the 'audio controllers, video and game.  We're "IDT high definition audio CODEC" and the other is simply "high definition Audio Device."

  I searched this forum and tried many suggestions, including the update of the BIOS, driver uninstall/re-install and restore drivers - no luck.  Sometimes I'd get audio, sometimes not.  Now I have disabled the "high definition Audio Device" and this seems to have solved the problem.  I was doing an audio output for the last 24 hours, even after sleep and restarts.

  My question is this: can I just uninstall the "high definition Audio Device?"   This seems to be the origin of the conflict.
