  I have searched and tried all the suggestions from Google, but they are not the solutions that I can use. I have the entire Outlook Express .dbx folder just 2 files. I need to convert .pst or at least be able to import them into Outlook 2007. I was able to recover only 2 files .dbx from the old computer and am running WIndows 7 Professional with Outlook 2007 on the new computer that I want to get the 2 .dbx files in. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

  Note that I've never used Outlook or a converter, it's just a guess. When you use OE, you could drag a folder in OE messages in a Windows folder on the desktop. You can then copy this folder on another machine, open it, highlight all messages and drag them into a folder in OE. Or drag them to a folder in Windows Live Mail. I guess if you got messages as eml, you could drag them into an Outlook folder as well.

• How to fix a corrupted .pst file

  original title: corrupted PSt file and I've tried everything I know of...

  Vista and Outlook 2007.

  I opened outlook a few days ago and received the error msg telling you that the .pst file is damaged and you need to run the Inbox Repair tool.  When I clicked 'OK' she keeps just for Outlook.  I tried the tool and could not find even with checked hidden files.  I stumbled upon a 3rd party recovery tool and he ran b/c it is 'free '.  I was joking b/c they wanted $130 after getting all my files and I don't know actually, they recovered their.  I then tried to find scanpst.exe on my installation diskettes file, but I have not found them.  Then I downloaded the scanpst.exe online file and tried to run.  I get an error message immediately and it won't work.  I looked at hundreds of forums and posts, and nothing works.

  If you have Outlook installed on the same computer as the OE, the best way is to use the file | Export | OE messages and it will export in Outlook.  You can also import from Outlook, but some have reported that he is not 100% successful.  I don't know of any program that will convert dbx to pst - my DBXpress program (www.oehelp.com/DBXpress/) will extract messages from dbx files as Outlook eml files can then import.

  The best way is to redirect your. OST /. PST file in the network or the user's home directory. (so if possible, try to find out why Outlook ignores your redirection)

  Laptop with Inbox.dbx corrupted. Freezes most of the features on laptop to go into OE.  Renamed folder Outlook express to Outlook Express1. Reopened OE and it has created new folders and Inbox... No questions or shutdowns. Renamed the new file dbx Inbox as dbx1 copied the original dbx file to the new location... Lock of the same question.  Now I want to watch third tool third to try to convert the old dbx file to pst or recover emails to the new location of the Inbox.  All of the suggestions.  I am looking for a free tool that allows for more 5 messages to convert at a time.

  If you have installed on an XP Outlook computer, import the .pst data into Outlook Express, copy the .wab file and the .dbx files to the Vista computer and import into Windows Mail.
