Converted to new DOCSIS 3.0 modem and my MN-700 router is slowing down my download speed of 2/3, same if wired?

I'm glad my MN-700 and will not change if don't have to.

I recently changed my modem (Motorola SB6120) with DOCSIS 3.0 technology (Comcast).

When go directly from modem to pc = 35 Mbps download speed when the download speed of the modem to MN-700 electrician and electrician from router to pc = 12 Mbps? Is there a setting I need to change on the base station to make sure that the router does not lose speed?

Thank you for your help.

  • Hi __My download speed is slow going as 5/kbps and when I'm in line to make a download speed test it says I should do around 5/Mbps! I don't understand why it's going so slow.

If there is any advice you can give me would be much appreciated. Thank you!!!

    1. turn on the cable/dsl modem and router (if you have a router).

    a. disconnect the modem.
    b. unplug the router.
    c. wait 30 seconds.
    d. reconnect the modem - wait until all the lights came and how they should be.
    e. connect the router.

Test now. If still slow, test with another computer if possible. If the other computer is too slow, call your Internet service provider. If the other computer is fast, but your computer is slow, you know that the problem is on your local computer.

  • LRT224 and WAP801N of TP - Link point of access - low download speed

I just installed a LRT224 for the use of two ISP connections, one is a modem connection cable with 75 Mbit/s and the other a connection ADSL 4 Mbit/s in download. It is reserved for the failover.

For the WLAN access point, I use a WA801N of TP-link v2 with the latest firmware.

When I connect this access point WA801N directly to the cable modem, I get about 75 Mbps of download speed.

What is the case, when I use a LAN cable to connect to the LRT224, which includes 75 Mbps.

But when I connect the WA801n to one of the LRT224 LAN ports, the download speed drops to about 10 Mbps.

The LRT224 is configured to function as a DHCP server for my LAN, all devices get their IP by DHCP to the 192.168.2.x row address. The main WAN connection is configured to use addresses 192.168.0.x, the other WAN connection to use 192.168.1.x.

Everyone knows about similar problems using a WIFI (b/g/n) access point?

    Thanks for any help.

Okay, I think that the question is the access point.

Y at - there someone who can help me?

    Hey,.

Have you already checked the download speed and upload using another computer or laptop?

I'm not sure, but I could imagine the problem is caused by the functionality of your energy saving wireless network card. You can change this in Windows power management. I recommend you to disable the saving of the WLAN card to improve performance.
Here is a guide that is interesting how to manage power management features:

I've updated all the drivers available for windows 10 and I'm still only move 4 Mbps in download speed. I think that there may be some sort of software hidden on the laptop that is limiting the speed of dowload it is for a reason any.

  • I got a new modem and the router and now I can't print wireless.

I have a Photosmart 8450 printer.  My operating system is Windows7.  I tried to follow the Scan doctor, but I guess I'm not tech savy enough to understand.  It worked fine before the new modem and the router.  She is 'offline' and I can't understand how to put line.  Thanks for any help and easy enough for me to follow.

    Hello raedene715.

Thanks for the transcript, it was useful.

Please, check the network cables and connections (side of the printer and router). If possible, try a different network cable.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600: I got a new modem and the router. I uninstalled the HP software, but wizzard wireless configuration is locked.

I uninstalled the software so I could start over.  Configuration Wizzard is locked and I can not understand how to get unlock.

    Hi @bobbalou,

Thank you for visiting the Forums of HP Support for a solution to your printer problem.

I understand that you replaced your modem and router, but could not connect your HP Officejet Pro 8600 e-all-in-one printer to the new network, because the wireless configuration wizard is locked. I would like to help with that.

Try to restore the default network before attempting to run the Wireless Setup Wizard.

    1. on the touch screen of the printer, press the right arrow to display the second navigation screen.

    2. press on the installation program icon.

    3. tap network, then press the default network.

If you are able to restore the default settings of the network is should allow you to run the Wireless Setup Wizard.

If you're locked up because he had a password set in place on the printer, you will need the password to access the server (EWS) of embedded printer online web to change the settings of the printer.

Please let me know if that solves the problem, or if you need assistance.

    Hi all!

I can't understand what is the problem with my Satellite A200 (PSAE3)... I downloaded all the files on the right of the Toshiba Download Center, updated the BIOS to WXP but XP still not find any sound card or any modem. He isn't finding a device with a "?" question mark on this...

There are so many different drives, I tried, but no one has changed the situation...
    Anyone has any advice?

    Thanks in advance,

Well, I found the solution to the problem! :)

so, I write these verses down for anyone who might know the same problems:

as usual, strictly follow the 'Toshiba A200 Installation sequence' found on the TOshiba driver download page.
as he [I jumped no useful installation programs]

I advice restart you each time you install a component, in order to have under control the whole Exchange.

    1 Windows XP Service Pack2 (RTM) - of course ;) -.

    12 Intel ICH8M Chipset utility V8.2.0.1014
    13 Intel VGA driver 6.14.10.4833 965GM

Note that driver VGA, the ATI we too, was also a difficulty - in fact, I don't know what it would have done - for the AUDIO sound card.
You may have read in the installation dialog box.

Moreover, I do not know if you must install the sun java, .NET framework and WMP version that displays the list, versions that are OLDER than the most recent, but just to be sure, download the form versions THAT NET.

at this point, you should see "unknown PCI device" in the unknown devices in the system control panel.

    14 Realtek ALC268 Audio Driver V5.10.0.5433

for realtek, I suggest you download the driver from the zip from the realtek download page; Once extracted from the latest version for desktop or a temp directory, I suggest to install before all the patch KB888111 you might find in the \WDM_Rxxx\MSHDQFE.

    then restart.

for now, you should not see the "unknown PCI device" no more where it was before, but under the "system devices", like her, where you could also end the "Intel PCI Express Root Port", "Pci Bus" and so on [ja? m saying this to you because ja? m Italian aid of XP, and I don't remember the exact English names...].

Now, install the audio drivers by using the setup.exe that you find in the \WDM_Rxxx directory.
It should reinstall the kbfix and install the new drivers.

    Reset.

After the reboot, nothing happens, but...

.. see the "unknown pci device" menu - here? m not sure the name but the one with the exclamation mark in the 'system devices' - select 'Properties' and then 'driver' and 'update driver'. Let XP find the NOT on the net. tell XP to look for "Video and Audio Controller, game" [you know, the English entry that usually stands for device audio and similar] and he must find a CORRESPONDING driver, which is the "MICROSOFT UAA BUS DRIVER for HIGH DEFINITION AUDIO".
If XP don't select this driver by itself, you should look for "\windows\system32\DRIVERS\hdaudbus.sys".

After that, XP automatically detects ALL audio devices and install the correct drivers.
In addition, it now the entrance to the modem, modem to install the separate driver, that we could find in down in the "list system", like her, on the Toshiba download page.

    So, hope this helps!

    See you soon,.

  • Satellite L40 USB, wireless, modem, and its failure

I'm trying to solve a Toshiba Satellite L40 and ask yourself how I diagnose a hardware failure.
Problem is that the free wireless and sound had stopped working and it would freeze whenever a USB device has been inserted.

Decided to do the new install of XP, but it failed each time to 34 minutes.
I've suspected of hardware failure as well as a USB was curved touching another PIN to cause a short circuit.
Bent it back but install still failed at 34 minutes.

Remove the wireless card, always not so I removed the modem and it went through without error.
Installation of two causes fall in XP install.
Have installed all the latest drivers and even flashed the BIOS, however, still have the following problems:
Insertion of a USB device causes yet portable no freeze, no sound and wireless / modem not picked up by windows during the installation after the installation.

    Shows Device Manager:
1 exclamation point on "Microsoft UAA bus driver for High Def Audio"
2 "unknown device" in the USB controllers but not exclamation mark - peripheral USB not connected.

It is possible that the 'short' USB has damaged a controller on the motherboard is causing the failure of these devices?

    Any help would be appreciated

    > 1. Exclamation point on "Microsoft UAA bus driver for High Def Audio"
Win Xp requires the Sp2 and Sp3.
Patches are part of service packs and are necessary for its work.

    Here's an interesting thread:

    > 2. "Unknown device" in USB controllers but no exclamation point - USB devices not plugged in.
The internal webcam is connected to the USB controller then perhaps, you add the webcam software.
Otherwise this could have something to do with the USB port defective

  • WNR3500L model after a power cut my modem and router stopped working.

I tried to unplug and leave for 30 minutes and plugged back but nothing has worked. Does anyone know what I need to do?

What are the symptoms that you get from the router? In the case the modem and the router something might have gotten fried. I would try different adapters on both hoping that power adapters are those who got fried. If you still have the same results its probably time to get the router and the new modem. Let us know what happens.

HDAudio Soft Data FAX Modem With Smart CP

I downloaded driver for audion with the name following (ConexantHDAudio 221_XP.zip), but when I install this driver there is an error message that no audio device is set by your system.

Please help me to install audio

The right question is known, for me, the installation of patches from Microsoft:
    * KB888111 and KB835221 * is the key!

    First install the two patches.

Then restart the laptop and access the Device Manager. There you should find one or two markets PCI device with the yellow exclamation point.
You must remove these devices and should restart the machine.

Then the operating system should recognize a new device and should ask the driver.
Then, you install the Realtek audio driver.

Regarding the modem driver. Well, just check the modem drivers for another maybe series laptop, it works also.

    Good bye

  • Change of Modem and WRT54GL quit unexpectedly from Internet

I've got a WRT54GL powered by a Motorola 5101 cable modem that has worked well for years.  Today, I replaced the 5101 with a very modem provided by Charter mastering DOCIS 3.0, which resulted in a loss of internet connection.  The modem works when connected directly to the computer and the router also function as before except the two do not play well together.  I don't know if there is a problem with the DOCSIS 3.0 standard and the WRT54 or what.  The router firmware is very old - something in 2006 so I don't know if that has anything to do with it.  Recommendations or suggestions are sought after.  Thank you

No confusion, quite clear.  Thanks Pepper_mint.
