copy my home dvd on my laptop

I made a movie of my dance group, put it on a DVD. Now, I want to put in a file on my laptop. Windows Media Center can't even see my DVD. Quikplay, ad it will play, but I can't understand how to record on the laptop. Can someone help me?

I should add that my friend did the dvd on his computer... got it, now I would like to put on my laptop...

=====================================
When you insert the DVD in your DVD player... close
all the windows that can open and then go to... Start /.
Computer... right click the icon for the DVD player
is in, and then select Explorer to view the directory of
the DVD...

The files you need from the DVD are the. VOB files.
You will find them in the VIDEO_TS folder. You can
Copy the entire folder to a VIDEO_TS folder on
your hard drive.

If you want to play the. VOB in Windows Media files
Player... try to rename them. MI/GAL.

  • Re: Satellite C660D-102 - how to copy Windows on DVD?

Hello people. I bought a new Toshiba Satellite C660D-102.

The seller told me to copy Windows on DVD soon to open the laptop. Don't know where to take the Windows installation files. You have encountered this problem? How can I solve this problem.

    Hey,.

I think that the seller meant to create the Toshiba recovery disc that contains a picture of the factory settings. In the case where you can start t more Windows or the drive HARD must be replaced, you can use this disk to restore Windows with all the drivers and tools. With other words, you get factory settings back, the same settings as you bought the laptop so it of very useful and easy.

You can create this disk if you start creative media recovery Toshiba which is preinstalled on your computer. According to the installation, you need certain blank DVD media. I recommend high-quality mediums, type: DVD-R from Verbatim or TDK. They work well and others here can recommend them also.

Last but not least, you should also read your user manual. It contains interesting information on this subject and other interesting things. It s also preinstalled on your laptop. :)

But it s really great, the seller gave you an indication in this regard. If you check the other forum discussions you will read a lot others that they forget to create this disc and are not able to restore the factory settings if Windows could not start.

Thanks for posting in the Microsoft Community. Sounds like you're trying to rip a dvd, try these methods and check:

    1. what exactly are you trying to transfer/download /rip?

    2. What is the format of the file?

It is also not possible to extract a video file to a DVD using the player. You must use a program designed to legally copy video files from a DVD to a computer.

You can use Windows Media Player to copy songs from an audio CD on the computer. This process is called extraction.

During the extraction process, the reader makes a copy of each song, stores it on your hard drive as a file Windows Media Audio (WMA) or MP3 compressed and then add it to your library.

  • I can't play DVDs in Windows Media Player 12 on Windows 7 Pro and get this error msg: Windows Media Player cannot play this DVD because there is a problem with the digital copy between your DVD drive decoder and video card protection.

Hello, thanks for reading and helping me.

I try to play a legitimate, belonging to DVD, but Windows Media Player 12 will not play on my computer Windows 7 Professional.  The DVD worked a few days ago, but all of a sudden, I get the following error message:

"Windows Media Player cannot play this DVD because there is a problem with the digital copy between your DVD player and the video card protection decoder. Try to install a driver available for your video card.

I did a lot of research of these forums and on the ' net.  Here are the suggested steps I tried without success:

    • I tried VLC player.  This works.  However, rather than use this workaround, I wish to find a solution to my problem WMP/WMC.
    • I tried several DVD for years over the last decade.  These DVD works on my laptop, also running Windows 7 Professional and the shark 007 codec.
    • I uninstalled my Shark 007 codec
    • I tried other codecs (K-Lite)
    • I assured that the latest drivers are installed on my video card, XFX ATI Radeon 5850
    • I tried to uninstall Nero 9
    • I tried to use the Windows 7 troubleshooting options:
    • > Reading and burning CD, DVD and Blu - ray (no problem)
    • > Windows Media Player DVD (no problem)
    • > Windows Media Player Settings (detects a problem, wants to restore factory settings, every time, no matter what happens)
    • A system restore to a time when the DVD was working did not resolve the issue
    • The different links in Microsoft, I found in this forum about this problem do not seem to be useful.  There is a link that points to the set-top boxes, but this page just says: "Windows 7 comes with a decoder.
    • I assured the latest driver is available by going to "Device Manager", right click on the drive, then click on "update driver software".
    • I assured that the latest firmware is installed directly from the manufacturer's website.
    • I tried to reset my DRM by renaming the DRM under C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows folder and by going to this Web site to upgrade:http://drmlicense.one.microsoft.com/Indivsite/en/indivit.asp?force=1
    • I've uninstalled and reinstalled Windows Media Player 12 and Windows Media Center via the function "functionality in Windows.

I would be very grateful if a Microsoft technology could chime.  Thanks for your help!

A couple of days, I downloaded a purple ultra movie now when I try to play a dvd, I get an error message indicating there is a problem with the digital copy between my dvd player, decoder, and video card protection. She also tell me to install a driver for my graphic card updated.  How and where can I get a driver and what happens to the driver, I got? I am confused on this one.

    Hello

You have a few options as I see it please find the steps and the Web link below might help you solve your problem on your device.

    (1) try to do a system restore to this day where unit was working fine.

    (2) dependencies, try the link given below if the restore does not resolve your problem.

My laptop is Pressario V2000. My laptop does not read the dvd, but another laptop reads the same dvd. PL is the solution. Thank you

Try another DVD to verify that your laptop can read at least the other DVD.  If he can't play other DVD's then you need to replace the DVD - CD ROM drive supplied with your Pressario.

Another thing you can try is to check fingerprints or scratches on the DVD, some DVD players are more sensitive than others.
