I have about 2 GB ready to be burned onto a dvd and I got a file over to burn was that of 600 MB should adjustment no problem at all but for some reason, vista tells me my dvd is full makes no sence so I burned dvd and went to my next dvd using the 600 MB file and it let me fill the full capacity of 4.7 GB dvd does vista sometimes to put a ghost or sometihng file that won't allow me to fill the disc ive met this problem once before and this is no his almost random logic
Hi cocknballs4u,
Try to copy the files in one shot and check if you still get the error message.
Given that the issue occurs at random times, I suggest that you can delete the temporary files that are created by the burning.Navigate to the following location and delete them all the files in the temporary folder burn.
Burn \appdata\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Burn\Temporary file C:\Users\Then delete temporary files on the computer.

Equium A200-1V0: DVD-RAM UJ-850 s does not read data discs
My laptop seems to have decided to stop reading data disks.
However, there is no problem with the audio CD, but when I insert a data disc such as the software considers the disk is empty and try to format the drive.
I searched internet day for solutions and tried without success to the following:Removed the UpperFilters and LowerFilters in the registry.
Uninstalled and reinstalled drivers.
Bought DriverWhiz (waste of money!)
Tried to access disc command prompt that generated the message "incorrect function".
Tried to use the enforcement function and access an exe file that I know is on the disk, but it comes up saying I need to format the drive
Uninstall service packs
I even thought it might be something to do with the MagicVirtual drive I had installed so I uninstalled completely which
I uninstalled real playerI'm about 3 minutes to destroy my laptop so any help would be appreciated.

Yesterday, I used my laptop Toshiba Satellite update of data on an excel spreadsheet on my dvd - r disc, which is half full of files such as spreadsheets, assorted images and backup files. Today, when I insert the disk into the pc it still shows 2.43 free 4.37 GB has been the norm, which means that it contains these files. But when I open the drive there is nothing else that a message "drag files in this folder to add To Disc". I don't know what happened. I had just copied various basis files that I mentioned on this drive months ago without any problems. I've updated excel spreadsheet monthly with no problem. I checked the other drives I have and they are very good. Any help would be appreciated.
Hi Mark,
Thank you for your update on the issue.

DVD-R discs play only on internal burner/reader of DVD that was used to create the disc?
Hello
This is the DVD-R that I created will not play on my Player DVD TV Philips standard or any other DVD player other than the one used to create the floppy disks? I tried to lower the record speed of Windows DVD Maker, Cyberlink Power Director, and Nero 11 and all have the same issue? I can only read my disks on HP laptop DVD drive? The discs I used are:
Philips DVD - R 4.7 GB 1-16 X
Memorex DVD - R 4.7 GB 16 XMy old Windows XP machine has no problems burning these discs and they play back well on Player DVD TV Philips and all players with my friends.
This problem is driving me crazy! This is a 1 year HP Pavilion dv9000 with built in DVD/Blue Ray recorder. It runs 64-bit Vista Home Premium computer. All Windows updates are made and there are zero viruses and malware.
Any help would be appreciated!

Satellite A300 - how to use the recovery with external DVD drive disc?
Hello
I bought a toshiba Satellite A300 - 15 d
FTM the tsscorp drive that is installed in the camera no longer works (does not detect any type of media what so ever). ) need to recover the laptop, so I used a USB DVD drive to boot from the restore disc, but after that the charges of recovery console it says waiting for media in the f: drive, which is the tsscorp drive although I used an external drive to load the disc.
What files should I edit to make it to load from the drive externally and if this isn't the solution, what do I do?
Thanks in advance
Hey Buddy,
Unfortunately I think that it of not possible to use the recovery with external CD/DVD drive disc. Therefore, place the internal for use the recovery disc.
You can get a new drive to an authorized service provider. But if the original OS from Toshiba is installed, you can use the function of disk recovery HARD reinstall Windows as well. Go to the advanced boot menu (F8) and select Repair my computer :)

Create problems of recovery using Verbatim DVD + R disc
HP 110-213EA desktop PC.
I have problems, create a recovery disk using the HP Recovery Manager.
I use Verbatim DVD + R discs but recovery manager says that the disc is a DVD - RW
Walter, welcome to the forum.
Sometimes optical drives are picky about the drives used. I, too, have always used + R discs without any problem. In fact, they are usually the best option.
Here is a guide that can help you solve your problem. You will need to use a USB flash drive. I did my last drive recovery with a USB flash drive. It has worked well.
Please, click on "Thumbs Up +" if I helped you and click "Accept as Solution" If your problem is resolved.
