Copy playlists on the iPod computer

I have an old 160Gb iPod Classic.  We bought a new computer and I downloaded my files from the old computer to the new iTunes music using an external hard drive, and Apple has proposed the method of transfer of music files.  It worked fine except that none of my Playlists transferred across to the new computer.  I would try to transfer my Playlists from my iPod to the new computer.  Is this possible and how do I do it?

It would be preferable to transfer your iTunes library full (not only your music files) from your old computer to your new computer.  Then you will have everything (including playlists, notes of the song, play account, date added, etc.), because it's the SAME iTunes library on the new computer (not a new iTunes library with your old music files).  I don't know what 'suggested method' has been used, but it's the current method that allows to get the desired result

Manage and backup your iTunes media library - Apple Support

To summarize, first collect you ("consolidate") all your iTunes data in your folder iTunes , which is located in your folder music user account.  Then, copy the folder iTunes on an external drive, to create your backup.  On the new computer (with iTunes not running), copy that backup the folder iTunes to replace the folder (empty) existing iTunes .  iTunes then uses your data from the old computer's iTunes, and everything is there.

iPods are not designed to be your data from iTunes backup.

  • How to copy music on the iPod?

The hard drive of my computer completely bitten the dust recently, information was unrecoverable. iTunes is able to retrieve the music purchased by Apple, but can really help with a music that has been installed from albums, CD I own is no longer as CD seemed anarchronistic clutter. However, all the music is still on the iPod. I did some research online. Most of the references to this type of problem are quite old. There are references to a "disk mode", which doesn't seem to be a feature in the latest version of iTunes. There are also programs you can buy that do exactly what I want to do. I would not buy not rather a program just to get something that I already own, buy maybe if it's the only way. Also complicates things a bit, is that the iPod is so drunk with the shit I want a hard reset, do the cleaning. You guys can help me out here?

  • Copy photos from the old computer

How do I copy/transfer pictures from an old record hard work on Windows ME to a new computer, or CD, or an external drive to backup?

If they are photos or any other type of file is not serious. All files can be transferred in the same way.

Is that the old hard Drive not in a computer any longer? And is that why you don't know how to do it? If Yes, you have essentially two options:

    1. install the hard drive of a computer, temporarily or permanently.

    2. install the disk in a USB external hard drive case; this case is about US $20-25 on Amazon.com, and editing it is very easy, even if you are all thumbs.

Once you've done 1 or 2, it is easy to copy and paste or drag and drop the files if you want.

  • Why can't copy files to my iPod from iTunes

I have not the slightest idea of what is happening.

I used an iPod Touch for years (I now have a 5th generation Touch running IOS 9.3.5).)  But this week when I tried to copy a file (mp3, unprotected file, a record of a sermon) from iTunes on my iTouch, I got this message: "Some of the files have been copied not in the iPod"IPod touch guys"because iCloud music library is activated on the iPod."

Then I tried to copy other files to my iTouch - some of them I bought music from the iTunes sotre files - and I got the same message.  Apparently, I can't move my app on my iTouch iTunes files.

The only different thing I do now is I'm trying the Apple music, but I have not changed the settings on my iTouch.  How can I solve this problem?

    Hello

You cannot manually manage your music when you use the music library of music to Apple /iCloud. When you subscribe to apple music, iTunes you library is analyzed to determine what can be matched or must be downloaded. This will make you the music available on your iOS devices to listen to or download.

    This MP3 has been downloaded?

  • copy playlist from iPod to iPhone

How can I copy a playlist from my iPod Mini to my iPhone 5?

    Hi there, susanfromiselin!

Thank you for using communities of support from Apple!  It seems that you are interested in spending a playlist of iTunes device one iOS to another.  I have a few playlists that exist on multiple devices, myself!  I'd be happy to help in any way I can.

First of all, there are a number of factors that might influence how it's done, then I'll give you a few general concepts for making this happen in different situations.  If you are not a member of Apple's music, then you simply synchronize the playlist for both devices with your computer (Mac or PC).  This article shows you how to:

Sync your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch with iTunes on your computer through a USB port

Without knowing if you are a member of music Apple, or more on your iOS device (iPod Mini you said in your post, so I don't know if you hear an iPod or a Mini iPad), it is difficult for me to find out if your devices are compatible with Apple's music composition.  Yet, these documents will give you some information to help you manage your music and playlists on both devices, if you are a member of Apple's music:

Add music catalog to Apple's music to your library on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac or PC

Music Apple Sync on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and your computer

  • playlists for transfer from one library to another on the same computer

I have 2 iTunes libraries, each in a separate iTunes folder on a single computer.  A library contained musical; the other doesn't have any content.  Also, I have 2 iPod classic I want to be able to synchronize separately for each library.  To this end, I want to transfer playlists selected library 1 2 library.  Is it possible directly on the computer?  If so, the best way to do it?  Otherwise, it seems that my next recourse is limited to manually synchronize playlists selected library 1 iPod 2 & then iPod 2 2 library, assuming that this is feasible.  Any contribution will be welcome.

You need to export the playlist with the music files to a location (your office for ex), and then import it into the second reading list.

  • iTunes could not copy (name of the song) to the iPod (ipod name) because an unknown error occurred (-50)

    Hello
I use the latest version of iTunes and 160 GB iPod Classic. I create playlist and drag and drop the files there, he begins to synchronize the songs (update files to iPod, copy) but after a few songs, it gives me this error:
iTunes could not copy (name of the song) to the iPod (ipod name) because an unknown error occurred (-50)
After clicking 'ok' on the error message, it shows that the iPod got synced up that song (for example songs 2456) but when I try to delete, for example, each piece in the last playlist so I can send all has couse again once I know not where is the last song, it freezes. I can't even click on safely remove the lower right, it does nothing. When I unplug the iPod and reconnect, it shows that the iPod memory is for example 10 gb full couse songs that got synced up to the error, but it shows them as "other". If I wait a few minutes, it automatically deletes and it for example shows 900 MB is full with others. If I wait for each selection to sync, which always occurs within a song at random, but the rest of the songs that I've waited sync appears as usual. But if I try to send new songs, the same error apears after 3-10 songs constantly. But after that I get the error again, the same thing happens in the freezing point. If I restore the iPod and you try to send the songs again he again Gets a thousands of songs, the process repeats...
I restored my iPod, I did on this topic of error checking. I use no bitrate convertion. Yes, I tried sending the same files after restoring the iPod, no error. Any ideas?
    Thank you!

I just use CopyTrans Manager to it. Everything went well.

  • Ok. so, when I sync my music to the ipod, it can read my computer to play, but it is not recognized as the device when I unplug it from the computer.

my ipod plays only a few original downloads on my sound surround of boise, but the most recent downloads will only record and play on my computer. When I download music it synchronizes and can be found and played back on the computer but is not found on the actual screen of the ipod to play my biose surround sound, but there is space on the ipod.

If you wait for the new songs (in your iTunes library) to automatically synchronize to the iPod, it must be configured to use automatic synchronization (setting synchronization music ).  Select iPod in iTunes by clicking on its button on the device.  For current iTunes, the screenshot below shows top left corner my iTunes, iPod touch window circled in red.

Click this button to display the settings of the iPod summary screen in the iTunes window.  Along the left side of the window, in the sidebar, under settings, click on music.  To the right, the music from the iPod settings screen.  Check mark for Sync music box (if it isn't already)

NOTE: No matter what songs on iPod that are not in your iTunes library (on computer) will be lost.

This enables automatic synchronization.  You can choose to synchronize the entire music library (if it fits on the iPod) or a part of the selection .  Implement this screen as you want, and then click apply.  Further, iTunes automatically keeps iPod "in phase" with the changes to your music library (or the selected part of it) when you connect the iPod (or click sync , if already connected).

If this isn't your problem, please post back with additional details.

  • Can I copy my bookmarks from Safari to Firefox if they are on the same computer?

I would like to use Firefox and I want to copy the Favorites I have in Safari. I have a Mac with OS10.6 and the Safari and Firefox are on the same computer. I want to know if Firefox is friendlier, since I do a lot of writing.

You need to update Firefox 6.0.1 via help > topic > check updates
before trial rather than being disappointed with an updated Firefox after the test.

All browsers can use the Netscape bookmarks to HTML file to copy the Favorites. But according to the documentation, you can import directly from Safari. I hope that this applies to your Mac, because it does not appear as an option for me on Windows 7.

Import bookmarks - MozillaZine Knowledge Base

"Firefox is important Safari settings automatically. Just go to file > import... and select Safari. In the next window, check the boxes that you want to import. For example, bookmark Safari will appear in the bookmarks menu to Firefox as "Safari". Whatever other bookmarks you had on your Safari bookmarks bar will automatically appear on your Firefox bookmarks bar, too. "

    If this does not work:

Export bookmarks in Safari: (from Safari Help)
    1. Choose file > export bookmarks.
    2. Specify a location for the exported file. The file name will be "Safari bookmarks.html." Most browsers are able to import this type of file.

    Import of bookmarks in Firefox:

    1. "Command-SHIFT-B' to display the list of bookmarks library, can be done in the bookmarks menu >"show all bookmarks ".
    2. "Import and backup" menu > import HTML > HTML file
      (unless you see Safari)

Firefox uses the same keyboard shortcut to display such menus used on Safari (on a PC, it's the 'Alt' key).

Firefox is highly customizable so you can change the appearance, and a lot of what we would do in other browsers must be done using extensions in Firefox, but the extensions for the 'same' function probably give you much more functionality and control. The look of Firefox by following more like 3.6 would be interesting if you're used to other older browsers - Safari grew up independently for other browsers are more similar.

You can make Firefox 6.0.1 look to Firefox 3.6. *, see numbered items 1-10 of the next topic difficulty Firefox 4.0 UI toolbar, problems (make Firefox 4.0 to 8.0, resemble 3.6). If you make changes, you must be aware of what has changed and what it takes to use changed or missing features.

It is much more beyond these first 10 steps in the list, if you want to make Firefox more functional. (later on)

  • Sync ipod Nano to the spare computer

I would like to sync my iPod on another computer that I have "authorized". When I try to synchronize, put in guard lose all of the music on the iPod scare me off the coast. The original computer I used to charge the iPod crashed and burned.  It can't be this hard?  This is me. It's always me. Help?  Thank you.

If you use automatic synchronization, your iPod can be associated with ONE iTunes library at a time.  It was not the 'computer' or the computer is "authorized".  By definition, iTunes can only "sync" your iPod with iTunes library.  If you have a backup of your entire iTunes library, you can restore your iTunes library to a new computer, and your iPod would be happily sync with it, because it's the same iTunes library (on another computer).

When you have associated your iPod to a new iTunes library, the old iTunes library's existing content is erased and replaced by the content of the new iTunes library.  To avoid losing the existing iPod content, you must unload it.  By design, iTunes sync is generally in one direction, from iTunes to iPod library.  You cannot use iTunes to transfer songs from iPod to the computer (with the exception of songs purchased from the iTunes Store).  However, there are methods and third party utilities that can transfer from iPod to computer.  If you do an Internet search on something like 'ipod music transfer', you should get a few useful links.  Here is a method that requires no additional software

    http://www.CNET.com/how-to/how-to-transfer-music-from-an-iPod-to-your-computer/

Once the files of songs from the iPod to your disk, add them to your current iTunes library.  After checking all the songs are in your iTunes library, you can sync your iPod.  Further, you should back up your iTunes data, as well as the rest of your user data.  iPods are not designed to be your iTunes backup.  To back up all your full iTunes library, you can use this method
