• Constantly synchronize metadata between two photos.

  I was wondering if there was a way to make the Lightroom to synchronize metadata between photos all the time. I am aware metadata synchronization and automatic synchronization, but they work only if you apply the changes so that you have two selected images.

  I am a user of Flickr, and use Flickr Resync (here) to synchronize my images on Flickr in Lightroom. I use this to maintain up-to-date description and tags if I change on Flickr.

  The problem I have is that, for each of my portfolio images, I have the original image and a watermark stored in different folders (the original in one that contains all the images from that day) and the watermark in a folder with all my images in delicate. It is the watermark ones I download on Flick, and which are synchronized with Flickr Resync.

  I want to be able to change the title, description, or tags on any of these images (delicate, original or on Flickr) and others (watermark or original) updated to match. I don't want to update other an each time, I would have preferred that Lightroom (or a plugin) he did for me, or for each image that was installed when I asked, or simply to do all the time.

  I'm under 4.4 Lightroom 64-bit on Windows 7.

  Essentially, I want metadata synchronized between two photos, stored in different locations, but I want it to happen automatically (or to press a few buttons).

  RelativeAntics will allow you to define which photos are associated with what other photos and metadata synchronization at the request, or with a little more work (@v3.0) via editing the advanced settings, you can configure automatic synchronization.

• White balance difference between development and library in 2015 of Lightroom

  Dear users of Lightroom,

  I noticed a bug important on Lightroom since I have the version improved (2015). When I moved to the Development Panel to the library panel, white balance and that appear is not the same! It is really annoying because my images contains much more yellow in the library panel in the development one.

  I tried to export to JPEG, but the exported file contains the white balance that appear in the library panel.

  Is this only happens to me? What is a normal feature that I noticed earlier? Or I'm going crazy?

  He points to a bad monitor profile. You need to calibrate your screen. It can also be caused by a problem with the GPU acceleration. Try to see if turning that disable in preferences-> Performance fix.

• Automatic white balance didn't work - photos is proved very violet/pink everything - can you help me?

  I've been a photographer for these last years, and it's the first time I have encountered this problem. I shot an event for a couple (reception) and I didn't have my grey card, so I put my Canon 5 d mkII on the white balance automatic (shooting with a Canon 24-70 2.8 and a Sigma 85 1.4, if it helps). As you will see on the photos of two examples - photos taken in the conference hall was going well, but the Favorites of the event itself were surprisingly saturated. The room had a ton of very bright uplighting in purple and pink - the shooting was going on in the viewfinder, but once I got them in the LR4, there was an almost complete cast of violet/rose above it all. Adjustment of the balance of whites in LR for auto, tungsten, fluorescent - nothing has worked. Adjust the temporary sliders - only a little better. Reducing the vibrance and saturation has helped a little more, but I really find a solution! I can't afford to pay back their money, but if I can't find a decent solution, I'll do it. I want to give them the best possible color correction, but I'm pretty new to LR and I could use some help. Just to be clear, I'm not looking for a link to a tutorial on how to adjust the white balance - I read all the... I'm hoping by using someone who has experienced this same thing or can still offers advanced solutions that "try to set the sliders more» Thank you in advance!

  This isn't a matter of White Balance, and you will not be able to adjust this image with the settings of white balance only - either behind closed doors or in Lr.

  You shot this photo in colored light, and the effect you looks as if you want a fancy color filter in front of your lens.

  I doubt if it can be adjusted to a 'normal' image looking at all. But for all its worth, here are the best I could come up with – even if I don't say it's THE best, in fact, it is still severely lacking.

  

  And here's screenshots of the settings I used. I found that the most promising "adjustments" were in the calibration Panel. If you play a little bit maybe there is a better solution.

  

  The image has a severe cast of purple, which is a red and blue combination. Increasing green will help. That is why I put the slider dyed in Basic-100.

  In the calibration Panel, I put the still green hue, reduces the saturation of red and blue and changed the shades. Finally, in HSL, I reduced the saturation of blue.

  PS: I think that the advice of Lee Jay is good. Create your own profile for counterweight in light color.

• S110: what is the purpose is commissioning the Flash white balance?

  Guess if you use flash for a shot, then the camera knows, then why would I you put in the menu of the WB.  If you do not need to put it, what is it for?  When I shoot with flash and game WB auto, everything is fine (except when you zoom; see a separate post have Hat nearby).  Thank you.

  If you shoot underexposed to kill any ambient light, leaving only the light from the flash to show in the image, so you need this. On AUTO WB camera would have always thought that color background / ambient is relevant if it would give you a wrong color.

  It's something 'strobists' particularly do a lot.

  Run the normal F55 not S Gamut and they look alike.

  I created composite simple synchronization using two Dbadapters. A DbAdapter to share records and others to insert and update data in another database. My question is how can I detect deletions and delete records in another database.

  One of my friends told me to use DB triggers, but I want to do with SOA application using preferably the BPEL components.

  You can query the database if records are soft deletion, survey in the soft deleted records and then update the database target.

  If these are harsh destruction then the only thing I can think is: -.

  Source database: select * from source

  Target database: delete all records

  Target database: insert the records from the source.

  Other triggers would be best.

• By comparing the areas of vector/waveform between two clips

  Is there a way to bring the scopes for two separate clips to compare as you can do it in first?  I use the 2 - up function often to visually compare the clips, but it just does not cut it for some corrections.

  You cannot spread over more than one clip in Sg, this is something that gets once asked from time to time and would certainly be more useful... Please file a feature request for this...

  Other than that, suggestion of dummergold to make a screenshot of the staves on a clip & comparing to "live" on the other hand, the expanses of Sg is the only solution. In Windows, there is the practice "capture tool" in the Programs/Accessories folder. I put that on my taskbar so I can access them at any time in any program. Then only, drag a square diagonally on the part of the screen that you want to "follow" and it's a jpg/png for you. I don't know that there not on the side of the things Mac.

• When you use the camera application, it will take two photos at the same time.  The first is in the shot, but the 2nd has movement, say a movement arm or head.  Weird.

  I use the 6s and do not have this problem, but at a rally over the weekend, TWO others in the Group showed me the instances of this weird thing.  I'm a photographer by profession and like solving problems.   Cannot understand this.

• before and after the shows difference in white balance even if the photo is not published

  My present Lightroom (white balance) differences between before and after images of the same file, even when the image was published not (the front of the image seems greener). I already checked my import settings and there is no editing during import. The two images, before and after should look exactly the same, but they don t. I have amd using a PC and my files is Nikon Raw or jpeg, it is not serious, the same product no matter the file type.

  

  This is probably due to a faulty monitor profile.

  Windows 10 is known to install the manufacturer profiles, which are often of poor quality.

  Troubleshooting, as well as a temporary fix, try to set the monitor to sRGB profile.

  I have this solves the problem, ideally you should calibrate your monitor with a standard material.

  Press the Windows key + R, type colorcpland press ENTER.

  Add the sRGB profile, and then set as default profile. See screenshot (from Windows 7) below.

  

• Adding photos to change the white balance

  When I add photos in Lightroom 3.2 from my hard drive, thumbnails have the original white balance, but imported and all images have a yellow tint.  My develop settings are set to None.

  It is difficult to understand the details that you have given to date, what is the problem. From my experience, there are three possible reasons:

  1. corrupt monitor profile. The fact that the photos seem to 'well in Windows' does not mean that this reason may be excluded. Most of the applications in Windows are not color management and cannot be overturned by a screen maybe corrupt profile. And even if they are, they might not behave in the same way as Lightroom with some of the ICC v4 profiles.

  To prove that this is not a matter of profile, make sure you remove the monitor profile form display properties or replace it with along with the sRGB profile. Or, after a shot of creen tinted yellow to image in the development with the visible histogram module. If the historgram has the yellow tint also, then - it's profile.

  2. develop predefined import or custom default to develop. Check if you do not apply a develop preset import, or if you have applied a default of custom development. Select an affected image that has not been adjusten in Deleop somehow (the + / badge is missing on the thumbnail) and check each slider on each Panel is equal to ZERO or to the default position. Check if wihte balance is set to "As shot" rather than "Custom".

  3 Lightroom rendering is very different from your camera. Yet one thing that's confusing beginners is how Lightroom rendering is very different from what they see on the LCD screen of the camera or camera previews incorporated which appear briefly after importation, before Lightroom manages to make its own version of the RAW file. I guess that is not the case here, since you say you are having the same problems of JPEG files. But, just in case where, thanks to upload a file raw for us to consider here.

• Inspiron 7559 4K display (16 GB of ram, 960 m GPU) need help. white balance / tone is constantly evolving?

  I just picked up a new laptop (inspiron 7559 4K display, 16 GB ram, 960 m GPU) and I have a problem with the display. Its always of switching/flicker between the white balance / tone between a true white and bluish white cooler.

  It seems to be connected to what colors or lack of, are on the screen. When its just its beautiful text and white. When there is an image or a text in color, the screen switches to the cool bluish white.

  also happened when you hover over an image or an area of color (not items that are links or who have special functions)

  any ideas what I send that thing again? I'm certainly not satisfied with the new machine.

  I experienced exactly the same problem with this laptop (7559 4 k, 16 gb, 960 m).

  I managed to get always this problem of color change (change from white to a different shade of wide white-blue) when highlighting text on a Web page.

  Its quite irritating as the screen around is affected (not just the app you're using) and there's a twinkle in short when the color change occurs.

  HP support were in fact very helpful, has ran a lot of tests, updated all drivers (BIOS, graphics etc etc!), but unfortunately nothing really solved the problem and I returned the laptop.

  Others seem to be affected by this title by the youtube video below, which also shows the question quite well.

  Its really shame that such a potentially important laptop would have a critical fault like this. If they could solve this problem that I would consider buying it again.

  Can someone please explain the difference between adobe camera raw settings white balance (temperature and tint) and the in-camera white balance which is measured in kelvins.

  Let's say I like 5350 for temperature and -8 for the shade white balance settings. How would that be in Kelvin on my camera?

  Temperature = degrees Kelvin. It is the blue-yellow axis , which refers to the black body radiation as it gets warmer ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black-body_radiation ).

  Tint is just another axis 90 degrees to that. The axis of the color is Green/magenta.

  
  

  You set (refine) along two axes in the D800, same by moving the point vertically or horizontally. But the camera and the CAB will not necessarily agree because they interpret things a little differently. In any case: If you shoot in raw, there is no need to make fine adjustments to it in camera. Do it in ACR. The setting of white balance the camera affects not the sensor data, or the file itself. ACR reads just the setting of the device to get a rough starting point.
