Costco paper

HP Deskjet F4280

Windows Vista 32 bit

It print only 80% on photo paper 11 X 8 1/2. On a plain paper he printed a full page. Why.

Hello Richard570

You can check that you set the size of the paper to the correct setting? Also what program you print from?

You can follow these steps to define custom paper sizes.

* Open the print dialog box.
* Make sure that your product is in the drop-down list box name and then click Properties.
* Click on the features or the paper/quality tab.
* Select the size you want in the size drop-down list.
If the paper size is not in the drop-down list, follow these steps to create a custom paper size.
* Select custom from the drop size, or the custom tab.
* In the custom paper size dialog box, type a name for the new custom size.
* In the width and height boxes, or the width and length boxes, type the dimensions.
* Select the unit of measure, and then click Save.
* Click OK to close the custom paper size dialog box, and then click OK again to close the Properties dialog box.
NOTE: you must leave the Properties dialog box to apply your changes.
* Open the Properties dialog box again, and then select the new custom size in the drop-down list size.
* In the Properties dialog box, select the paper type.
* In the paper Type drop-down list, click other.
* Click on the desired paper type, and then click OK.
* Select the paper source from the paper Source drop-down list.
Change any other settings and then click OK to close the Properties dialog box.

  • OfficeJet 6600: Paper jam resulted in ink system failure

Paper jam resulted in the failure of the inkjet system. Error 0 x 61000016 is reported.

I tried troubleshooting basic procedures, but the track of the cartridge seems to be poorly aligned, that is, when I opened the door, only the black cartridge is available. This is definitely not normal.

The above error messages persist after stopping and restarting. Replace cartridges results in the same error.

The jam massive caused many, many problems. I had to fish out bits and bits of paper of all nooks and crannies.

Too boot, when it was all cleared up I had to cold start the printer, remove and reinstall all the cartridges (because the printer is no longer recognized an any of them) and go through a three step routine cleaning print head.

    Very messy.

But the good news is that everything is all right work

My next gripe is about the ongong with cartridges properly filled with Staples, Costco, and al that so-called re - define the chip in the cartridges.

    That never works.

The result is that the printer does not recognize an original HP cartridge when it is filled again and then starts the everlong question when a cartridge is empty actually.

Of course, I know when a cartridge is empty, it weighs about 19 grams.

But we should not do that math.

I understand that HP would love everyone to buy their cartridges, but they cost way too new.

Seems average spririted. I could be wrong, but we are all in this together.

The ink is ink. I think HP should be a little more forgiving for us "little guys" who need to pinch pennies.

    Just saying '

    Rainman

P.S.: And Yes, I agree the continuous message on 'counterfeit cartridges' when I plug a Costco filled HP cartridge. They are not counterfeit, they are actual filled HP cartridges of actual real RGB ink! And, of course, I accept the responsibility addressed by the messages of ad nauseam when I insert these original re-filled HP cartridges. They seem to work well. Perhaps there could be a happy medium where HP could give a little and the moniter ink levels. Of course, I can continue to weigh the cartridges when the print head cleaning routine fails to get good results. But again, HP should be a little more friendly and less motivated in this respect of profit.

But having said that, the disorder shoot works great, and I appreciate it!

  • HP 6830: paper photo power supply problem

When you use Publisher to print a page with pictures and text, my printer HP 6830 seems struggling to feed photo paper.  Printing seems to begin before the paper is introduced by. I tried all possible combinations of settings and yet the sheet comes out with the top of the cut image and there is the smear of ink on the back of the paper. I use HP Premium Plus Photo paper, but have had the same problem using Costco brand photo paper.

    Hi @TerryC1,

Please check back with these photos.

It seems that whatever the ink was supposed to go at the top of the page was actually going on the reels, then break away on the back of the paper.

There is a smear of own ink option that can be made when inn is burrs on the back of the impressions. I don't really know if she can help to clean the ink on the rollers, but it's worth a try.

1 load plain white paper on the tray.

    2. on the printer Panel, drag the screen to scroll to installationand then tap the Setup icon . The Setup menu is displayed.

    3. slide the screen to scroll to maintenance of the printer, and then tap the printer maintenance.

    4. press on the own smear Page.

5 once the printer prints a test page, press OK.

It can also help to clean the paper feed rollers.

If that's not enough I would contact HP Technical Support by telephone as they m ay other means available for them which can contribute to a solution to this problem.

What you can do, is to use the following link to create yourself a file number, then call and it can help to expedite the appeal process:

You have never had a problem before, what happens just started. I have a few questions for you:

  • another driver for 7520 which allows the size of the paper "custom".

I use photomerging to create panoramas that I want to print 4 x 13 (or more).  This was possible on my old Photosmart 6980 using the "Custom" paper format to add custom to the choice list of paper types.  Unfortunately, my new 7525 (of Costco 7520) doesn't have the size option 'Custom '. I see in the Forum several complaints on this subject and any suggestions to install the older drivers that enabled custom calibration.  What other driver should use (older, or maybe newer), which will still make full use of the quality photo Photosmart 7520 - cartridge printing full "564" set ink black photo as well as the tri-colors?

    Hi wgp.

I would like to offer a suggestion to help with the custom paper size is only not available with this new HP Photosmart 7520. The following steps are long, but I think this should help.

The 7520 printer should already be installed for all features.

Step 1. Download the BASIC driver package for the Photosmart C310a and extract the driver package

Step 2. Close the installation window that appears.

Go to "Devices and printers" and "printer properties", and then on the "ports" tab

Step 4. Then choose "Add a printer" in the devices folder and printers.

Step 5. Choose "add a local printer.

Step 6. Choose "Use an existing port" and in the drop-down list.
Choose the one with the 7520

Step 7. In the next screen, select 'Have Disk'.

Step 8. Open your temp folder (type folder in the start search bar and click on enter) and then open the folder 7zxxxxx where software C310a extracted to.

Copy the path and paste it into the box that is displayed in step 7 and press 'Ok '.

Step 9. Choose the driver for the HP Photosmart Premium C310 series and click "next".

Step 10. The name of the printer. (You can call the printer something unique as "Custom sizes Printer' so that you know how to identify it). Then click on "next".

Step 11. Choose not to share the printer and click "next". Then choose whether to set as default and click on "Finish". (Do not print a test page to this point).

Step 12. Now open the file that you were trying to print and choose the new driver "Custom sizes Printer", then click on 'Préférences' or 'properties '.

Step 13. Go in the "Features" tab and under "Size", choose "Custom".  A window will come up to you to identify the size, choose the width and length and record the size of paper. Set your preferences and click on 'Ok '.

Step 14. Press 'OK' in the 'Properties' window and the 'printing' window and your document should now print to your printer on a custom paper size.

Please, let me know how it works for you.

    Thank you

  • paper HP deskjet f2480 & fires of black ink. Has passed through the stages. new cartridge. Continues to blink.

I have a printer hp deskjet 2480 all in one. The paper and ink lights flash. I went through the trouble shooter and replace the cartridge. Continues to blink. All the answers as to why and what next? Error code 095E76ZB.

Thank you all for you answering my question on my printer HP Deskjet f2480 problem. Sorry for the late update, but I take care of an elderly parent and have been busy with appointments.

The problem of the printer turns out be a problem of cartridge after all. We took it to a repair shop. The person told us that this printer is particular about the cartridges. He plays well with non HP cartridges or refills. We had been filling at Costco with no problems for a while. Costco has verified the refill cartridge and it checked OK. Go figure. After trying a few new HP cartridges, we finally got one to work.

  • Error 'Open paper tray' HP 6835

To install on a new Officejet Pro, I bought at Costco.  Installation went well except that I constantly get a message error on the printer screen that says "paper tray is open.  Close the drawer to continue. »

The first time I had this error I was able to open and close the tray and the error disappeared.  Now it stays on all the time and the printer does not print.

This is a new printer.    It was purchased at Costco in the rule last month.  Please notify.

Hi @RamblinReck and welcome to the Forums of HP!

I hope you had a good holiday!

I see that you are having paper tray errors. I would like to help with that!

I recommend to remove the ink cartridges and perform a power reset.  Unplug the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug back in the printer. Make sure that you connect the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any surge protector or power bar.

I suggest also download and run the HP print and Scan Doctor.

Good luck and please let me know the results of your troubleshooting operations. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 (CN578A) will not feed photo paper.

New N911A will not feed paper tray default photo. It gives an out of paper message. Regular paper feeds very well. The optional feeder is not installed (I have not). This is a brand new, out of the box machine replacing a C7280 with failure of distribution of ink. I used this article to all my printers previous HP with no problems. Just got off the phone with HP... my printer BRAND NEW so... Remove the tray paper... tip top printer has left... using a clean t-shirt... Clean the gray rubber roll... a little... hard paper will feed properly...

That is all... should not have to do, BUT it's best that packing this f * er on the rise and water and the ascent to Costco...

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500 'in paper' error message

Someone had the same problem?  Brand new printer, but continue to receive the same message 'in paper' after a few cycles of impression - even though the bin is full.  I take the paper and the restacks.  Usually works after that, but never fails to do it again.  Same paper that I use in all other printers - Xerox.  Good quality.  The problem seems to be that the rolls are not delivered in the paper in the tray.  I went to Costco, it's the second printer - same problem.  Any ideas to fix? Very frustrating.

What does not and has worked for me... Partial Reset, printer replacement, different paper, fanning and otherwise setting paper, parameters, all did not help.  However, cleaning the paper feed rollers tray up to fix the problem.  My first camera was not often, but I was too stubborn to clean the rollers on a new printer.  The second unit was very bad, fails on almost every multi-page print job.  What is strange is that the first sheet feed almost always correctly and the second sheet or later version doesn't have to feed, which suggests a software problem (vs dirty rollers).  After a lot of time in Chat with HP, I finally gave and clean the paper feed rollers tray and power (so far) problems disappeared.  Cleaning was not as strong an I thought it might be.  I used a damp lint and feel achieved in forward into the cavity of the paper tray and wiped the rolls through several rounds of each.  I really hope that this is the solution because it is a very nice printer otherwise.

  • Inkjet inks / paper designed for a Multiple look at an environment

    Hello

I have a printer Canon 9500 Mark II and a calibrated monitor Dell U2410.  I print with Lightroom / items using Canon's ICC profiles.

The prints look resonably close the monitor in the workplace and to diffuse the light of the Sun, however, much too red in incandescent light.

Are there the inks and/or documents that will be better or worse to corresponding to what I see on the screen?

Is there ink/paper combinations that appear close enough to the image on my screen, in varied situations look at a multiple?

    Thanks in advance!

So, if we get a profile for Costco), and softproof the image in Lightroom 5, it will be a reasonable 'simulation' of the result

(more small range, paper, etc.) ?

ICC profiles "assume" an impression of D50 look at a State which, according to the marketing or how you ask, can be a fairly wide range of products. For example, you can buy so-called D50 Fluorescent watch a pit but all fluorescent some nasty spikes in their spectrum which, depending on the type of paper, can cause a "color change" (usually found with papers to high optical brightenerss or Oba). You get a good screen to print the following on the screen match, it is a good sign, you want to shoot. Without this, you cannot evaluate WYSIWYG. Move printing to another location with another bulb, many of the bets are now off depends of the illuminant. What you want when you test is a narrow screen to print match viewing printing next to the screen under controlled print observing conditions: http://www.luminous-landscape.com/tutorials/why_are_my_prints_too_dark.shtml

  • Default size of paper in the print preview

Mode legal print preview, I changed the format of paper and now it is the default value. How can I get the default back to letter format and keep so I don't have to change each time I print? Here also the predefined default settings for ink black & white - what should I do?

You should be able to reset it in the print window, and then select Save current settings as preset.

  • Pages: Print flyer A5 on A4 paper

I have created a flyer A5 using pages and you now want to print.

Because I used images completely to the edge of the flyer I want to print the flyer in the center of a piece of A4 so I can then cut the paper too far.

However, whenever I print, it automatically the page towards the top left of the printed sheet, which means that to lose some of the images of the unprintable.

In addition, it will not print a hairline (despite the option!).

    Thank you

    Simon

Do what is obvious: build your design in the center of a sheet of A4 with marks crop at the corners so that you know where to cut.

"Hairline" is not a dimension so don't use it. It depends on the resolution of your printer. Specify 0.25pt rule or test for what is achievable on your printer.

Also, be sure to use 100% black if you want a solid line, your color is probably a combination of RGB or CMYK coming out as a reason for blurred or nonexistent halftone on something too narrow to reproduce.
