Could not reconnect all network drives in Vista...

On startup, I get the message, form the notification area: "Could not reconnect all network drives.".  How to connect readers.  I have an Epson printer connected.

Hello

(1) what firewall are you using?

You are connected to a Modem/Router? If so have them turn it off for 30 seconds and turn it back on.

Let us know if that helps.

  • Could not reconnect all network drives

My laptop is getting the message "Could not reconnect all network drives", at startup. I'm running Windows XP, service pack 3. I have a 'Z' allocated network drive, which is marked 'memory_card '.

    Must this drive be connected?

If so, what are the steps.

When I try to open this network drive, I get the message "an error has occurred during reconnection 'Z' (: to \\HP(serial number) \memory_card'."

    Thank you

All of this makes sense now.

Thanks for your help and happy new year!

  • message "Could not reconnect all network drives" is an error

I am using windows 7 Home premium, with a small local LAN supporting 3 PC.  There are 2 stores connected to the network on the LAN for backup (a device) and multimedia data archives (the other device).

Lately at the start, I always get the message "cannot re - connect all network drives", but explore can access the network drive and view the contents of files on this subject.  the following image illustrates this case:

Note see the sharing Y: mapped drive that is not connected with a big red X, even though I can access the contents of the folder of this one (pictured above).

So next, I selected Y: and properties and got the following picture for the reader (bomb box properties coming to slightly overlap the content of the file):

Now it is said nothing in the drive capacity which should contribute to this (25% of space), but pointed out that only the action get properties has managed to change the y to so-called connection not connected (but still available) by a big X red, supposed to be connected, with a green sticker on the drive icon shows now.

These 2 images were taken less than 3 minutes apart - the timer it took to snapshot screen not connected, crop the image to remove the spaces empty and save them, and then get the properties one and do the same thing.

The question is - why windows do this?  It is obviously not something wrong with the devices, and even when it allegedly is 'not connected' the drive mapped a share can still provide content of records of levels 2 and 3 to the bottom of the tree.

  • Could not find the network driver: PCI\VEN_14E & DEV_165F & SUBSYS_2133103C & REV_00

I can't find a driver for a Proliant Server network:

    PCI\VEN_14E & DEV_165F & SUBSYS_2133103C & REV_00

    Hello:

You are missing a character description of the seller.

However, my guess is that you need the driver there is the Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet card which has an ID PCI\VEN_14E4 & DEV_165F.

If HP does not list the driver on the support page for your particular model server, here is the link to the generic drivers of the BCM for this ethernet model.

The first or the second pilot is probably one you need (32 or 64 bit depending on the case).

    http://www.Broadcom.com/support/Ethernet-NIC-NetXtreme-i-server

You will need to manually install the driver, because I do not think that these are executable files.

    9. If you can't find your printer, you will need to find the installation CD and use the 'Disc' option to select one of the files hp*.ini. You can also select another model of the same type HP printer.

  • Error 1606: 'could not access location network & AppData%.

Please help with Error 1606, "could not access location network & APPDATA%\.»  Can someone please provide a fix?

This problem occurs because there is incorrect entries in the Shell folder of the user who is logged on to Microsoft Windows. When Windows Installer goes to the sale of Shell folder of the user who is logged on to the computer, Windows Installer cannot locate the correct entry. The solution is inhttp://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/886549.

The steps to correct this problem involve editing the Windows registry.  Change the settings of the REGISTRY can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the REGISTRY settings configuration can be solved. Changes to these settings are at your own risk. I suggest that you first back up your registry as follows: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Back-up-the-registry.

Here are the steps to fix it.

    1. click on start, run, typeregedit in the Open box, and then click OK.

    2. look for the following registry key:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell dossiers\

3 remove the entries that show the path that is listed in the error message.

886549 KBhttp://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/886549: Regedit open again. In the left pane, click User Shell Folders, point tonew, click expandable string value, type the value name that you want to restore (AppData) and then press ENTER. Right click on this value, clickchange, type the value in the value data for the value name box, and then clickOK. The value data must be: % USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming.

Step 8 KB 886549 suggests that you also check the values in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders. However, by fixing my problem, I had not to change values in the registry key. If this does not work, follow ALL the steps in the referenced article.

Try running ChkDsk to check your drive for errors. Right click on your drive icon / properties / tools / error checking.  Try first by checking do not each box (that it will run in read-only mode) to see if it reports any problems file or hard drive.  If so, restart it by checking both boxes and restart to allow him to attempt to fix any problems found.

As for the "Changes" problem that I have no real solution for this, only that you remove every bit of desktop of your machine and everything don't reinstall desktop applications you need.  It could be a corrupted registry which is behind this problem.

  • Storage migration fails with the error: could not complete the network copy to path to the file

    Hello

I have two hosts ESXi 5.5 with local storage and VMware vCenter device which manage them. Everything worked well until that time.

Now when I try to make the host migration and storage, processing or power off the virtual machine, I get the error message:

Could not complete the network for file /vmfs/volumes/.../path/to/file.vmdk copy

The situation is the same when I try to deploy VM on ESXi-2 model that is on ESXi-1.

All with the network configuration is correct. I have ping between the hosts on ESXi and ESXi and vCenter. No firewall hosts ESXi and vcenter. No physical firewall between hosts.

The network latency is less than 1 ms. No packet loss.

I read this VMware KB article: Storage migration fails with the error: could not complete network file copy and I tried solutions explained here, but the results are the same.

You have ideas where the problem may be?

    Hello guys,.

    I finally found the problem.

ESXi servers are configured with MTU 9000, but the switch where the hosts are connected was a bug documented with frames. I found the problem after finding this article http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=1003734

I run the command of ESXi-1:

    vmkping - d-s 8972 192.168.10.12 where 192.168.10.12 is the ip address of ESXi-2

    The result was:

3 packets transmitted, 0 packets received, 100% packet loss

as a workaround, I reduce the MTU to 1500, then I patched the problematic switch.

The 305 error indicates that the hard drive has failed. You will need to replace the hard drive.

This is an easy repair so I'll give you the information you need to fix yourself. It's your interview Guide &. It contains information on how to disassemble the laptop. The guide also contains information that will allow you to choose a replacement hard drive.

If you do not want to repair the laptop you can contact HP Support directly to the 1-800-4474-6836 if you are in the USA / Canada. If you are in another country, you must first visit HP's Support around the world to find the coordinates for your region.
