Covers blackBerry Smartphones RIM defective
I think that it is only those with magnets with the problem. The bags that allow the phone to detect that they have been inserted to pause. I'm just very surprised RIM have not responded to any of this thread and worked closely with end users to solve this problem. And stop selling phones that have a problem the pouch that is supposed to save the battery actually eat.
Just mark this one resolved.

Data messages blackBerry Smartphones RIM appearing on handheld
I received messages from the network of the RIM on my handheld. They say that the message is used to carry data between your Blackberry handheld and a home server and advise me not to remove, move or respond.
Anyone has an idea as to how I can get these messages do not appear constantly?
Hello and welcome to the Forums of Support BlackBerry.com.
Reason: You have installed Desktop Manager by using the option 'Enterprise' or "Desktop Redirector".
Step 1: If you do not use redirector or company, you must uninstall Desktop Manager and then reinstall it using the BlackBerry Internet Service option.
Step 2: On your device, go to: Options > Advanced > maintenance book and remove any service books for [office]

Manager of Communications cell phones blackBerry Smartphones RIM has stopped working
Hello
Today, I found my trackpad on my BB9900 had ceased to work for any scrolling. I could still use it as a button to select something, but not to move. So after the reboot to check that I had installed any new software or applications during the last month or so and even pulling the battery... I know that I know that it still did not work.
I then plugged on my laptop to try reloading software. When I did he wanted to update BB Desktop Manager. So of course I did. (BTW the BB connected at this stage) After the update when you try to connect the BB all I get is this error "RIM Handheld Communications Manager has stopped working". I restarted the laptop and the BB just to be sure, but nothing. Now, I have a BB that doesn't scroll and BBDTM which does not connect. Advice?
Either by the way, I also tried changing trackpad sensitivity and turning on an audible scroll but it did not a difference, nor I heard no sound scroll.
Thanks in advance!

BlackBerry Smartphones RIM Album Art Deamon Yosemite OSX crashes every few seconds.
Since my upgrade to OSX (OSX v 10.10) Yosemite RIM Album Art Deamon chrashes. When I start first it takes about 2-3 minutes before the first crash, then when I dismiss the crash report, it is only a few seconds until the following appears.
BBDM has been installed before the upgrade to Yosemite (it was initially installed on Snow Leopard, but the upgrade was Mavericksk (OSX 10.9))
I uninstalled BBDM, restarted the computer and there is no crashes, but of course I can't save my torch or Playbook. So I re-uploaded BBDM and reinstalled, which required a reboot. After 2-3 minutes, an accident, then the same behavior as before.
Any suggestion would be appreciated, as I have updated both my Mac to the latest version of the software. (BBDM is only installed on one).
Thank you
Yes, I should have said, if your Contacts are on your Mac as opposed to iCloud then BB link should find OK. Workaround was really to people using iCloud. In this case, the default profile and the profile of Apple are the only two entries in the address book of Contacts stored on your Mac.

Smartphones BlackBerry of RIM blackBerry 9220 curve - vibrate profile does not work.
Hello RIM! :
I have my Curve RIM 9220 for a month half and suddenly vibrate profile does not work.
I tried the soft reset, Double Soft Reset and finally what I hated the most, is the Hard Reset.
This phone is ideal, but with this question, I might think twice. Please help RIM. Helpsmilie::
Hi PinoyAkoBakit,
Welcome to the support community!
Can you please clarify what you mean by rebooting to hot, double soft reset and hard reset?
I would say that your database of sounds/profiles of compensation and set up your notifications again manually, without restoring these settings from a backup file. This article provides the steps to do this. 'How to clear data from the BlackBerry Smartphone user' http://bbry.lv/JtQKcw
If this does not resolve the problem, try to back up your data and perform a clean reload of your BlackBerry® Device Software. For additional instructions, see the following KB articles.
For Windows®: "how to perform a clean reload of the BlackBerry Device Software for Windows' http://bbry.lv/GI9beY
For Mac: "Perform a clean reload of the BlackBerry smartphone application software on a Mac using BlackBerry Desktop Software" http://bbry.lv/J0UN1UPlease test to make sure that the problem has been resolved before restoring all the data from your backup file.
I hope this helps.

Judging by the comments in AppWorld, it looks like last update of the Facebook #RIM for #Blackberry broken upload photo. After reading a few threads here, I tried pulling the battery, delete - reinstall the app, take smaller pictures, removing information geo-tagging and checking permissions. I always get an unknown error 2010.
I can download to send an email and Twitter without any problem.
I hope this gets fixed soon. It seems that there are a lot of people out there with this problem.
Nothing here that could help you?

Message from Smartphones blackBerry of RIM for the owners of Blackberry messenger
I received a forwarded BBM message to a couple of my friends today saying this:
Hello, greetings from RIM (Research In Motion) BlackBerry owners. This message is to inform all of our users, our servers have been recently really full, so we ask for your help to solve this problem. We need our active users to re - send this message to everyone on your list of contacts in a way to confirm our active users who use BlackBerry Messenger, if you do not send this message to all your BlackBerry Messenger contacts, then your account will remain inactive with result in losing all of your contacts.
We apologize for the inconvenience, but this is the only possible way to solve this problem. Sincerely from Research in Motion. For more information visit:
www.BlackBerry.com/inactiveuserIs there any truth to this? I checked the link to Blackberry and got a message saying that the page was not found.
My favorite is the technical term that they use "very comprehensive."
It is indeed a hoax.
A hoax message circulating on BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) asks users to message BBM to their contacts in order to maintain the BBM service and claims to have been sent originally by Research In Motion (RIM).
Be assured that this BBM message did not come from the RIM and that it does not affect the security of BlackBerry smartphones. It is simply a string of hoax message. Unfortunately, many social networking applications in the face of this scenario, according to which no message, including a hoax message, can be transmitted to a user of one of their contacts. We recommend that users simply ignore the message and do not convey.
English version of the broadcast message illegitimate:

BlackBerry smartphones, for that I need a few RIM experts answer this question.
This isn't really a problem of java development, but I'm not expert on the general forum. I arrived there just the other day and a guy was ranting and raving on this is terrible, the storm is compared to the iPhone.
I have pointed out errors in his way and man, there is a lot of emotion there and a lot of very bored customers.
I think that I calmed down most of them, but I think more about the inner workings than most, they all ask the same questions.
The questions are basically, there are 2 main questions.
1. the phone resets several times a day on its own. No rhyme or reason to it. I have heard of a mission that removing the SIM card algtogether might fix this sometimes. Is there a way to reset your SIM card to the factory settings?
2. the second problem is more difficult to classify. There might be several problems, but I suspect that there is a big underlying problem. It's that everything is working properly. Things like him taking 2 minutes to take a photo or for the phone record horizontal to vertical. This kind of thing.
If an expert he can suggest a solution or if there is a known problem that occurs and there is a difficulty, I can relay this back to them.
One possibility is to clean the memory and restore factory. Is it possible to do so. I know that javaloader ordered a memory wipe. However, I do not know if the State of entire plant is available in EDGE tools that we installed all.
Or post you here...
Please close it when you did that, then it does not clutter this forum.
I feel sorry for these guys (those who are not madmen :-) and they need help.)
Thank you guys.
-Donald
We have several storms and they all have the following symptoms:
After running for about 4 days, the system significantly slows down. You see demonstrations continuous hourglass, which means that the G.C. is overtime. A hard reset Erases (battery pull) the problem for another 4 days.
Sometimes, the phone becomes hot all of a sudden and burn the battery in about 30 minutes. If it's in your pocket, it is immediately noticeable and you pull the battery to clear up the issue. However, if the phone is, you won't notice. Several times, I put the phone down, then took a phone completely dead (and hot) an hour later. After charging the battery, you must reset the date and restore network connections, while he was REALLY DEAD.
Now, we have repeatedly stopped all 3rd party programs and the problem is not clear up. We keep waiting for this next OS update that solves problems.

I wonder where I should post the bug reports and suggestions for BB8900? I think that we have already found several bugs enjoyable device it is, but I've never seen any work email address to send these discoveries. I have also some proposals to improve the BB8900 features, making it even more attractive with minimal effort. We can actually open a new thread here and I can start posting bugs that I knew, but I'm not sure that everyone from RIM never reads these postings. All good ideas? Or maybe there is some forum tht could be used for this purpose?
If you have any suggestions and information on RIM BlackBerry platform then post it here:

RESOLVED:
See the second post in this thread for the solution (thanks to wiggler forum member)ORIGINAL MESSAGE:
[I know I am a "retarded" for even bringing this place, but we'll just go beyond the part and talk about what I really want to know here ]
My wife and I went to an Android (Bionic) for me and an iPhone (4 s) for her. However, his old phone (Storm 2) has recently been replaced because his former 1 storm went wrong on her... and now, since my father thought finally get something to replace his old (not to mention, broken and unusable) Palm device, we thought we might as well give him the Storm 2 and see if it'll work out for what he wants.
Here's the deal about my father and his PDA... already has a cell phone, so he won't move up to a smart phone, because he does not want to pay the extra money every month just to get a PDA phone when he probably never really use the data service much and all that.
He wants a phone just to be a phone, and he also wants a PDA... just for the PDA part.
So, I thought, very well... If he is not willing to move completely in the modern era, then we can at least give him something he can synchronize with Outlook (it works... I already tried) to have its calendar and contacts with him all the time (which it is not able to do with his simple mobile).
So what I know is that it's possible, at least in a very limited sense... I have the Storm 2 sync with Outlook.
However, here's my problem... for a reason, even if the wifi card appears to connect to the wifi here in their home access point, it is not actually get an IP address and can't get out on the internet with the browser integrated into all.My question is this...
Is it because it is not possible (i.e. RIM has configured to disable the card wifi within the unit while there is no mobile phone service connected), or who should run, and I should watch more in the sense of something wrong at the level of the home network? The reason why I think that it could be something awkward like that within the device itself, it is my new Android and iPhone of the wife are able to connect to the network wireless home here very well.
Sorry for such a long thing, goofy needs help, but I thought it is a good starting point. If anyone has ideas and is willing to help, please chime.
p.s. I am a computer scientist. So I have that aspect covered... at least you do not work with a complete * beep * if you jump here.
I thought about it. I did a search on google for the specific message I saw in 'wi - fi tools' (which was "no longer valid"ip address ") and found this thread...
http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/T5/other-BlackBerry-smartphones/IP-address-no-longer-valid/TD-p/...The second post there (from wiggler), gave me the fix I need.
Thank you! :-) -
BlackBerry smartphones, restore default settings
How to restore the default settings and delete all personal information (e.g.: calendar, contacts, etc.) of my BB Bold 9650?
Read this article from RIM's Knowledge Base to reset your device to factory settings.
KB18998 How to reset a factory default BlackBerry smartphoneYou can also go to Options > Security > Security wipe and follow the prompts to remove all personal information from the device.
I would like to do both if you get rid of the unit, sales, etc.
But, just for the heck of it, I also want to make a backup of the first, using the BlackBerry Desktop Software.
