CPU fan run full speed constantly

I bought a Pavilion Elite m9510f liquidation of Circuit City a week and half ago. Big mistake... because I can't look upon return, but anyway. The compters CPU right at full speed, the box fan works all the time. When I call the technical support they had me check the connection of the fan to the motherboard and set power options to save energy. Problem still exists. They had me also pull the video card to be sure it wasn't this fan, but it was not. They tried to tell me that this is normal... No way should the CPU fan spin full speed all the time. I have no patients must remember and discuss with them righ now since I spent 3 hours on tech support Saturday for a new LAN card wireless, sent me. ERRRR.

Any help would be appreciated.

P.S. I downloaded Speedfan to check my cpu core temp and it all say core 4 times are are hormaux 35 c or lower. So I don't think that I have an overheating problem.

Your pc has 2 BIOS updates. 5.32 5.35 second updated and contains a fix for the problems of your siding.

HP Pavilion p6-2037cb bought 19/01/12.  Windows 7.  There is no error message.

When I turn on the computer after it has stopped all night the fan running at full speed.  This has happened several times in the first month.  The first time, he stopped himself after a few minutes.  Then I learned to stop it by restarting the computer simply.  It still works, but what was once happen one or two times a month, happened twice in two days then you worry I the problem worsens.

  • Tecra A10 - S3501 Power blinks, fan runs full speed.

    Welcome all,

I have a clients Tecra in the shop, and after having received a good description of what was going on at the tme of failure, I still can't understand it. She was watching a flash video when it froze. On reboot, it will not init the LCD, it seems at least partially POST, the CD spins, and all LCD screens blink as usual. Still no init LCD and the power light flashes green, without cause, is not a binary led post code. The fan runs at full speed directly and remained there for the duration. I counted 20 a second flashing with the fan at full speed, before you turn off the power. Any ideas? Customer has no guarantee, so would be good remedy for her. :-) Thank you and have a nice day.

    Hello

Simply said the screen is blank when snaps for laptop and you can not see anything
You are able to access the BIOS?
Press ESC, then press F1 to access the BIOS

I also recommend to connect an external monitor to check if something would be visible on the second screen.
Otherwise I think that it s a screen hardware problem or GPU

  • Mac Mini (mid-2010) fan running full speed

I went on the hard drive of a few years for one SSD OEM and the fan runs all the time.  In my view, there is a connector on the card, which has no connection with it.

I read that this occurs when the thermal sensor is not placed on the new hard drive.

How many connection should be here soon out of the drive to connect to the map?

    How can I fix?

    TIA

The original HD had a sensor taped to the road with adhesive tape double faces. You had to move the sensor to the new drive. Without the detector, the fan runs at full speed.

  • iMac fan runs full speed after the migration wizard

Hi, just a clean installed 10.9.5 BONES and then I used the migration assistant to transfer my backup time machine from my old computer. He made the transfer, took nearly 4 hours. Then when he was done he rebooted the computer, and as soon as he started the fans in the computer run at full speed. I have a small (HARD drive fan control) software that I have installed to see the temperature and it tells me 119F and fans are 4962 RPM. Why it does this?

Once the computer restarts, it said it was computer optimization and it can affect performance, can that cause the problem of fan? I did e-mail importing and installing imessage and now I'm looking at the speed of the fan and it is now 118f 4638 RPM... always very noisy. This computer did not a fan NOISE until I migrated my data.  Help, please!

Once the computer restarts, it said it was computer optimization and it can affect performance, can that cause the problem of fan?

Yes. It should settle down after the Spotlight indexing. Which can take some time, depending on the number of files that needed to index.

119 ° F is on the colder side of normal and no reason for concern.

  • Compaq Presario CQ62 fan running full speed but not overheating

Hello everyone, Ihad a fear a while ago and I was freaked out. I only am not much with the material so I came to you all.

I had absolutely nothing on except a browser and youtube. There is no intensive program or anything running in the background when all of a sudden the fan running at full power. It was extremely noisy and scary since it's my first to deal with this. I had the computer for 4 years and I have never rough with her, but a week ago I had someone try to clean, but they have managed to take off the keyboard and that's all.

I panicked and turned it off only to turn it back on, the problem is that I don't remember the error message I thought it was 90 b and he says that the fan was not working properly

However this site says the fan was not working or he fell from the tree, which may be the case for them, but for me it worked as hard as possible.

    What should I do?

I was going to borrow a Tablet, so I can use internet to disassemble and clean.

However, from time to time I spray outside with the aircan and I have the laptop on stilts, so it is triggered on an angle. I put it down for the first time today to do this.

    ANY suggestions?

    TL; Dr

    Fan worked at maximum capacity

I think I have an error which I think has identified as 90 b and he said that the fan is not working properly

    I use a Presario CQ62

Before hand, he worked at the same max thought that the laptop was > warm just a little hot.  AND none of the intensive programs ran

If they are all the same part I linked will work for you. It's the radiator and fan. You can buy just the fan and replace in your radiator but if all this is so cheap, why go to the extra trouble?

  • iMac 27 "mid-2011 - Intermittent problem with CPU fan running at full speed and sleep mode.

    Hello!

My iMac 27 "has an intermittent problem with the CPU fan runs at full speed. Sometimes it happens at the time when I start it, sometimes only in my session, and sometimes only after a certain time. So does seem to be a problem of "heating".

Second issue is with the mode 'sleep'. It may occur also at any time, at the start of the iMac, session, or after a certain time. But once he starts to go in mode 'sleep', when I wake up, it goes right back in mode after a few seconds and that it will continue indefinitely until I restart the computer.

  • I have 4 GB of RAM, but when my i play any game, my CPU fan runs at high speed and my system gets shut down within minutes.

I have 4 GB of RAM, but when my i play any game for example NFS most wanted, my CPU fan runs at high speed and my system gets shut down within minutes. Help me solve this problem

If you overclocked?  If so, cancel that.  If the games you play are poorly written, it is not that you can do about it.  If you have not cleaned the dust and lint from your computer within a certain time, you should do that because it accumulates and causes overheating.  For desktop computers, remove the cover and carefully use compressed gas to blow off the dust, especially around the fins in the processor heat sink and air ducts.  For a laptop, I'll ring gas compressed through the ventilation openings.

    Good luck.

  • Satellite P750 - after update BIOS CPU fan runs faster

    Hi all

    On my Satellite P750 (PSAY3A - 02L 001)

Since I've updated my BIOS to version 2.40, I noticed that the CPU fan runs much faster then normal.

Even more, when I go in options inside BIOS configuration, saving it comes up with "an invalid entry.

Has anyone experienced this problem? Know a way to solve this problem?

In General, old BIOS is not available when one is offered on Toshiba new download page.
If you have older version of BIOS try to contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help. They have access to the database of Toshiba and can get the ld for you version.

By the way: have you tried to change the power settings for the cooling method and less upgraded?
This should reduce the activity of fan cooling.

  • Satellite M30X-129: CPU fan runs constantly after new XP Pro re - install

I just installed a new Samsung 120 GB drive in my M30X-129, an upgrade of the 60 GB IBM drive with what it was originally provided.

Tried ghost XP Home installation of the old drive to the new - but it didn't work for some reason, installation, attached to a page with the "Windows XP" logo on it...

So, I installed XP Pro with SP2 from scratch on the new drive.

After having done that, I then installed the Toshiba and utils drivers listed for your laptop:

    NES http://UK.Computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_drivers_bios.jsp?service=UK&mode=allMachi & action = search & teddProduct = 555

The problem I have is that the fan runs at full speed all the time - this isn't the case with the old installation of XP (was rare for it to come on at all when slowed down in the office - running full bore 100% of the time)

Research by and try a few suggestions:

-J' installed the common Utils from Toshiba
-J' installed the Toshieba power management - and set the fan speed to ' Silent' has ', but that doesn't seem to have any effect.

Any suggestions? for example. where I get the latest versions of the applications?

The noise of the fan slowly leads me to the top of the wall...

    Ben.

    Hello Ben

If you have installed your own OS and Toshiba designed drivers, tools and utilities, I assume that this problem cannot be software. I'm really not 100% sure why the fan always runs at full speed but Satellite M30X is around 2 years and I guess it's time to clean up. The second thing can be your new HARD drive.
It is also possible that new HARD drive produce more heat and sensors to register it and don t stop the cooling fan.

I recommend you to professionally cleaned the unit and remove any dust inside the unit. I'm pretty sure that cooling fan does not work at all times.

Also try to put the laptop into a slightly higher position (if possible at the back) and on this brand more interspace between the bureau and the cooling grill fan in the lower corner of your laptop.

  • Fan runs all speed. CFPreferences could not connect to its demon.

The fan of my MacBook Pro suddenly began to run all speeds, something it has never done before

and it is in mode 'sleep'.

I checked the Console and the activity monitor is

Nothing special in the activity monitor is

In the Console, there is something that keeps repeating

    and

CFPreferences could not connect to its demon. Preferences by using the connection 0 x 0 will be volatile and will not be persisted to disk.

Only by restarting the computer could not stop the fan

Off the MBP fan stopped to run

What is going on? Should I be worried?

  • Tecra S11 - CPU fan is high speed

    Hello

We have a problem with nine Tecra S11 / Windows 7 64-bit. The CPU fan is noisy high speed during ignition and start Windows. No change after logon. Speed remains unchanged up to go to the sleep mode once. After waking up, everything is OK.

For me, it seems to be a problem with the firmware (BIOS). Update V1.70 but no change. We have same problem with the S11.

    Any ideas?

    Hi Stevep_1,

Have you tested different cooling options in Windows power management? Check it for each profile, and then select battery optimized cooling.
