Joey, welcome to the forum.

This is the maximum temperature of the CPU:

Models E6400 (2.13 GHz), E6300 (1.86 GHz), E4400 (2 GHz) and E4300 (1.8 GHz)

  • The limit of maximum temperature for all these models is 61.4 C (143 F).

My Qosmio G50 cpu temp seems normal 35 ° C, but when I open the Download Manager after beginning everst sometimes show constant 70 c never never falls if student even I left inactive for a few hours.

I wonder if this temp is correct and can cause the dmg or its software fault and calculates wrong because I hear no noise or any fan.

    Hello

70 c are nothing special and it s normal behavior that the CPU temperature would increase if the CPU performance increase.

AFAIK the CPU is able to last a temperature of 100 ° C.

    Regarding the 3rd party tools;
These tools are not tested with different sensors so it of really difficult to tell if the temperature has been successfully read
But if the temperature is too high then the laptop would be closed automatically to prevent damage of material form
If the laptop still works so I guess that the temp is too high

I can't see my CPU Temp.

    Can someone help me.

I do not know the program you are describing, but you might want to download the latest free version of the analytical tool of Everest Home Edition to OldVersion.com

When you run it look under computer/sensor. It will show you your time CPU and then you will at least know if the program or the sensor that is not working properly.

  • CPU temp is-128C after the resumption of the mode S3 Sleep

    Hello

As says my title, my temp cpu bed-128 C after waking mode S3 sleep.

This affects my fan control, and while not particularly dangerous, it is annoying as my fans are set to 100% and do not return to their modes of thermal cruise.

However, when I restart my computer temperature readings are fine and the fans run in accordance with their respective temperature readings.

The really weird thing is that as I get S3, I look at the temperature of my cpu and it reads 40 c (same as idle temperature), but this only lasts for about a second how the temperature reading goes up to C - 128, while my fans are working up to 100%, such as fans and temperature readings are pegged to their "extreme" until I restart the computer.

I tried to close the temperature monitor and re run after S3 wake up without result. I also tried to launch a processor intensive task to see if that would record at least a change in temperature, also without success, the temperature reading remains pegged to c - 128.  Is it possible to correct the stray cpu temperature read during his awakening of S3, because it seems that the sleep mode S3 everything resets all leaving the cpu temperature sensors in limbo?

    Im running:

Win Xp pro SP3 and Speedfan 4.45 (temperature monitor)

    2 GB of ram

    T8300 CPU @ 2.4 Ghz

    Card mother MS-9803 w/FRIEND BIOS 2.2

    O.K.

After combing through the net re: the above question, I determined that the problem I see with the temperature monitor is only a superficial, but light always news, of a larger problem.

I contacted the mfr of cpu and my cpu temperature is within specifications, even after the release of the S3 despite what said Speedfan.

So the problem I have is not so much with the temperature of the cpu that the fact that my cpu is "spinning its wheels" after the exit of the S3 with cpu common use anywhere from 15 to 35% (via the Task Manager) with no visibly active application/process. .... IM thinking to start a new thread and the closure of it.

  • Satellite L850 - 117 CPU temp 59% on idle

    Hello

I recently bought the L850. It worked very well without any problems.

However I started a day game and the game crashed after about 20 minutes and the laptop, said the CPU is overheating, it seemed rather strange because I was running this game before it was working fine, I noticed that the CPU temperature is always 50% even in idle state, the fan is always jumping from 50% to 100% (every 2-3 seconds) as well in idle state.

For some reason any, I think that it started after upgrading the BIOS to 1.60, but I may be wrong and the fan got dusted upward, however I've had this laptop for about 5 months and it's hard to believe that he has so much dust.

    Appreciate any help.

    Thanks in advance

It is possible that the new BIOS has changed the values in the BIOS and now the cooling fan works a little different than before.
Try to change the high performance power plan, close certain unnecessary processes running in the background and start the game just to see what will happen.

It's that you cannot return to the old version of the BIOS now. Toshiba page is latest BIOS only available on support. I can imagine, what you might get the old version of the Toshiba service provider in your country. Call and ask for help and good advice.

  • The fan speed does not match cpu temperature

    Hi all

following my last post, I have a new question. I have a 13 rMBP inches early 2015 2.7 ghz dual core i5.

by running ' Yes > / dev/null & Yes >/dev/null "(for about 4-5 minutes), I managed to get 100% load on both hearts, beginning of time editing.

at one point, fans of kick (they were before, 0 RPM, which is normal on the new mbp) and start climbing in RPM also.

then, cpu temp reached 97 - 98C and the speed of the fans stops about 3250 RPM rise. Temp remains steady at 97 - 98C as if 98C is ok and should not be cooled more far.

IMHO I'm not sure it's a hardware problem because obviously the temp reading is ok, fans begin to climb in rpm, the only issue is - why they stop at 3250 RPM when the CPU is 98C? (I know about fans of older models, kick to 100% after 90 c, but I wonder if this is the case in the new models or the fault is in my MBP)

also, it of not like the fans are completely disabled or works 100% all the time, looks like a problem of software for me.

If someone has the same model of rMBP I would appreciate running the ' Yes > / dev/null & Yes >/dev/null ' and sharing the results.

  • Satellite A100-192 - high CPU temperature

    Hello

I have this laptop for several months. Up to now, cpu temp was about 63 degrees Celsius at the Summit. Since a few days temp is 63 maximum idle and 73 when... the game worms 2!
    What could go wrong?

There is nothing that would drain my cpu, nothing has changed, the CPU has a good air circulation.
I don't know what to do. When I play the need for speed: carbon, the game freezes and hungs after awhile.

    Help, please.

    Hello

You know that each device preinstalled in the notebook produced heat.
Sometimes more operating devices with maximum performance. The devices run with maximum when performance performance heavyweight like games runs on the laptop.

On my laptop Toshiba power saver determines the method of cooling and the processing speed of the CPU. I think that this is also preinstalled on your laptop. Therefore, you should first check these options.

Second Toshiba graphics driver must be installed on the laptop and not any other because the Toshiba has the driver supports protection against overheating. This driver controls the performance of the graphics card. If the temperature rises to a higher level if the driver decreases the performance of the graphics card.

Last but not least, you should check your module cooling fans. Sometimes the dust and debris keep the laptop cooling properly.
You must also have sufficient free space around the laptop for cool air circulation.

  • Satego P100-10U: CPU overheating all playing 3D games

    Hello!

I often play games like call of Duty4, Counter Stri * ke Source, FEAR Combat etc with my Toshiba laptop...
After a few minutes, the game, the CPU send a warning: CPU overheating!

With the right tool brand CPU my CPU temp. is greater than 95Celsius!
If I am not under my laptop a few CDs or books on the corners to make a place for cooling, the laptop crashed because the CPU is overheating...

This problem is only if Iplay 3D games.
If I'm working from write something 'normal' like surfing on Internet, watch pictures or listen to music, the temperature of the CPU. between 60 - 70Celsius...
What can I do? Service call?

    Thnx

    Hello

As you know this laptop was equipped with high-tech parts and devices that are really very powerful. During these games to 100% devices and produce a lot of heat. This is why it is very important to a cooling properly.

Please check if the cooling modules are free! I mean the dust and debris could prevent fans of good working condition and would have led to overheating.
In most cases the coolant cleaning module could help to prevent the overheating of laptop computer
To clean the fans, you might use a jet of compressed air that can be bought in various computer stores

    But I have a question;
Using the graphics driver from Toshiba?

Maybe you installed a 3rd party graphics driver which doesn t support protection against overheating! He should know that the original Toshiba graphics drivers are slightly modified. The GPU driver supports thermal protection which prevents the overheating GPU chip is very important and necessary, because portable computers, graphics cards do not have huge cooling modules like graphics cards for desktop PC!

Therefore, use of the 3rd party graphics driver could lead to overheating.
    Be aware of these facts.

    Best regards

  • What should be the CPU temperature?

I ask for Satellite S1800-100 and it has Celeron 800 MHZ CPU, 128 MB, 8 MB shared SD - RAM Accelerator Trident Cyberblade VGA.

I had no major problems, but I wanted to ask you: what should my CPU temperature should be?

When I check his temp with Everest (or other S/W), CPU temp is around 44 to 58 C, CPU fan becomes on itself as default value of course.

    Thank you...

    Hello

As I know there is no standard value for each laptop model. As you know, it depends on the CPU usage. Now, all typing and listening to music on my Tecra CPU temperature is 53 c and drive HARD 42 C. cooling fan works from time to time at low speed running.

The temperature that you wrote in your assignment is reasonable for me.

  • My Satellite P200 overheat? CPU at 65 degrees C

    Hello

I had this laptop for a little over a year. Never had any problems with it, not once do bluescreen :/
For the past 2 weeks ~ the screen started showing blue lines if I move the screen a little bit. Battery refuses to charge for a few seconds sometimes and there Blue filtered 4times and my usb mouse sometimes does not work. (thing of mouse may be unrelated to FYI) and he ran more slowly then ussual
    I noticed that warm enough.

So I downloaded a program to monitor how hot it got. I was SHOCKED that it showed 65 degrees cpu temp (temp 42HD) is this way overheating?
    Or just minor?
How concerned should I be? Everything that can be done?

I have enough fear, I like my laptop I couldn't imagine it die on me D:
    I can't get a new one for at least a few months >< and="" ofcourse="" this="" happens="" a="" month="" or="" two="" after="" warranty="" going="" off="" argh="" my="" luck="">

If you need more information, or have any input please post :)

    Hi mate

There is no official procedure how clean the cooling modules.
Usually, you could use a jet of compressed air and could blow the air through fans.
In most cases, this will help you get rid of the dust and debris.
    But be cautious!

PS: If you have no experience and don't know how to do this then contact a technician for laptop and ask for help.

  • P7-1233w: CPU temperature problems

I made some updates for my PC recently, mainly a new power supply and a new GPU. Now my time CPU become too high. TBH, I'm not really sure what they were before.

in any case, Im using Speccy to monitor all of my time. My motherboard is usually around 30 * C, GPU usually around 34 *, and the HARD drive is usually the same. For all those who are good. But I have CPU will slow anywhere since the middle of the fifties up to 70 high years. And after playing something demanding as The Witcher III or GTA V, temperatures are much higher. Ive seen as high as 93 * C and its not uncommon for the temp to be 90 + when I close the game.

Even with these high times, I really seen performance problems, even when The Witcher III running with everthing on Ultra. Bad still get a solid 40 fps on that. So my first question is how do I know that the readings are accurate.

Ive tried a few things to get off the time. I had some Artic Silver 5 and Redid the thermal paste. Not much of a change at all. I also noticed that the heatsink fan blowing on the CPU instead of drawing air away from him. According to my research, some people like it grows and some pulling. If I swapped out the fan pulls air from the radiator now. Only I did there, so I don't know how it will affect about 30 minutes in the long run, but so far, temperatures are much the same. Maybe a little lower.

Regarding the breakdown in this case, I went from the case of the factory to a full waist after I did the GPU upgrade. I also added a few fans. The new case has a 80mm fan on the Panel I have drawing air into the case, a 120mm fan on the back that is drawing air out of the case, two 80 mm fans on the PSU, one inside hand and one on the outside and they are both pulling air out of the case. Then I have a fan on the bottom that I'm drawing air into the case. The GPU has also two fans on it, and they are directly on the fan on the bottom down.

So, my first thought is a liquid cooling. I was thinking about something like that.

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=9SIA6J32TS8512

Apart from this and something like a new, better radiator, Im really at a loss. So any advice?

No one? IM thinking that my CPU temp who maybe Im seeing double the actual temp. Which could explain why he can turn and fall very quickly sometimes.

Also, I opened the case and used my infrared thermometer on the radiator. 35 * C. His sentence warm to the touch. IM Yes CERTAINLY get bad readings. Anyway I can fix this? Or at least know what is the cause?

  • Question about the temperature of the CPU on Qosmio G20-120

My CPU temp is never less than 85 C.
When I'm working temp max is up to 115 C.
The cooler works all the time.
    Its normal?

It depends on the use of the laptop.
If the laptop uses the full CPU and the performance of the graphics card if it possible of s as the temperature increases to a higher level.

One question; the laptop is turned off automatically? If not then all work and there is no problem of overheating.
The laptop supports an overheating protection. If the temperature would be high, so the laptop would be closed automatically

  • Satellite L40 CPU is too hot?

Everest ultimate sensors show a temperature around 70 c during operation.

    This temperature is normal?
Other users have a similar temperature?

    Thank you.

    Hello

The temperature of your laptops is certainly not too high!

    You need to know some important facts;
First a few 3rd party tools don t always provide values for temperature of 100%!
Second, the internal temperature is constantly changing.

Running some games, videos, or other high performance programs would lead to higher heat dissipation and a higher temperature
This is a common behavior of laptop so don t be worried that something is wrong with your laptop ;)

By the way; the laptop supports an overheating protection. It will stop automatically if the temperature is too high.
If the computer laptop doesn t turns off automatically, your CPU temp is ok.
