Crash Time out

I am running windows vista with office 2007 on HP pavillion laptop.  A few months ago, I had a complete catastrophic accident (blue screen) and had the system back to factory settings and seems to work ok for a while.  Recently, if the computer is left on but idle for more than 15 minutes it completely freezes requiring a reboot via now button.  After the reboot, it goes through a check disk 3 steps that always ends without problem. What can be done to stop the gel after such a short time of inactivity?

I'm just curious, but I guess that you have Service Pack 2 installed...?

After a reinstall complete my Vista, my problem with 'watch a video screen of password that triggers' returned tonight. I'm totally up-to-date, six updates beyond SP2. I think that there is something wrong with the 'timing' or 'Time out' in Service Pack 2 issues, and it affects screensavers and the password prompts (or trigger these).

I found this thread tonight on another site: http://www.ureader.com/msg/14743674.aspx where some people from Microsoft are discussing similar issues.

I just got Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware tonight, so I'll run right after my defender and 4.5 a-squared ends to scan. But I think that the system is clean. I mean, it's a NEW re - install on a reformatted drive. It's something for scanners detect no, then, which means it's done on purpose in the code like this is supposed to be there (that is, something can not check users - who is going to be the thing for Microsoft to do and hopefully fix it with a new update).

tpgetrply() will wait for the response of tpacall(). When you wait, timeout can occur. If tpgetrply fails and tperrno value TPETIME (except if the flag is set to TPNOTIME), the time-out period will occur.

My question is that if the flag is not set, if timeout will happen or not?

    Thx for your answer.

    Bill,

The TPNOTIME flag must be set to the tpacall() and the tpgetrply() in order to avoid any blocking of the time-out period. (As mentioned in the documentation, it is always possible for a transaction timeout occur if your application is in a transaction.)

If a particular tpacall() should take more time than other calls, but is eventually supposed to end, you can consider the use of the API, which is available in Tuxedo 9.0 and later versions of tpsblktime(). tpsblktime() allows you to set a time on a per-call basis, which will give the call of long time he needs complete while ensuring that your application crashes not wait indefinitely for a response.

    Kind regards

  • How to adjust the time-out setting?

I'm in a certain OBIEE in Firefox which, by nature, do not take a long time to run. One of my local Technical Support people suggested increase Firefox's timeout setting (he showed me how to do this once, but I didn't write it). Can you provide instructions written (or annotated images of the screen), please?

Alright. There are two ways to do this. You can extend your timeout, or you can completely disable timeout. Depending on how you are using firefox, can be useful. If you want to extend your time-out, type about: config in your search bar on the top. From there, need you a list of preferences. There is a search bar. Type "Timeout" in there. The top two are disable the time-out and the 'County timeout'. If you want to disable the timeout, simply double-click the "enabletimeout" on the top. This will change the false value. If you want to change the value of how long it takes to timeout, double-click on the "CountTimeout" and type in your new value. If this is not sensible, see screenshots.

    Have a great day!

  • Stor.E ALU 2s no time-out

    Hello
I have several Toshiba USB hard drives, that I use as storage media with a cable TV box.
Type DTP110 turns off after a few minutes if you do not use.
Type Stor.E ALU 2s continues to operate. There is no point when not in use.
Desturbing more however is the squeaking noise when the box is turned off, which cuts the power of the forced HD.
I sent a request for Toshiba if there is a tool to set the time-out, no response.
    Anyone know a solution?

    See you soon,.
    kyriako.

    Hello

I don't have a solution for you, but I may be able to enlighten us.
It is likely that the hard drive does not meet the host power management controls.
I don't think it's possible to solve by any other piece of software, unless it's an update of the firmware.
If you want you can chech in running a modern Linux host and attaching this player.
Run the drives under Gnome application and try to read the SMART attributes and / or request a counters.

The results it will show the way.
Success at the point of Linux to a kind of incompatibility between the HARD drive and your device.
Same result in Linux shows that the HARD drive does not respond to these common commands and there is not much to do about it.

  • error message "kauth resolver external time out."

    Hello

Pay my iMac (21.5 inch, end of 2013, 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5 processor) bought with Maverick, I went successively to Yosemite and then to El captain. And since then, I have a problem starting not to power: the progress bar stuck at 60%. Start-up in Verbose mode, I get the message "kauth resolver external time out."

The only solution is to "turn off, is dry, and tension to under 30." This second time under tension, the mac restarts. A solution that is not terrible.

I used OnyX, but no verification has failed to solve the problem, everything looks ok.
Who has a solution pour troubleshoot this problem?

    Thank you for your help.

I too have this problem sporadically with some of our iMacs us upgrades 10.11.3 (from 10.10).  By chance are your iMacs have records of merger?

  • A time-out of the finite queue of wiring allows parallelism?

I have several loops (11) all running in parallel, set up with a producer--> several consumer-> multiple consumer architecture.

In each of the loops of consumer, I wired the values of time-out on the order of 1 second each of the vi "remove item" which feed on each loop. However, the overall performance of all vi is very slugish.  I have no expectation s vi in the loops of consumer, I guess the time queue supports this feature and allows labview to work its magic of parallelism. This hypothesis is correct?

For what it's worth, the loop of the producer bed synchronously large shared memory double paintings representing the acquired data and post processed in RT through virtualization (hypervisor). The loop of producer implements an element of expectation. This loop of producer distributes the data to the various queues, depending on the data type meta code embedded in the data of recevied. Then, first consumer level loops review data, update some PLC tags accordingly (via the datasocket connection) and, under certain conditions, send signals well formatted the next level consumer loops that manages storage PDM.

Each consumer has a dedicated queue and each of them are powered by several producers to the top of the pipe. I put vi waiting in each loop of consumer with a value of about half of the time waiting for data to arrive, and it did not help at all. However, the problem has been resolved by configuring the properties of execution of almost all under vi as priority of subroutine, returning with dedicated allocation of memory. I know it's basic stuff that I should have checked before hand, but everything works fine now.

    Thanks for the help anyway!

  • Time-out in the structure of the event

    Hello

I try to configure the time-out period in the structure of the 5s event using the loop, as shown in the picture as an attachment. The problem is that this time-out event occurred only when I code debugging and does not happen when I run the same without debugging. Any suggestions on this?

    Thank you!

OK, just use VISA Read to read the first three octets.  Then do another set VISA Read the number of bytes defined in dlen.  If the data does not, then you will get a VISA expiration time.

  • VISA Read.vi time-out

    Hello

Recently I happened to use Labview drivers of NewPort (ESP301) and Lakeshore (Lsci218) and I encountered the same problem of "time out" every time that a Subvi driver called VISA Read.vi for serial communication.

I first thought has problems with driver Labview provided by the manufacturers, but after trying the pilot different LV from different companies, I started to think that the problem might be the Read.vi VISA itself.

I use LV2010-spring, also tested with LV2011SP1. Both give the same timeout problem.

I asked businesses about the problem, they have not found answers, nor they have LV2010 or LV2011.

    Someone had the same problem?

Screw joint are FYI for what I tested.

'test initialize.vi 218' is 218 Lakeshore pilot, with a change of the addition of "\r\n" in the "* IDN? the Subvi called VISA Read.vi. and a timeout error.

"test initialize 218 - md2.vi ' has the same function, but call VISAWriteRead.vi instead of VISA Read.vi. and works OK.

How can I know that the VISA Read.vi in LV2010 or LV2011 works correctly? or can I replace the VISA Read.vi with LV8.6 one?

It seems to me that Newport and pilot LV lakeshore have been developed under version LV does not exceed 8.6. and I think that they tried their driver before release or I hope.

    any suggestion is appreciated.

    Xiaofeng

The version of LabVIEW is not relevant.

In the read/write, you add the LF/CR. In the other, you add CR/LF.

Avoid platform dependent end consistent line in the communication of the instrument.

  • How to set up a time-out Message of ERROR.

    Hi all

I need to put in place a waiting time (for example 400 MS)

    to read sensors for YOU.

If its not arrive I need to display the error message.

I implement this in folowing way...

But I am not satisfied by this method...

    is this good method.

    I've attached my VI file

You can replace the functionality of Count_XL you made by simply using the iteration Terminal at the bottom left of your loop.

As for make a time-out, you can use the express VI to check if a certain amount of elapsed time and the end of the loop if your sensor is true or time elapsed time.  There are many ways to do it, but the best way will be determined by how you want your app to work.

  • time-out error

    Hello

I get an error of delay in my exe file but its not working in laptop but its does not work in desktop basically I m do mannully x and axis are using servo motor control first meters in mannully and I'll store data and after I'll are automatically at the time where I get error of wait time at the office. In the same office before it was working now its time-out error is. Please tell me the solution. actully I change office in this office than m... timeout error please tell me the solution.

    Thank you.

Hi, I had the answer... I solved the problem of my problem, I have already mentioned above (in his work at the office laptop its does not work) Finally I solved the problem is (I use delta servo motor control, I was using the communication cable connection is not based) in connection only. Finally I gave the connection now its fantastic work...

  • PCIe-1429 randome time-out errors

I use a card National Instruments PCIe - 1429 Camera Link which gives timeout errors about 20% of the time every time that the show clock is stopped and restarted.

The problem I see occurs for a 1-tap 16-bit and 8-bit 8 - tap camera configuration.  Every time the camera changes modes show link camera clock is momentarily interrupted, and PCIe-1429 is unable to acquire an image of 20% of the time.

In Measurement & Automation Explorer, it returns the error: "a timeout error has occurred while you wait for the specified event.  If you expect a picture, make sure all the video data is acquired during the period.  If you wait for a signal, check that the assertion of signal occurs within the period.

Now, I know that my timing is correct because if I simply stop the clock to show again the PCIe-1429 will begin to acquire images.  He was to acquire and then always correctly the images until the next time the clock of transmission is interrupted.  It is on a probability of 20% of a timeout error if the clock of transmission is interrupted.  It behaves like the phase PCIe-1429 liaison camera receiver locking loop has re-synchronization problems.

Our camera (an intern built Kodak) uses the National Semiconductor DS90CR287 channel link transmitter.  When the PCIe-1429 gives a timeout error, I check the clock of transmission DS90CR287 on an oscilloscope and it looks always good.

Is this a known issue with the PCIe-1429 or a known sender of DS90CR287 problem?

Apparently, there is a bug in the DS90CR287 channel link serializer.  The phase lock loop, sometimes fails to produce a clock output series of acquisition card and the operating cycle if the input clocks are interrupted.  A phase lock loop should be able to recover from that.  We noticed that National Semiconductor changed their sheets to require power cycling the DS90CR287 after all of the input clocks are interrupted.  We have implemented the procedure of power cycle and time-out errors now appear to have stopped.

    All fixed!
