Create a 11.2.0.1 DBConsole windows Server 2003 32-bit
HelloI installed a database of 11 GR 2 (11.2.0.1) on a windows Server 2003 32-bit. Now, I have to create it's dbconsole, since I did not do it on the installation and the creation of the database.
I searched through the notes 278100.1 , and it explains how to create a DB 11.2. What I found, it was that he made the launch of this command:
EMCA - config dbcontrol db-rest create
Is that ok? And if it is, at the end of the process it will say por which affected the em Console?
Thank you
Hello
EMCA - config dbcontrol db-rest create
It should work.
Is that ok? And if it is, at the end of the process it will say por which affected the em Console?
Yes, you will have the full URL to connect to the DBConsole.
Hope this helps.
Best regards

I recently reinstalled one of our Terminal Server Windows Server 2003 (64-bit) servers.
When you connect via RDP, I get 2 mouse pointers. One seems to be the pointer to the session that changes of hourglass, etc... and the pointer remains under the arrow.I have all the updates that are installed.
There is no options on the RDP settings like what I use on other RDP to the other Terminal server sessions and is not on any other I RDP server on my client.I connected as other RDP clients and get with the same problem, is not a customer number
Is there a setting on the server to disable this option?How can I remove the pointer that does not change in the session?

I'm in a difficult situtaition here. I am the daily contact with a new client. My linux guy, who is also my boss who is very busy, asked me to do some research trying to find answers for what's not on this server. We have a dual Quad Core 2.5 Ghz Lenovo server with 10 GB of ram. 2 500 GB hard drives are Raid 1. We run Virtual Server VMWare 2 on a Debian with Gnome installation as a user interface for the side of things Linux. Grub is the boot loader. There are two virtual machines running on the server. The one machine that serves as a domain controller is a Windows SBS 2008 Server 64 bit, and the secondary machine has no responsibility domain. The second machine is a Windows Server 2003 32-bit. the 10 GB of ram 6 GB is allocated to the SBS server and 4 GB to the 2003 server.
The problem I am running into is that everything is so slow, especially if I connect remotely to do any sort of administration on the network. Some examples of issues I've noticed is that as soon as I log on the server via Remote Desktop SBS console management Windows Server spike to 80-95% CPU usage and it will not stop unless I close the management console. Another instance is that if I open Backup Exec 12.5 on the SBS server it will kill the speed of the processor as well. Long story short, there are a lot of machine to do what we need to do, but something is not configured right and non of us know what it is. Another point to note is that the server has been in production for about 3 weeks, and the server seemed to have locked up just twice. My professional guess is that over time, some chose thing is eating causing the crash of the memory.
Sorry I do not have much technical insight on this topic, but this is the best I have to offer. Any questions you all have, I'll ask my people and see if I can answer, but I could really use your help here.
Thank you in advance,
Heath
2 things:
1 you really need hard drives more than 2 in a RAID 1 for proper performance under load. More disks the better. Although I don't think that's what your problem is, he'll probably be the problem Next you will do.
2. I don't know exactly where the configuration file is on your box of Debian for VMware Server, but you should consider adding the following options in the configuration file (on windows, it's the vmware 'config.ini'):
prefvmx.minVmMemPct = "100".
MemTrimRate = 0
sched.mem.pshare.Enable = "FALSE".
mainMem.useNamedFile = "FALSE".
If you do some research, you can read about what these options (the largest is the memory page sharing - it should only be left on if you have a bunch of similar virtual machines running on the same box, that you don't have.) I honestly know why this is on by default, he kills the CPU when virtual machines are running different operating systems). These are the options that I now use standard in VMware Server deployments, with huge performance increases after you have added the. Just give a try.
Edit: Also make sure that you have installed in your virtual machines VMware tools.

Check out this link to validate windows.

Install on Windows Server 2003 32-bit OBIEE
Hi all
I try to install OBIEE on Windows Server 2003. I have installed the Java SDK from here:
http://Java.Sun.com/javase/downloads/index_jdk5.jsp
Then I set the JAVA_HOME to be D:\Sun\SDK and %JAVA_HOME%\bin we add the path in the system variables.
There is also a variable user called Administrator PATH with the value D:\Sun\SDK\bin.
When I run Setup OBIEE, I wonder for the location of the JDK (JAVA_HOME), but no matter what I come here, I get the following error:
"Please specify a location for installation of JDK valid."
I tried D:\Sun\SDK, D:\Sun\SDK\bin and a few others too, but nothing seems to work.
Any ideas would be appreciated.Hi Alex,
Try D:\Sun\SDK\jdk

3 Ran Malwarebyte and ATS, and no malware has been detected
4. check the proxy settings and none are enabled
Any other suggestions?

Published by: Alok Dubey March 9, 2011 17:03Hi Alok,
glad to see that you have solved it.for the list of tasks, it will be not so complicated that it should be the same as 10g (.. .excepting the location of the file ;-)))
1.
Equip your\forms\java of your "icons.jar".
configure your formsweb.cfg + (this file is located in\servers\WLS_FORMS\applications\formsapp_11.1.1\config+)
for example, C:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\ClassicDomain\serversWLS_FORMS\applications\formsapp_11.1.1\config)
through EM and add in the archives after the frmall.jar tag, icons.jar2.
you map key to the desired file frmxxx.res in\config\FormsComponent\forms or \forms\ (don't really know which is used)
and you have your formsweb.cfg set term = yourfrm.ressome useful links [url http://st-curriculum.oracle.com/obe/forms/11g/formsem/formsem.htm] using Oracle Enterprise Manager to administer the Forms Services
Hope this helps

Hi Srini,
The problem is resolved. Thanks for your reply.
The question is, is Windows server 2003 32-bit, and I try to install database 11g 64 bit. I tried to install database 11g 32-bit. Before that, I erased the traces of the virtual machine in my host system and reinstalled and tried. It worked.
Thank you

GPIB-USB-HS Windows Server 2003 driver available?
I tried to install the GPIB-USB-HS device on our system of Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard 32 - Bit (German) with the last driver NI488.2 3.0 package.
But the driver seems to be evil. After restarting Windows comes up with an error and event poster of the errors of several Viewer too:
-The "nipxirmk" service failed to start due to the following error: the specified driver is invalid
I think that the latest package isn't compatible Win Server 2003 but that it is announced at ni.com.
Is it possible to install GPIB-USB-HS on a Win 2003 Server machine?
Thanks for your help

Windows Server 2003 32-bit R2 enables PAE by default ("physical address Extension") mode for addressing memory above the 4 GB limit. National Instruments supports this operating system, it does not address memory above the 4 GB limit by using EAP setting and many pilots OR will fail to load if this setting is enabled. (Note that your computer may intuitively put some of your memory above the 4 GB limit, even if you only have 4 GB of RAM).
On Windows Server 2003, you can disable the EAP or prevent Windows to use addresses beyond 4 GB, which allows loading the drivers EITHER. Please see KB 54D9I6M6: OR software failure when PAE (physical address Extension) is activated on Windows operat... for more information.
