create a bootdisk on a memory stick

I would like to create a bootable disk or a disk image on a stick of memory from 32 GB to be used as a startup. I buy a new Mac, iMac or a Macbook. I would like to know the migration process only certain apps and files, for example, what is the actual method. I don't want to clutter the new mac with everything I don't want to use in this regard. I migrated from a Mac to a newer version before, but it was the disc that only moved problems as well.

Thank you

32 GB memory stick.  You can install a bootable using Diskmaker X Installer

<http://liondiskmaker.com>

Or you can install an OS X on it.  But you can not install this copy, except by cloning on another disk using something like Carbon Copy Cloner, SuperDuper or disk-> utility restore.

You are in the forum Lion, so I should mention that if you buy a new Mac, it will come with El Capitan, and the new system will work NOT Lion.

Applications-> utilities-> Migration Assistant to transfer selected data classes, but it is not very well underseeded.

You can drag and drop some of your applications and data (assuming that the Applications do not store things in other folders).  Some things, like your email, browser bookmarks, backup iPhone, application preferences, etc... are in your folder-> library (Finder-> go-> (hold down Option Key)-> library).

It may be best to simply re - install all the apps.

You can use a utility such as Carbon Copy Cloner to transfer data.  He has the ability to transfer selected files, as well as all the property and the attributes of the file.

Better to keep a full backup of your current system so that you can go back and get things you forgot.

    Hello

Are you able to copy or move files or folders in the hard drive?

Step 1: Run the fix it tool in the following article and check.

Diagnose and repair Windows files and folders problems automatically
    http://support.Microsoft.com/mats/windows_file_and_folder_diag/

Step 2: If the memory stick is empty then you can try to format and then search for the question.

    Here's how:

    1. right click on the memory stick and select format.
    2. click on the Start button.

  • Re organization command photo on a memory stick.

I've got El Capitan installed on my Apple Pro. I got a few photos scanned (all at the same time) and saved on a memory stick. I saw the pictures, and now I want to rearrange the photos for a presentation. I dragged and moved photos to create the order I wanted. However when I saw pictures again, I found that they had returned back to their original positions. I obviously did not have something that would be ' locked their ' in their new order. I would like some advice. Thank you.

The only way to force a particular order is to add a prefix or a suffix to the files in the order of your choice. That is to say, 1filename.png, 2filename.png, etc.

  • New Installation of Windows 10 using Memory Stick

Installed Windows 10 of a download of Microsoft with the iso installed on a memory stick with training camp. After you have created a Bootcamp partition I couldn't install Windows on Bootcamp partition due to an error message 'GPT Partition Style'. Reformatting of the Windows installation screen did not help. The solution came as a surprise. I was start from the windows 'disc' when I should have used the IEF 'drive '. After starting the EFI, reformatting of the Bootcamp partition disk worked and the installation went well, with the exception of the Setup screen was too small to read easily. Fortunately, I was familiar with the installation of the failure of the previous installation screens.

Windows 10 works fine now. The link below is what led me to a solution.

    http://code-zest.blogspot.com/2015/02/Windows-8-install-GPT-partition-style.html

Your MAC supports two installation methods, inherited from the BIOS/MBR (used for XP, Vista, W7) and EFI/GPT (W8 +, W10). The first method requires a hybrid MBR to 'map' the GPT to a MBR-look-alike. EFI/GPT boots are 'native' and faster than the legacy method.

  • SLATE 21 MEMORY STICK

Hi, I have a slate 21 my problem is that when I plug in my memory stick I can see it in the file manager, but not the content. All the files on the memory stick are in Hp media player and the books I have on there under the picture so that I can't read.

The other problem is that when I try to copy something on the memory stick Manager of files stops and shows me unfortunately, file manager HP has ceased. Can you please tell me how to fix it.

(Sorry if I misspelled. I am from Romania)

We do not support the rooting in any form.

Our system does not prohibit this. As mentioned earlier, the operating system Android 4.4 KitKat won't allow any application, including the operating system itself, to move or manipulate files that are not in the same location as the application itself.

    I.S. = internal storage

    External storage = E.S.

    Application = AppA

    Request B = AppB

If AppA is on I.S., he should be able to read and use files on I.S. or E.S., but cannot move, delete or create files on E.S.

If expediency is on E.S., it should be able to read and use files on I.S. or E.S., but cannot move, delete or create files on I.S.

  • transfer movies from iPad memory stick

I want to take a memory stick with movies and TV shows with me when I travel and read them on my iPad mini. How can I do this?

Most likely, not with a memory stick.

There are some out there like the Kingston WiDrive, which creates a localized business hotspot that you connect your iPad to and flow of content from there. That said, people have reported problems with iTunes digital files do not allow people to listen to the files. So if you have iTunes movies or something with the digital rights management so you can be out of luck.

If you have something like the movies at home or homemade video files you can pretty much use the camera connection kit to fool your iPad thinking an SD card containing video files are files recorded by a camera. Basically, you take an SD card, put a folder named DCIM top using your computer. Then you put your video files in the DCIM folder on the card. All files must have a file name exactly 8 characters to mimic how a camera would name the files.

Plug the camera connection kit and open the photos app. You should see the files come... but all you see is a black box with the duration. You will not see the names of files.

All videos must be imported into the iPad. Import you them, then tap them in the photos app. This will open the video app and you can watch it.

It works but only for files not DRM.

    Thank you gary bint

    [Moved from comments]

    ===============================================
If you insert the memory card into your Media Player
or connect the frame to the computer via a USB cable and
Reach... Start / computer... the media player or
framework should be assigned to a drive letter... probably
something like... Disk removable (e :))...

If there are several removable disks, you can
Click on it and choose open or explore in the
menu to see the directory... one who displays
the names of your photo will be the memory card...

Once you have the identified the correct drive letter
for the card, try memory which follow...

Go to your folder of photos... right click on a thumbnail
or a selected thumbnail and in the menu group...
choose... Send to... (select the memory card drive letter)...
For example... Disk removable (e :))...

The option send to may not appear in Windows Photo
Gallery if you prefer to work from there... so you will need
to copy the selected photos and paste them into a new
folder on your desktop... then you can use the send to
option. Or you can navigate to start / computer and
Click with the right button on the memory card, and then in the menu drive letter
    Choose Paste.

Tip: Only a limited number of files can be copied to
the root directory of the memory card... you can see
a dialog box indicating: "the file or directory cannot be.
created"... to correct this problem create folders on the
memory card to sort your photos.

    then

    • Turn off (preferably uninstall) your Antivirus utility before you perform the upgrade.
    • Reboot several times, and then try again.
    • Disable the general USB peripherals (for example - smart card reader).
    • If you are using a SCSI drive, make sure you have the drivers available for your storage on a thumdrive device and it is connected. During the installation of Windows 10, click on the advanced custom Option and use the command load driver to load the driver for the SCSI drive. • move pictures from a memory stick in a different place, and release in addition to the memory stick. I find that the pictures (copies) are always on the memory stick

I don't want to make copies, which I already have, I want to get out in addition to the memory stick of mnving content in a portable hard drive permanently. My photos are totally assembled in 3 different places in my windows computer (not my fault) Photo Gallery, I don't want the images there are... My collection is private.  Picasa collects all the photos again. I want the originals stored for future use in a hard drive laptop or on disks.

I do not use the photo gallery, you just need a viewer to open the pix.

Also, I don't know why you get 4 copies. Some libraries can be deleted if you do not use. I don't remember those that can be deleted, so you'll just to test.

If I understand correctly: create a folder for the original user and another for the edited pix. After you have moved the pix on the flash drive, you can delete the content of this file and it is there and empty for the next round of pix.
