Create a partition pour Iso installation

Hello to all,

I have a small question to know how to create a partition and how to put the files on it pour put my ISO of the OS that I vousdrais Installer suite the nominal. This EST possible?

I'm on ESXi 4.1

KNPC

You can drop your ISO on current data warehouses or create an another data store (so generally by adding an extra disk). The ideal is a countenance a NAS that is NFS/CIFS so you can copy the ISO en CIFS from a post on Windows and mount the same disk on a permanent basis in NFS on your ESXi

  • Cannot create a partition during the installation of Windows 7

When I want to create a new partition on the unallocated space during the installation of Windows 7 in custom option on that I enter the size of the partition size I wanted and click apply, but nothing happens and cannot install Windows 7, but the same thing can be done by my old Windows XP CD. My computer is Dell Inspirion - 620... When I was clicking on an already partitioned space to install, error message is that there was not much free space in partitioned space was similarly if I formatted the partition of 75 GB and all 75 GB of free space and so on showing the screen.

Try to increase the size of the partition and see what happens.

Windows 7 would probably work on a 75 GB partition, but you will run out of space real fast at that size. A minimum of 120 GB would be better.

Another thing you could try is to simply create a major score for the entire disk, then after you have installed Windows, go to "disk management" and create your other partitions.

Personally, I don't see what good it does to have multiple partitions on the same drive. If the drive fails, all of your partitions went anyway.

  • Re: Satellite L40 PSL48E: can I create a partition Vista installation disc

    Hello

My Satellite L40 PSL48E came with a Vista recovery partition.
As I despise Vista I bought a replacement drive and installed a new hard drive and installed XP pro.
I retained the original drive in case I've never had a claim under warranty.

Now, I find that, because of work, commitments, I occsionally use the despised Vista trash and wonder if it is possible to create a partition on the original disc installation disc so tha ti can create a system dual boot on my new drive.

I am very reluctant to BUY a new Vista CD, since I already have a perfectly legal copy on a disk, which I am not using and I'll use it only rarely for this commitment to work.

    Any information received with gratitude

    Thank you Ron

Hmm. If you have a HARD drive recovery option, then a complete image has been placed on the HARD drive and generally all cell phones with HARD drive recovery option is supported by a tool called TOSHIBA Recovery Disc Creator Toshiba.

With this tool, you can create a Vista recovery DVD If the OS Vista, have been damaged, you can also try to start the computer by pressing the F8 key.
This would allow an advanced boot menu.
Here you must choose repair computer

But note; This option is available only on laptops with HDD Recovery

  • Fusion 6/6.0.1 and Mavericks Developer Preview 4 - installer does not create recovery partition

I can't get a new facility for the Mavericks by using the last full download available on the Mac App Store (DP-4), to create a recovery during the installation partition. I always find myself with just an EFI and the main boot partition. The recovery partition is required to test the new features of FileVault 2. Has anyone of another seen elsewhere or found a solution? I filed a bug with Apple, but I feel it's more a VMware bug as installer even on a physical machine did in fact create a recovery partition. I tried to change the type of the machine virtual of SATA SCSI hard drive, but that has not made a difference.

    Thank you

We looked at and we can confirm that the problem comes from the merger, not the Mavericks. We are working on a fix.

  • Need to create a back-up of installer of windows 7 on my drive flash, but because the site does not accept my product key

Original title: product key error Windows 7

    Hello!

I need to clean my office completely. However, I had installed on this PC by a company, with that I can't connect, and the windows Web site does not accept my product key. I create a back-up of installer of windows 7 on my flash drive, but because the site will not accept my product key, I can't do it.

    Any help?

Step 1: Download a copy of Windows 7:

For 5 years, Microsoft made it fairly easy for users of the Windows 7 operating system to get reinstall media. If you have lost your support disc or installation retail collection; either it has been damaged or defective; You can download a copy of the edition that you have licensed from a membership site called Digital River. More recently, Microsoft ended the availability to reinstall media that you can download as a. File ISO in Digital River, which is a digital reproduction of an optical disc.

It was particularly convenient for people who could not easily get the manufacturer's recovery media, did not want to pay the fees required to get or preferred a clean configuration without the software packaged manufacturers or even a recovery partition does not work. It's easy to use, all you had to do was reinstall and reactivate using the product key located on the certificate of authenticity and download all the drivers on the manufacturers website.

Given that this option is no longer available, what are your options? See the article for more details:

How to: What are my options for Windows 7 reinstall media?

Make sure you scroll down and read the section:

What to do if you cannot get your manufacturer recovery media, refuse to use or to buy it or the Microsoft Software Recovery Website does not work?

Step 2: Perform a custom installation, see Windows 7 section of the following article how to perform a custom installation:

  • How to create a partition on a Satellite A200 - 14 d?

    Hello

I have a problem with my scores as I'd first on the laptop 2 apparent partitions on the HARD disk, labeled C:\Vista
(Vista Home Premium) and E:\Data (57GB and respective 55GO). I decided to format vista because I had some problems with the FN key. After using the product recovery CD to install fresh windows that I enjoyed, I have only one partition at a total of about 115 GB. I wanted to have at least two partitions, so I used once again the CD to reinstall windows and try to find out how I can make a partition during the installation. After I chose the language there was a window saying that I can adjust my disk space, so I did, distribution of 40 GB on the partition where windows should be installed, assuming that the rest of the HARD drive label is distributed to a second partition.

After that I reinstalled and did all the updates, I had a big surprise to see that I have 1 single partition with 39 GB. Now, I used Device Manager to see what the problem is. I went to the properties/volume of HARD drive section and clicked on fill. Here, it shows the 40 GB windows partition and unallocated space of aprox 72GO. My main problem is I have to have this space partitionated and since the recovery disk does not give me this option is there any other way vista can make a partition with the remaining space? I look forward for some advice please.

    Thank you

    Hello

Don t worry dude it is all right. It seems that the partition was created but not activated.
After the Windows Vista installation please go to managing disks.
You will find the first partition C and maybe a second or only one free space.

If you want you can shrink the C partition first. After this process, you can right-click on the free space and create a second partition or add free space to the second partion that is already created.

    Good luck and best regards

  • creating a Windows 7 .iso image

I want to create a Windows 7 .iso image, so I can load it on a USB key.  I have Windows 7 currently on my computer, I have the Windows 7 upgrade disk that I bought at retail.  If I had downloaded Windows 7 from the Microsoft Store I could have downloaded the iso file - is it possible now to create this iso file or my drive upgrade or my Windows 7 system load?

One of the things that the OP asked was an iso of the loaded image.

I him have not tried, but if I plug my USB flash drive before you begin to "Create a system image", is one of the options shown in the drop-down list as to where I can save the iso.

But when you make a Windows 7 system image it does not create an ISO file. ISO is an image of a CD or DVD and not the same thing as a system. While both use the word 'image', they are very different.

To make a bootable flash drive to install Windows 7, which is what he wants, you must copy the installation DVD.

Copy/imaging system installed will not work, but it allows you to restore Windows 7 in its current state instead of install Windows 7.

  • Windows could not format a partition on disk 0. The error occurred when preparing the partition selected for installation. Error code: 0 x 80070057

So I just finished my first build. All this POST-ed fine, but I can't get 8.1 Microsoft 64-bit OEM installed on my SSD.

At first I could start a custom installation and it went through fine until the first reboot. This is where it says "disc error". I tried again hoping it would go but noticed a 350 MB "System reserved" Partition with the rest of my space unallocated in my 1st attempt to install.
I googled this problem and was told to remove the reserve system, so Windows could create its own partition, or something of that kind.
Installation works well until you restart again, where this time it says press any key to boot from the cd drive or something of the sort so I don't hope that Windows 8 would be to continue the installation. However, he wanted to just restart the entire system again!
I try once more in the hope that it would work, I remove the additional partitions created and repeat and this time I can't even begin installation due to the message in the title of this post.
    Since I was:
-Make sure SSD has been selected for AHCI (it was already on it)
-Reconnected given SSD + cables power as well as the CD player on shutdown and reboot
-Run Diskpart to repair the boot with these commands:
    -diskpart
    -disk list
    -select disk 0
    -clean
    -output
Same error code came again after attempting to reinstall. So I tried a few other commands:
    -diskpart

    -clean all the
at this point, he said: DiskPart has encountered an error: the request could not be performed because of an i/o device error.

The ESXi uses about 5 GB of disk space for internal use, the rest could be used for your virtual machines. Running a Microsoft Cluster virtual has many different conditions, but it might be possible to install in your situation (assuming of course that it is a test configuration). See this document for more information on the configuration of the "cluster-in-a-box", page 10:

  • How can I safely create a partition on a drive already bootable

    Hi all

I recently bought an external hard drive to 500 GB with the intention of using it to store large files that I use on my Mac and use it as a drive bootable to Windows.

I followed this tutorial to make the bootable drive on Windows 10, everything works well for the part.

Now, I want to be able to partition the drive so that I can have the 2 parties for Windows (1 part that contains the info to start, 1 that contains Windows) and 1 part that I can use on the Mac side to store files. I thought I could easy to use operation of partition on disk utility application, but the operation is grayed out. I found a lot of answers on the forums, but none of them is exactly what I'm looking for. No idea how I can achieve this?

The real state of the reader:

Thanks in advance and have a nice day!

This disc is an MBR disk with an NTFS partition full using the disk set. Disk utility cannot resize an NTFS partition.

You'll need to create a partition, once Windows is installed, or erase the disc and convert a GPT disk, partition first with a part for Mac and then perform the steps in the tutorial of the game for Windows.

If you look at step 12, using the rest of the disc completely.
