Create an association in the set liaison Panel

I try to open an attachment that is winmail.dat.  He told me to create association in set binding configuration panel.  It is supposed to be an Excel attachment.

This isn't an excel attachment: any file that you thought that you receive has not been received.  Winmail.dat, this is what is transmitted when there is a breach of electronic mail routing.  Contact the person or company who sent you the file.

    Ideas:

    • You have problems with programs
    • Error messages
    • Recent changes to your computer
    • What you have already tried to solve the problem

You need a program on your system to open these documents (file types), and the program must be associated with the file type. Go to start / Default programs / associate a file or Protocol with a program and scroll down to the types of files of these documents.  Can the default program open this type of file or the file type is same?  If this isn't the case, you will need to install a software that can read and open possibly work with the types of files in question.  Exactly which types of files you can not read (what are their extensions - the three digit after the name of the file identifier). ?  If you do not see the extension, go to start / Control Panel / folder Options / View / and uncheck Hide extensions of known and then file types try to look at the files again.

  • When I double-click a folder or a drive, I get a "this file has no program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the Folder Options panel' message.

I studied a lot of information to solve this problem, but whenever I click on my drives in my computer or folder, it comes up with this error message. No matter what I do, the error remains. The strange thing is,I can click right and always open folders normally with the "Open" option, it's just that Ican't double-click on a folder and access it using Windows Explorer. I think it might be a virus or something, but I'm not a computer expert. Anyone know how I can fix without wiping my computer?

    I tried the things:

    (1) I have SystemSuite Pro 10 (2009), so I used that to try to scan deep and does all the options I could. I found 4 Trojan files in my files of java for a reason, but I deleted them.

    (2) some sites suggest a problem with the registry, so I tried the fixes for those who did not.

    (3) I had a system checkpoint to restore old and just tried to restore my computer to that, but the problem persisted.

    (4) I used guest trying to access Windows Explorer and some of my other files, but the error message comes up again. It seems impossible to access Windows Explorer.

Please help me. Although it is a small problem, I really like my new computer to stay in the best shape possible and not have to do a right-click on each folder just to open it.

Through the judicious use of recovery by timestamp and the creation of restore before loading points each of the last batch of updates one at a time and most importantly, cold computer start, not reboot. It turns out that I suspected that one of these updates has indeed caused the problem.
