  It's just how it works - effects make within the layer. You need to first compose your picture to a model corresponding to the size of your other model, then apply the Shatter that layer in a main composition.

  No color in the PS7 match, I think. You might try a yellow to red gradient layer on top of the image, set one of the blending modes. Or give a trial of CS5.

• Premiere Pro - number during video export with effects of gloss applied

  I created a video in Premiere Pro, in which I added some effects highlighted using the video effect of brightness. In the preview, everything looks fine, but when I export (like H.264 / / 'corresponds to the source - broadband' preset) the resulting video flashes like a strobe light in all the places where I used the effect of brightness. Does anyone know what could be the cause? I'm not an expert in Premiere Pro (as it might already be obvious), but the same video has already been correctly exported before, using the preset even, so I don't know what could be the problem now.   There are ways to hide and even key them with all the effects of color images, you could try to do this with the Lumetri group and the color workspace. I moved the effects Panel on the right with the Lumetri effect controls panel in the color workspace... Notice, if you go into control panel Lumetri here, you have direct access to the masking.

  If you type "burst" in aid of field research in the upper right of EI the first link takes you the After Effects / effects Simulation help page. If you click on the effect of brightness (the sixth link in the list) need you specific instructions for the glow effect where the strength and the RADIUS are explained in the first paragraph. There are also links to a bunch of tutorials and other resources for the effect. Further down, you will find a more detailed description of the controls Force 1 and 2 Force including the citation that Todd gave above.

  I'm not doubting that you gave a glance before replying, but too many people expect that everything in AE has a simple click and solve the solution. More read you, the more you use the tools and community resources, you will learn how things work and the best and faster you will become to your business. In fact, I spend about 2 hours a week, just read more stuff in the help files that I have not watched for a while, just to stand. I also use the search box in help in AE all the time to check other possible techniques used by others in the community of the AE. If you do this then you will become a better artist in less time. Relying on the forums of users for a click and solve solution won't do much to help you learn how to work the AE.

• What happened to the glow effect?

  I built this site and posted before my recent conversation with the paid version. I have a logo (png file) that I placed and applied the effect of brightness in the Muse. He looked very well before.  After the transition to the paid version looks now quite bad.

  There is a bug with the resized images of PNG that was first reported by a customer 2 or 3 days ago now. He is currently actively worked on. Thank you for taking the time to report it.

  In the meantime I think you should be able to avoid this bug if you resize the image PNG outside the Muse (in Photoshop, Fireworks or other image editor) to the exact size you need and then place this image in Muse. We believe that the bug is introduced by the image resize code in Muse, kind of resizing outside the Muse should avoid black speckled artifacts.

  Sorry for the inconvenience. As soon as we have this isolated, fixed and tested, I expect that we will get an update (probably in the next couple weeks).

• Problems of chronology/image/color effect with CS5...

  I'm about to drill a hole in my wall. I built transitions in the same way in Flash for more than ten years and for the life of me I can't figure out how to do in CS5. All I'm doing is to have light up all the letters (symbols) of a sentence. After that they all lights in unison, I'll pass their respective duration so that they light up in sequence, one after the other. Once again, I've done it a million times.

  The way I used to achieve this effect, and I can't understand why he would do anything differently, is to give them all the same number of frames of the interpolated movement, add one or two keyframes for each of them (depending on whether I wanted them to animate immediately or delay for a bit), then drag - select all objects on the stage with the stylus on the last keyframe and change their color properties. As none of the Veterans CS4/5 you probably already know that no longer works.

  Now, when I drag - select all the symbols in the last picture, all of their duration of all are selected. Curiously, if I change the effect of color at this stage, the symbols ending change... but the intermediate image key - the one who was supposed to be keeping the static symbols until I was ready to change - is not respected; the effect of light takes place throughout the entire motion tween, not only between the last two keyframes. I see now that I can get back their brightness to '0' if I select them by force, but I can't just ditch the effect of brightness on the whole, I could in CS3 and before, because it kills the effect of brightness on the final key frames. It seems simply to be * much * more trouble than what it should be.

  Sorry for the long post, but I'm at my wit's end and I can't find an explanation anywhere online. I like the idea of query editor and want to learn how to use it, but this isn't a good start, it seems to do a very simple task that is unnecessarily complicated.   Of your screenshots, it seems that you are using the interpolations of the 'new '. You probably want to use a classic motion tweens. Classic tweens will show you the arrow from one keyframe to another. A classic Tween is applied to the first keyframe, after defining at least two keyframes. The interpolations of the 'new' are applied since the departure of the keyframe to the section where the playback head. You can then use the query editor to apply finesse to the interpolation of "new". Too complex, confused and very badly documented.

  I am running After Effects 9.0.2 on a maxed out MacBook Pro-life processor 3.06 Core 2 Duo, 8 GB memory, Mac OS X 10.5.8- and my settings memory are extremely conservative-no multi-processing, a lot of RAM for AE, flying over 4 GB. I can wait a little longer if it helps to avoid a deadlock, but nothing helped.

  No matter what treatment settings I try, After Effects no longer responds and the cursor "anime" on a certain range (894). I've isolated makes only a few images around this framework, and I tried all the previous problems once again, still nothing. It seems that the AdobeCrashDaemon is not picking up on the spot, because I could not submit anything to Adobe, I got no error message and I have to force quit the application manually.

  I try to make out with the movie settings-Quicktime "Loseless" etc. and added audio (default settings). I also tried several other exits without success.

  I tried the purge of executives all 30 and many different RAM, OpenGL, PCBs and assortment of configurations. Nothing works. I can't any kind either error message, I tried of you connecting make by image and tried ignoring errors in the menu secrets so that they could be connected, still nothing. Any tips?

  I am fairly new to After Effects, so let me know if I need to include anything else; the project file is attached. Most of the project is generated, and I don't know if I am legally able to view other sources, so its only the project file. Maybe someone can check and see if it is just my configuration? I tried the process too-not that I can make sense, but maybe someone from Adobe can.

  When you say 'great CC Particle World', you made me wonder if this was perhaps part of the problem. Particle systems can be very resource intensive for rendering. I would try to reduce the number of particles (or even shut down this effect) temporarily to see if it's the crux of the problem.

• Qosmio E10 AV buttons does not

  Hi, I hope someone is able to help. I have a Qosmio E10 for quite awhile (currently operated on XP) and I recently discovered that 10 AV keys (near the power/sleep button) do not for example by pushing the 'brightness' button does nothing for the effect of brightness, etc. Anyone know how to fix this?

  Did you install XP yourself using a retail version of XP?

  You'd be surprised how many people ignore disk cleanup and cleaning of the new system file... Some people also navigate a large NUMBER of graphics, that can use a ton of temporary space.

• InDesign makes clearer images when I add an object or an additional transparent image?

  I often have a problem that i' of like to see solved, but for months I found no tutorial that would help me solve the problem.

  When I'm designing a book or a magazine and have a picture on a page or spread [double page] and decide to add a transparent object or apply an effect on one of the images, the other image [s] on the page or even spread seem to emerge, as if I applied some sort of effect of brightness on them , which I did not.

  and if I remove the effect that I applied on that image, other images suddenly back to their original appearance.

  Anyone know why this happens? IM missing probably a few obvious step or not to do an additional action...

  I should add that I always add the images in CMYK mode [in color] and grey scale (black and white) and 300 dpi, although I don't think that the problem comes from there.

  I know that InDesign is not a color space in real grayscale, unlike Photoshop. David Blatner, a real InDesign expert, has created a good video series on color management in InDesign on Lynda.com. He said, "in InDesign, a grayscale image is defined as CMYK or RGB. If the mixture is set to CMYK, then InDesign sees this as a CMYK image with data only on the black plate. (These numbers are very rough and there are other factors involved, but you get the idea.) The max that must contain a whole page is ~ 2 MB for everything on the page, and less is better.

  That said, you have a lot of pictures of the beautiful, crisp, high resolution, so you should decide how you want to compromise image quality compared to the performance of page loading. An average of visitors to the site are starting to abandon the page loads that take more than a few seconds at a high enough rate, so it is important for your main landing pages load very quickly. A visitor who is more engaged in your site may be more willing to wait for a slow page load, but a person following a link to your site for the first time is unlikely to wait a second page load 10 + and Google may refuse to index pages that are extremely slow to load.
