Creation of a two bit multiplexer

Hello
How could two bit multiplexer could be created using labview.
It is there wouldn't be four inputs and one output.
The control of this should be numerically, IE when the digital select has a 1 input control, the first entry is going out and when there 2 the second entry goes out and so on.
I think it's not very difficult but need an idea from the solution.

    Ahead01
    Emp01
    Emp02
    ##############################################################

Here are the charts that I use

    1. LOCATION - Self linking table that shows continents and countries hierarchically.
    For example:
    | Location | Location_id | Parent_Location_ID |
    | The India | 100. 101 |

  • Please explain CVI question #335358: using the operator of bit-shift twice on the same line of code produces incorrect results

    Hello

    I just stumbled on http://www.ni.com/white-paper/12323/en#335358_by_Category.

With the help of the bit-shift operator twice on the same line of code produces incorrect results.
Workaround: Separate the operations of shift of two bits in two distinct lines of code.

Reported Version: 9.0    Solved Version: N/A    Added the: 14/02/2012

Could someone please explain what kind of construction causes such a question?

I have not noticed problems again and not have not noticed or found a thread about it.

    Thank you.

The reported scenario looks like this:

    unsigned int a = 1, b = 62;
    unsigned  long long result = 1ULL << a << b;

The problem arises because of the temporary variable used when do two little is placed in the same line. This separation into two lines will produce correct results:

    unsigned int a = 1, b = 62;
    unsigned  long long result = 1ULL << a;
    result = result << b;

  • The acquisition of the HP with Vista 32 bit Home Premium system, upgrade to Windows 7

    Hello

I bought aHP system with 32bitVista Home Premium (is it possible I have quilify for a get an or64bit of 32-bit (32 or 64-bit), vista download?, and I want to upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate edition (am I understand that Windows 7 came with 32-bit and 64-bit? OK?))

I have another computer I would like to install the 32-bit vista, but HP does not include an installation disc only a RECOVERY directory on the D: drive (also when I bought the system it's not all service packs, which affects the installation information?)

How can I get that copy of vista on my other computer?

Then I install 64 bit Windows 7 on this computer

Thank you all in advance for your time and knowledge

    Sincerely,

    Tungerz

When you buy a new computer with a Microsoft Windows OS installed at the factory, it is an OEM version.  Unlike retail versions that you can buy in the store, the OEM versions are no longer valid on the first computer it's installed and activated on.  In addition, the Windows Vista license must stay on the computer, as will be the basis to install an 'upgrade' of Windows 7 version.  Without this license Windows Vista installed, you must rather a license of Windows 7 more expensive "full version". Carey Frisch

    Hello Richard,.

Thanks for your comments as my friend.

OK Carey, this brings me to the next question... "Without this license of Windows Vista installed, you'll have rather a license of Windows 7"full version"more expensive."

After I upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate without the license of Windows 7 more expensive "full version". It is permitted only on this machine too? or is this considered a retail version I own?

It comes with both 32 bit and 64 bit installs?

Once again thanks to you both for your time and knowledge, I am truly grateful.

    Peace,

    Tungerz

If you purchase a Windows 7 Upgrade license it is transferable to another computer as it is a retail license and retail licenses are transferable to different computers.  You can only use one of the levels of two bits (32 or 64) of Windows 7 at the same time.  In other words, you cannot use the license for two computers at the same time, a 32-bit and 64-bit.  It works just like that.

You can download and create your own copy of Windows 8 Pro 32 bit from another computer running a 32-bit version of Windows 7, Visa or 8/8.1. The following instructions will show you how, it refers to the creation of the 64-bit version, but the same principles apply to the 32-bit version. Please note that if you upgrade to another computer, you must have a license.

  • Wired OR XNET session with TestStand causes Hex 0xBFF6309C error

    Hello

I'm trying to access a Controller LIN via code (2012) PXI-8516, OR XNET and of LabView, TestStand (2012).

To the point where "XNET session creation", I created two sessions (one for writing, for reading), everything works in LabView and without errors. Then I put these sessions to an indicator in TestStand. It sessions are stored in the premises and put them in the next call where I ty to send a frame.

The result is always a 0xBFF6309C aka 1074384740.

A test program that keeps everything in a States Labview machine behaves as expected and sends the frame without problems.

The error for me text sounds me a bit as if sessions are not particularly be crossed TestStand.

    Everyone has experienced similar problems?

    Best regards

    Søren

    Solved!

Obviously XNET him quite like if the screw using XNET not stored in the reserved State. It is a setting of the adapter of LabView in TestStand.

To avoid unpleasant surprises and days of searching for error when porting software to an another machine-TS, you can also set the setting of the card by a line of code:

    RunState.Engine.GetAdapterByKeyName (FlexLVAdapterKeyName). AsAdapter.ReserveVIs = True

I always consider this behavior if it is a bug, then at least a problem. If keeping the session in respect of these circumstances is not possible at least that TestStand should provide a better error message pointing out what happened.

  • What does 0/Rx/activate RF and RF TX/0/Enable mean?

I wanted to make sure that what 0/Rx/activate RF and RF TX/0/Enable represents example .vi Streaming Xcvr (FPGA).

If RF 0/Rx/activate made false for a particular time frame in a different loop in the vi diagram does mean that USRP will seek all the data at the moment? And even must go with transmission.

It closes the session or just to ensure that data are not fethched in RX/TX channel?

There is a set of registers for each group of girl/RF Board that are used for the configuration, called save the RTA. There are four registers of ATR that pass through a multiplexer, and then a single register of ATR is chosen to apply the configuration to the girl/RF Board group. The registry ATR mux is controlled by two bits. On daughter 0 card, it's 0/Rx for RF and RF Tx/0 enable. On map 1 girl we RF 1/Rx and Activate RF 1/Tx. These selects two bits including the four registers of ATR is used to conifgure group girl/RF Board. This allows four configurations separate access quickly.

Records of RTA configures items such as feeding the daughter card, activate the mixer of the girl, the antenna configuration card (if the Tx/Rx antenna is passed to the Tx or Rx channel), among others. The four registers of ATR is written with the default values using the screw of the host's configuration. Four ATR registers are commonly called four following States: idle, only Rx and Tx only Full Duplex. Here is a table of how the ATR States are chosen among the bits enable:

Enable TX | Enable RX | State of RTA

    ----------+-----------+----------

    F        | F         | Idle

    F        | T         | RX only

    T        | F         | TX only

    T        | T         | Full-duplex

So, to finally answer your question

The bits turn control what state ATR is used to configure the Group of girl/RF Board. The bits of activation does not controll if the USRP will be or will not extract the data, itself, but the bits turn can select a RTA State where the daughter card is turned off or the daughter card mixer is turned off.

Records the RTA and the States of ATR are only necessary mostly for advanced applications requiring a default configuration or to quickly toggle group girl/RF board configuration.

    I hope this helps!

  • best method to transmit the PPM (servo control) in series-wireless transmitter? (how to combine binary + whole in a single series byte)

I'm pulling my hair out here... I hope someone can help to guide me in the right direction.  I'm just learning binary and hex, so please forgive me (and correct me!) if I say something wrong.  I have to give credit when it is deserved, because I use info from a post on theautochannel.com to drive this development.

I try to control a small indoor RC helicopter using LabVIEW and a USB joystick.  I communicate with a transmitter wireless via rs232 (TTL converted), the Protocol is 125000, 8n1. Each image is 14 bytes 2 bytes of header.  I would like to transmit data PPM (pulse position modulation) which is actually just a 10bits (1024 possible measures) range that dictates the position of the servo, for each channel.

    Byte 3 & 4 are channel 1, byte 5 and 6 are channels 2, 7 & 8 CH 3,... and so on until the bytes 13 & 14 which is CH 6.

Each pair of bytes begins with "00" (binary).

Byte 3 & 4 should look like "00 00 00 xx xx xx xx xx", where the first "00" is the header, then "00 00" is the identifier of the servo, and 'xx xx xx xx xx' represents the position of the servo. The identifier is actually integrated in the position of the servo, the bits serve a double purpose.

That's why it all will look like this:

CH 01:00 00 00 xx xx xx xx xx (position has a valid range from 0 - 1023)

CH 02:00 00 01 xx xx xx xx xx (range 1024-2047)

CH 03:00 00 10 xx xx xx xx xx (range 2048-3071)

etc... If you convert the binary range, you can see how the second half of the bits ID servo are provided by the range of servo.

I intend by entry VISA to send every byte to constitute the entire frame, and then I will pause ~ 10ms between frames. However, my question is how the hell should I code this? !!  I think I need to write, take 1 CH for example, bytes 3 and 4 together into a string and then split them back hand to be sent as two distinct bytes.  However, I do not know how to mix my header and the first two bits of my ID servo, which is binary '00 xx', with my servo position (which I know I can write in decimal form, as entry VISA will convert it in binary). Any thoughts on the best way to do so, given all this?

An empty string character likens to a binary "0"?

Has totally confused everyone?  I really hope not, but I'm pretty tired so let me know if I need to simplify my question.  I hope someone can enlighten me as to the best way to combine the binary constant w modification of decimals (or hex).  And if anyone has thoughts about a good way to organize my vi together, I understand that too!  Right now I'll just use the structures of sequence... I post my code but at the moment, there is not much to look at

    Thank you very much!!

No, you do not confuse everyone, but I think you might have confused yourself.

You basically need to do is to create the array of bytes that will be sent, and then use the array of bytes to a string, so you can send it to the serial port. The creation of the byte array can be done in several ways. You deal with 6 16-bit numbers, of which the lower 10 bits are the values of the position of the servo. I don't know what you want on the front panel to look like, but if you have 6 separate (one for each servo) controls with each set having a range of 0 to 1023 (for 10-bit), then you just have to OR each value based on the number of servo. Put all this in a table, add the bytes of the header and the array of bytes to a string allows to get a string that you can send via the serial port. You can also do this in a loop. Joined a VI to show the two concepts. You have not indicated what version of LabVIEW, is 8.2 you use.

  • Question about the capture in ProRes 422 HQ

Hi, I hope that you´re having a great Easter!

I m a fresh technical coordinator on an award show and do some research on this workflow we want to use for the project.

As part of the we´re to see the creation of the comedy bits and other small videos for breaking the live broadcast, and I have to take a decision on what format we want in the shooting.

We´re using first and to facilitate the workflow, I thought ProRes would be a good choice for the capture format. As much as we´re is not a large amount of shooting sequences. For this reason, I think that the shooting in 422 HQ is viable.

However, I Don t currently have information about the use of we´re cameras, so here are my questions:

It is common for the cameras to support ProRes capture more precisely 422 HQ?

    Which cameras support it?

Are all memory cards capable of storing 422 HQ?

Do you have the experience of working with a workflow of 422 HQ on smaller projects or possibly more? Disadvantages?

    Thanks for your time!

EDIT: This is the right place for this question? If not, please direct me to a more appropriate forum. Thank you!

Many high-end cameras are supported the record in ProRes format. If you find yourself using cameras do not record ProRes then you could always tie a convergent, or external such as Atomos products recorder which allows to record any flavor of ProRes to an SSD. Here is a list of Apple authorized products that support ProRes: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT200321

I don't know that is how updated, but given that the gun RED 8 K is about, it seems quite common. The list shows NLE, video cameras, and recorders, so it should give you a good start.

The memory card or the SSD just need to be fast enough to support written bitrate of 422 HQ. Any SSDS should do, if you go with an external recorder. If you go with one of the cameras that uses a memory card, manuals and manufacturers can tell you recommended specs.

I have experience with ProRes 422, no HQ, but if you have a fast enough machine, it should be quite pleasant to work with. The obvious disadvantages I can think would be needs of storage and bandwidth between your storage and your machine, especially if you go with a multi-cam project. A single stream or two of ProRes 422 HQ should read through any modern storage, high-speed.

  • changing Dell for macbook and want to know how to save my favorites

Get a macbook and want to know if there is a way to save my favorites from Mozilla Firefox so that I always have them on the MacBook.

I suggest the creation of these two formats:

The HTML file is a web page, if you open it in Firefox, you should be able to see if it looks full. This is your backup and Safari on Mac will be able to import, too, for those times where you will need to use Safari.

The JSON file is dense text, and if you drop it on a tab in Firefox, it will be not very readable, but this format is more complete, therefore, it is preferred to use on your Mac to configure Firefox.

As for their transfer, you could use an external hard drive, USB key, or cloud storage. Preferably more than one "just in case."
