Creation of storage in Oracle 11 g

Hi guys,.

I need to create storage for our development database.
Currently I am the creation of storage as below

TABLESPACE CREATION tools
DATAFILE ' / data/oracle/oradata/tpol/tools01.dbf' SIZE 10 M REUSE AUTOEXTEND ON NEXT 1 M
MAXSIZE UNLIMITED MANAGEMENT SEGMENT SPACE MANAGEMENT AUTO LOCAL SCOPE;

CREATE TABLESPACE cash_box_data_tbs
DATAFILE ' / data/oracle/oradata/tpol/cash_box_data01.dbf' SIZE 10 M REUSE AUTOEXTEND on NEXT 10 M
MAXSIZE UNLIMITED MANAGEMENT SEGMENT SPACE MANAGEMENT AUTO LOCAL SCOPE;

CREATE TABLESPACE cash_box_ndx_tbs
DATAFILE ' / data/oracle/oradata/tpol/cash_box_ndx01.dbf' SIZE 10 M REUSE AUTOEXTEND on NEXT 10 M
MAXSIZE UNLIMITED MANAGEMENT SEGMENT SPACE MANAGEMENT AUTO LOCAL SCOPE;

CREATE TABLESPACE cash_drawer_data_tbs
DATAFILE ' / data/oracle/oradata/tpol/cash_drawer_data01.dbf' SIZE 10 M REUSE AUTOEXTEND on NEXT 10 M
MAXSIZE UNLIMITED MANAGEMENT SEGMENT SPACE MANAGEMENT AUTO LOCAL SCOPE;

CREATE TABLESPACE cash_drawer_ndx_tbs
DATAFILE ' / data/oracle/oradata/tpol/cash_drawer_ndx01.dbf' SIZE 10 M REUSE AUTOEXTEND on NEXT 10 M
MAXSIZE UNLIMITED MANAGEMENT SEGMENT SPACE MANAGEMENT AUTO LOCAL SCOPE;

I was wondering is it possible to set the path to/data/oracle/oradata/tpol/and if I create the table automatically space the data file could be created in the above path.

Please give me some suggestions. I am using Oracle 11g

Use the OMF and DB_CREATE_FILE_DEST

DB_CREATE_FILE_DEST

Sets the location of the default directory where Oracle create datafiles or tempfiles when no specification file is given in the create operation.

    Hello

    For the database service, I tried to create the new container in the cloud storage container. As java, database container I've seen no service console connection.

    IssueinCloudContainerCreation.PNG

    After referring the document, I create the container by using the loop, and also I have test the container to create using the loop. After you create the container I don't know how to display the container created in the cloud service (console). So, I try to create the database service using my container name that is created by using the loop. But in the storage container Cloud name filed, it calls the name.so storage container, I gave the name of the container, but it is said that the error "Oracle Cloud Storage Service container name must be in the format < storage service name > - < domain identity name > / < container name of >.» "For example, storagesvc999-usoracleaccoutrial00999/backupContainer. Now I don't know the name of storage service.

    What is the name of storage service?

    How I found?

    The above image I do ' t see any link to access the storage service. So how to get access to the service? (recently, I put the replication strategy)

    Kind regards

    Ove.

    The storage team works to expose the tank to the user interface and which should be available in the spring. In the meantime, I have an app APEX you can use, but is not 100% finished. Give me a few weeks to get it all sorted. Meanwhile, let me help you get this name of container down.

    The syntax that you noted is

    -/

    So lets build this URL with certain values of the sample. Let my domain identity name is Gumball and my tank is myBackups.

    The first part would be storage-Gumball. The second part would have me myBackups. It will be together

    Storage-Gumball/myBackups

    Go ahead and give that a try to replace in your values for the field of identity and container. If it doesn't, we can find the exact syntax required for your account.

    Is there a kind of summary of storage available through 'homepage' of the XE.

    Even if machine server itself has no "GUI" for remote control, why don't just use you a browser and access the page home/Apex in the instance of XE?

    If not take a look at dba_tablespaces, dba_segments, dba_extents views. Maybe start with a sum (bytes) on the group owner.

    .. When think about, perhaps XE account file size, even if the space is not allocated to segments. Cross check with dba_data_files (file_name, bytes, nom_tablespace).

  • buffer busy elapse cnanging lob storage for oracle SECUREFICHIERS

    Hello world

    I need help to solve a problem with buffer busy waits in a lob using SECUREFICHIERS for storage segment.

    While loading the application inserts a record into a table with the lob segment and update the record after the filling of the lob data. The size of the block on the table space holding the lob is 8 KB and the segment on the lob segment size is limited to 8 KB. The average size of the recording of the lob is 6 KB and the minimum size is 4.03 KB. The problem only occurs when the execution of a work with a large number of relatively small inserts (4.03 Kb) in the lob column. The definition of the table allow online storage and the ptcfree set to 10%. The same jobs runs smoothly when you use storage basicfiles for the lob column.

    According to [oracle whitepaper | http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/options/compression/overview/securefiles-131281.pdf] SECUREFICHIERS have a number of performance improvements. I was particularly interested test gather Write Cache our app do a lot of relatively small inserts in a lob segment.

    Here is a fragment of the AWR report. It looks like all busy expectations buffer belong to a class of free list. The lob segment is located in a tablespace SAMS and I can't raise to freelists.

    A couple of quick notes to anyone who is interested.
    I was sent a few AWR reports and doing some tests on 11.2.0.2.
    Interesting things are:

    (a) SECUREFICHIERS have a free type of block called 'Clerks space', which is essentially space available of LOBs deleted; they are stored in v$ waitstat in the category 'free lists.

    (b) code OP inserts a null value / empty_lob(), it inserts the BLOB and then updates the BLOB - this is why the code generates a lot of BLOBs empty and eventually fill constantly, sweeping and empty blocks of the "free list".

    Possible solutions-
    (1) use the core files because they use very different mechanisms
    (2) do not insert and update the BLOB

    In a way the problem exists because type LOB data aren't really OLTP objects, but the application manages LOB in a kind of type OLTP.

  • moving partioned tables to different areas of storage in oracle 11g.

    Dear all,
    I need to move the table partitioned to a different tablespace. I moved all the partitions individually, as well as the index.

    You did not follow the instructions in the other links. Not at all. If you did, you would know:

    First of all, you need to use JDK 1.6
    Second of all, you have to match to the FMW WLS version you want to use (you should use 11.1.1.4, is told by the way).

    You should:

    (1) install JDK 1.6
    (2) installation of WebLogic 10.3.4 (or, if you want to use FMW 11.1.1.3, install WLS 10.3.3)
    (3) install FMW 11.1.1.2
    (4) install 11.1.1.4 patch (or 11.1.1.3)
    (5) proceed with your configuration.

    Impdp mc/xxx DIRECTORY = DUMPFILE EXPORT_DIR = SLTN-MCEXPORT-2010-07 - 22.dmp PATTERNS = MC LOGFILE = SLTN-MCIMPORT-2010-07 - 22.log

    I had to manually create TABLESPACE MC_DATA: 'MC_DATA' of CREATE TABLESPACE DATAFILE 'D:\OracleHisRuns\Dumps\SLTN-MCEXPORT-2010-07-22.dmp ';

    Then a table fails MC. CURVEPOINTS

    Anyone know why this is happening? Is it a memory problem? Or is there a problem when the user, the tablespace is created next to me?

    Hello
    I think you're confusing the creation of storage with the expdp dumpfile. You tried to add the dumpfile to the database as a data file, and then it was corrupted.

    What you need to do is add a new space of tables with a brand new file - nothing to do with the dumpfile.

    And then perform the import with the dumpfile - you will probably need to this regenerate your source system.

    See you soon,.

  • Getting error when installing repository creation utility (RCU).

    Hello

    During the installation of the remote control, I was getting the Error Invalid Username/password on the database connection details screen when I give a Userid sys. on the database connection details screen, I tried to login with the user sys but failed so I used the user of the system, and it connects.
    Then on screen components, I was getting the error below.

    UCR-6083: impossible - check requirement prerequisites for the selected item: ORAESS
    Refer to the journal of the RCUS to /u01/app/oracle/logdir.2009-12-22_16-46/rcu.log for more details.
    Try to connect as a user not SYSDBA. User must have SYSDBA privileges to properly load the schema of the ESS.

    RCU - 6092:Component validation selection failed. Please refer to connect to /u01/app/oracle/logdir.2009-12-22_16-46/rcu.log for more details.

    I don't know why I am unable to connect with the sys user, I give the password. Now, I changed the password but still can't connect sys.
    Please see the link below.

  • / storage/core support missing

    I deployed a 3 x average cluster nodes and had run a few days before I started to notice a warning in vROPs that the storage has been insufficient.

    While they inspected the storage available in the monitor system LI for all 3 nodes and notice was one show only 7.3 GB of available compared to 233 GB on 2 other nodes.

    I ran the beam of support and research if the files I look at the df file and noticed that he was missing the mountains/storage/core and/storage/var from the node with the 7.3 GB available.

    I mode Mainteanance and restarted, node, but the mounts are not automatically returned.

    Is any way to restore?

    Is this a known issue?

    OK, so we have 270 GB of PV/VG and no LVs. That's the problem known in 3.0. A transitional storage for LVM configuration problem would result in Insight Log creation/Import/Storage on the filesystem root without the mount points. Log Insight 3.3 that better capture LVM provisioning errors and try again.

    We can address this in your environment without loss. The process is a little long and has a good number of moving parts, so stop and answer if you see something you don't expect.

  • Need some advice for storage of laboratory work station.

    Hello community,

    I was student and new to ESXi. I would like to build a cluster VM storage initially for HA and FT, but my SSD is maximum and would like to make my external storage using my other PC small box. No I have no room for another player.

    This is my configuration of lab.

    .

    A DS81 shuttle that has my Workstation11 Server 2008 running for the DNS, AD and two ESXI 6.0. on the third host, I would install vCenter 6.0 as one. EGGS only because its been hell Server installation.

    Second Shuttle DS81 (do not use) with the same characteristics. They all have two 100 SSD with 16 GB GB memory with 2 NICs with opassive not to switch between the two and using bridge vmNet0.

    What is your recommendation on the creation of storage using the extra white box? or I also a 16 GB in PC SD card I would use it as a storage device. Can I do it using my computer?

    Thanks in advance guys.

    Hello

    The extra PC for use as additional storage space will work fine.

    You can do this through software like freeNAS or just install linux and set up an NFS share.

    I do not recommend the use of the SD card which do not work very well, these cards are all way too slow.

    Even the fastest have too much latency and will drive you up a wall.

    An SD card allows you to start an operating system like vSphere, but you don't want to host VMs on them.
