Creator of recovery media from Toshiba regarding the issue.

Hi, I have a new Toshiba laptop and I would like to replace Windows 7 Ubuntu (completely - there is therefore no left of files WIndows on a SSD). I used creative recovery tool of media I've found among utilities preinstaled by Toshiba and I created the USB recovery.

I wonder, when I delete WIndows and install Ubuntu in place, is the USB I created what I come to Windows?

In other words: when I want to go back and replace Ubuntu with Windows, boot from USB and execution of recovery will be all I have to do to get rid of Ubuntu and Windows only?

Thank you

> I wonder, when I delete WIndows and install Ubuntu in place, is the USB I created what I come to Windows?

Yes, the use of the recovery media (no matter if its USB memory stick or recovery disk recovery) would fix the laptop back to factory settings.

Factory settings means that you get the same State as at the first day of the purchase.

    Hello

    First of all, I must say here it s only forum user. You'll be a really lucky guy if someone from Toshiba will be the response to your ad or the means will contact you directly but hope dies last. ;)

    Are you from Europe?
    In any case, I think the best thing is if contact you Toshiba local basis in your country. But the question is if you can contact the guy because normally your interlocutor is a rather authorized Toshiba service provider.

    Of course, you can try it and look for an email address. Maybe you'll find something on Toshiba page in your language. :)

  • Z30-A-1E9 recovery media from the satellite with Windows 10 or Windows 7

    Hi all

    I have a Toshiba Ultrabook (Satellite Z30-A-1E9). It comes with pre-installed 64-bit Windows 8.1 home version. Whenever after a successful recovery process, the cell starts to upgrade the operating system software to Windows 10. It takes a lot of time and focusing on the material of the ultrabook. I'm looking for a recovery with Windows 10 or Windows 7 media. Is it possible to find anywhere or at least create it by myself?

    Thanks a lot for your time!

    The recovery image Win7 Pro does not work because your laptop is a Win8 Home Edition key.

    You can block the automatic upgrade of Win10.

    When I tried to reboot I get the message bootmgr is missing. I have a copy of the HARD drive recovery file but din not creating a restore DVD.
    The question is if I do a recovery bootable DVD or USB of file file from the HARD drive recovery file?

    Thank you!!!

    There is a method to create the USB bootable recovery DVD or ISO file - http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD4103KB0000R01.htm, but I put t think this will help.

    Problem is that this backup is really unnecessary. There is also possibility of installation of recovery disk original order. You can order it on https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx

    EMPNAME JOIN_DATE

    ----------------------------------- -----------------

    JOHN ON MARCH 23, 2005 09:00

    You mean > = instead of >, to register the join_dates that are exactly 12:00:00 AM on March 23.  Keep< at="" the="" end;="" you="" don't="" want="" anything="" from="" march="" 24,="" and="" you="" don't="" want="" between="" for="" the="" same="">

    What you posted is the fastest way.  Use DATE instead of TO_DATE literals, it is a bit shorter and just as fast.

    SELECT *.

    WCP

    WHERE join_date > = DATE '' 2005-03-23

    AND join_date<  date="">

    ;

    May be the shortest path (which will be slower):

    SELECT *.

    WCP

    WHERE TRUNC (join_date) = DATE '' 2005-03-23

    ;

    It's slower because we need to call a function for each row in the table, and (potentially much larger) this means that you cannot use an index on join_date.

  • Regarding the issue, I saw on default app pool administrator

    I am following up on the post about the appearance of the pool of applications by default with the admin rights when I use my windows 7 pro machine as a private user.  I feel uncomfortable with this language IIS and asp.net, it scares me, it looks like a hack.  Of the answer and the explanation, I know that this is not unusual and Windows Pro has it built in.  However, I never saw him, and I want to end the situation as a whole.  You advised that the admin should open the file for this admin and delete the files. and then check if it is in the admin group.  But what can I do to safely change it didn't happen.  can I disable windows features change settings?  Should I take possession of the Group of users?

    Want to know how to do this.

    Thanks in advance

    .NET is a network of Microsoft software - see here.
    The C:\Public folder holds information that applies to all users on your PC.

    The C:\DefaultAppPool folder has been created on your computer because you have made use of some cloud services - see here.

    There is nothing to worry about with each of these points. You are perfectly safe. What you should be concerned about, it's not not to fall into the trap of having a single administrator account. Many people get in diabolical trouble when something goes wrong with this account. They all have a spare House (for obvious reasons!) key, but few have a spare fully tested and documented admin account.

  • Transition from noob to the issue of AS3

    Learning my way in AS3, here's the original code I'm moving in AS3 AS2. The function is to enable the mouse on the State remain selected until the mouse moves out of the selected area. Here is the AS2 code:

    mc.onRollOver = function() {}
    mc.gotoAndStop (2);
    }
    mc.onRollOut = function() {}
    mc.gotoAndStop (1);
    }

    How I changed it: this is where I need help

    {mc.addEventListener (MouseEvent.ROLL_OVER) = function ()}

    mc.gotoAndStop (2); }

    {mc.addEventListener (MouseEvent.ROLL_OVER) = function ()}

    mc.gotoAndStop (1); }

    What Miss me the code?

    I tried this code and got a double mistake:

    mc.addEventListener (MouseEvent.ROLL_OUT, overHandler);

    function overHandler(evt:MouseEvent):void {}

    mc.gotoAndStop (2);

    }

    A definition of the function of overHandler twice? It's the only way you can get an error duplicate... I think you want:

    mc.addEventListener (MouseEvent.ROLL_OUT, outHandler);

    function outHandler(evt:MouseEvent):void {}

    mc.gotoAndStop (1);

    }

  • Re: Toshiba Recovery Media Creator - no HDD Recovery area

    Hi friends, I bought a new Toshiba Kirabook PSU8SA-00V00U, a few months ago. I wanted to create emergency recovery disks, but whenever I start Toshiba Recovery Media Creator, it comes with a message that HARD drive recovery area undetected.

    Then I tried running the recovery environment by pressing 0 at the beginning upward.
    It comes with a blue screen saying that can not load from the recovery partition.

    I checked with Paragon Hard Disk Partition Manager software that the recovery drive is available.

    How do I make a recovery media or connect this HDD in system recovery so that Toshiba Recovery Media Creator detects the recovery disk and made recovery media. If in the future, if I want to reset the PC to factory settings, it will be even coming up with a blue screen saying that it can not load the recovery environment.

    Any help will be appreciated!

    Hello

    Fact is that the installation of image recovery or recovery media creation works if the machine has only factory settings. In other words, everything must be in original condition without any changes. With the changes I mean, original OS must be installed and the structure of the partitions of HARD drive should not be changed.

    If you try to change HARD drive partitions original structure the system in general, or Toshiba recovery media creator, will be confused and will not be able to find what we call markers which provide information on the exact location on the HARD disk where the recovery image is placed or registered.

    Did you do something that might be responsible for this situation?

  • Satellite C650 14U: recovery media creates the recovery partition?

    Hello, I used the recovery media creator to create a USB flash drive recovery media.

    If I can use that to restore Windows 7 installation on a new hard drive (as the SSD) will be the drive itself have the recovery media on that partition?

    So if I then lose the USB could restore again by pressing zero when turn?

    Or it does not retrieve the Windows partition and nothing more?

    Thank you

    First of all, the new hard drive itself has no partition recovery on it. The recovery partition is a copy of the system partition and locates at another location, therefore, restored from a recovery media unit contains just the partition system without recovery partition.

    Second, if you have a recovery on a local disk partition, you can always restore by pressing zero when power on/off. If this isn't the case, I am sorry to say that you don't you have no source of food.

    In third place, somehow, we can say that it only retrieves the system partition.

  • ZBook 14: Recovery USB without HP Recovery Media Creator

    Hello

    I think that one way to create:

    Creating recovery media
    NOTE: The Windows 7 operating system DVD can be created only once. Subsequently, the ability to create media that won't be available after you have created a Windows DVD.
    To create the Windows DVD:
    1. Select start > all programs > productivity and tools > HP Recovery Disc Creator.
    2. Select Windows disk.
    3. in the drop-down list, select the drive to burn the recovery media.
    4. click the Create button to start the burning process.

    After the operating system of Windows 7 DVD has been created, create the driver recovery DVD:
    1. Select start > all programs > productivity and tools > HP Recovery Disc Creator.
    2. Select driver disk.
    3. in the drop-down list, select the drive to burn the recovery media.

  • Windows 7 recovery media is unable to complete the installation

    I have had a total hard drive on my HP Pavilion DV6-3108EA failure and got the relevant HP recovery media and install a spare drive compatible plug - in this case, it's a Samsung SSD 850 EVO, 500 GB solid state of direct replacement for the deceased Samsung 500 GB disk drive. Drive diagnostic confirms that the replacement drive is fully functional without error.

    The recovery kit comes with 3 DVDs. tightening of the bolts 1 and 2 are the Windows 7 recovery media and #3 is the recovery of applications and drivers. 1 recovery attempt has done OK, loaded all three DVD but eventually stuck at a screen "loading devices (40%). ", which would not go further even after a night's sleep. Therefore, power off, and...

    Attempt 2 is better. I jumped 3 DVD and the construction seems to be almost complete but finally stopped with hearwarming message that "Windows cannot complete the installation. To install Windows on this computer restart the installation"frustrating, I think you'll agree.

    Out of curiosity I tried ctrl-alt-del what task manager open nicely and from there I was able to do many things including use setup to reconnect to my wireless router, enter the number of license Win 7 OK and activate windows, get the right keyboard configuration and launch a copy of IE8 with which I am still typing this message.

    It seems so I have a PC almost fully functional except that Windows could not complete the installation and if I click the OK button in the offending dialog box, it restarts and returns to the same dialog box. Very frustrating. Oh and there is no button start / menu start so clearly there are always things to be completed.

    The recovery media is "System Recovery Kit for portable Pavilion or Presario" (COL35379_631054_031) for which I paid £35,12 and expect to deliver the goods. But it doesn't work. Also remarkable is that the recovery media did not build a D: partition of recovery disk, contrary to what he says. Can anyone help?

    It's frustrating. Fortunately, I can also access this forum and this email addressfrom my Android Tablet and check there return from time to time. Really appreciate your ideas and help here.

    Either by the way, on a different thread, I read the assertion that HP requires to change a chip on the motherboard when you change a drive. This disc is loaded with tools and Windows software and saving the configuration changes as my wireless network details I don't buy that one. Thanks for reading this far.

    Hoping for wise leaders to help me move forward.

    With regard to Al

    So close and yet so far.

    But I would like to clear one thing up to HP support were excellent - good focus on my ideas of the problem and a commitment to see it through.  No worries about to buy me the hot spare elsewhere.  Problem still not solved, but I'm more forward with other ideas to pursue.  I was told to reset the BIOS date to 2012 (don't know what difference that would make but there) and the construction has progressed much further this time.

    More anon, but had to post a message praising the support that I received today.

    Result!

    Fixing the date of the BIOS to 2012 has allowed the recovery to go much further, but still have up to a point where he had failed.  So, why?

    Silly me!  Should have read the instructions on the screen and their follow-up religiously.  Eventually, the restore process (which takes a lot of time) begins to re - install applications and other things.  The message on the screen at the beginning of this process very clearly said that it will automatically reboot several times.  However, being a little too eager to get there, I finally saw a message that said that such and such an application requires a restart to complete the installation and stupidly I clicked the button restart now.  Who killed for the rest of the installation.  Finally I have sussed out - and kept following reconstruction my itchy fingers away from the mouse to the manuscript to rebuild whole had been terminated, making his own restarts suff and hey hop... a PC entirely restored with a nice new Samsung SSD drive.

    As an aside, if you plan to replace your hard drive (defective or not) with a Samsung SSD tested loading the Wizard software that comes with it to optimize the OS to SSD hardware.  It optimizes the things like the prefetcher and Super-fetch to the machine and the drive to work more effectively together - very impressive.

    Kudos to HP who were great support.  I know that some people say thay have bad experiences.  Mine here in the United Kingdom was outstanding.  The guy listened, asked good questions, gave good advice and has been a pleasure to work with - what would you like... oh yes, his advice worked!

    Thanks to HP real home to my little crisis.

    A lot of work to do now to recover data, backups (yes I) and re - install a large number of tools that I use, but all disks are there and it's just a matter of time now.

    All the best

    Al
