cRIO compiling code another start-up

Hi, I compiled (build start-up) a standalone application on cRIO and it works well.

Now when I plug the Ethernet cable into the cRIO to connect to cRIO to remove the previous application and build another, I can not connect to the cRIO due to the following error.

I was wondering how to solve.

First steps - confirmed that the networking for the cRIO is still correct? When you plug the ethernet cable, you can test the cRIO (command line)? You see the cRIO able and Automation Explorer? If you can't access it at all, then there is a network problem. Check your IP address and the firewall settings.

The cRIO has a set of DIP switches, which disables any startup application. If you set this switch, and then reboot the cRIO, you can then connect? If so, there might be a problem with your startup application - perhaps you have a loop with no wait which prevents background networking tasks to run (like allowing connections in the development environment).

  • Project properties: separately compiled code?

I'm refactoring the code in LabVIEW 8.5 to LabVIEW 2013 SP1 with the intention to create an executable file with an installer.

I tried to create an executable of my project and when I ran it I got a bunch of error code 59: compiled code in the source file has been separated, and this version of LabVIEW does not have access to separate code that is compiled. It turns out that for many the GTA OR and Office toolkit vi the check mark is set by default to separate the compiled code.

The question is that if I disabled the check mark in the project properties window this port over the Subvi project or must I unplugged the check mark for each vi used in the project? If I click on the button "Mark existing Items."... ", and then set it to the unmarked status (the file uses the glyph of closed folder) will that perform the action needed to include the compiled code for every vi in the project?

Thanks for your attention crossrulz. It could have been a combination of errors originally... Another problem I had was that my project was deep in my file structure and I thought the 59 error was not related... but I got deep on a subject, I took for granted in the past.

  • How to get a lvbitx, which is already compiled on another PC, installed on a new FPGA module (similar) 9146 (without recompiling).

    Hey all,.

How to make a lvbitx, which is already compiled on another PC, installed on a new module (similar) FPGA 9146 (without recompiling).

I gave only the lvbitx, not the entire project file.

Can someone help me with this?

    Thank you in advance.

What you compile the file bit for?  Also a 9146?  You try to use the file bit with the same version of LabVIEW?

If it's the same type of target and the same version of LabVIEW (or its execution engine), and then you call just the bit with the FPGA VI reference open file.  Otherwise, you will have to recompile.

  • I should "separate compiled code in the source file" for *.ctl files?

There are a few good reasons to code compiled separately to screw

Now, the option is also available for custom orders/type definitions. I wonder if there is any benefit whether for the separation of updating the code of these? None of the reasons for separation will apply to *.ctl files, after all. In fact, it might even be disruptive - in some quick experiments, separation of compiled code has increased the size of the files *.ctl!

    (Transferred to https://lavag.org/topic/19681-should-i-separate-compiled-code-from-source-file-for-ctl-files/ )

    Hi JKSH,

Good question!  After searching for a bit, the first reason mentioned in the KB, you are connected (to simplify the source code control) looks like it could apply to the .ctl file.

I guess that similarly to how changes in 1 VI cause unsaved changes in any screws that call it, changes with a .ctl file can do the same thing.  However, it seems that separation of compiled code make it possible only to make changes to a file at a time, without the domino effect.

  • Compiled code in the source file was separated... when referencing a tat of VI entered a trajectory control

I have a feeling I know the answer.

I have an executable that takes a VI from trajectory control and the executable reads certain properties.  It crashes with this error.

    Some experience on the issue:

The executable waits on path control to change its value, then it reads the properties.  He's just fine.

Running the source code works very well.

The VI which is read has separate code.

So I think it's no different than calling a VI dynamically because it is the responsibility of the VI in memory to read its properties, and that cannot happen if the code is separate.  I guess you have to uncheck the option "Separately compiled Code."... "for every VI (Subvi) I loading and recompile all that and that should work?

    Thank you!

We will try to clarify something here.  You have an EXE file (running in the TEN) and is trying to call a VI that is not included in the EXE file and make everything with her?  If this is the case, while called VI does NOT have to be defined for separate update.  The reason being that the RTE does not any compilation.  So tried to do something for a VI with no compiled code is impossible.

In the development environment, the code compiled for VI should be in the cache of the object.  So the separate update is not serious.

  • Problems with the start of the vi using TCP on a cRIO, error code 63

I'm trying to deploy the 'multiple connections - Server.vi' in examples of TCP & UDP to a cRIO as the startup application. The vi works fine and I can connect with many clients until I have deploy the vi and set it as vi on a cRIO device startup. When the device restarts and I try to connect with the 'multiple Client connections 1(vi)"also found in examples of TCP & UDP, I get"error 63 occurred to TCP connection open. Are there additional parameters that need to be enable to allow TCP as the boot vi?

I don't know that is the question and I don't have an RT target available to test it, but here's a possibility: property nodes sometimes do not work as expected when you run on a RT system without front panel.  In the case of multiple connections - server example, the first thing that happens is that the VI wrote a false value in the property node.  As explained in the link, this has no effect.  For example, if the default value of the control 'Look stopped' is 'True' the top loop will close after the first run, which will stop the VI, probably leading to the error that you see when you try to connect.

To resolve this problem, I recommend you remove the 'Missed listening' control completely and change conditions to stop for the two while loops.  You run a compiled application on RT, so unless you will connect using a remote panel, there is no need any façade including the stop button control.

EDIT: if I have correctly identified your problem, you can vote for this idea: "Warn on the face property node to use when you build a RT".

  • cRIO: best way to start/run a VI running on the RT.vi of the host.vi

    Hi all

I recently (3 weeks) he started to use with Labview/cRIO. I think I have the concept of the cRIO down, but I'm fighting on what seems to be a simple communication in Labview. Here's my problem:

I have a cRIO 9074 with x 1 NI 9234 (4 analog input channels) and x 3 modules NI 9512 (motor controller). I am running in hybrid mode. My RT.vi control all movements of engine (scan mode) and also the FPGA FIFO beginning/read it. My Host.vi is in fact a UI and did some post processing on the data that I acquire by my NI 9234. My issue is with how to begin the RT.vi of the Host.vi. Just use the "VI reference.vi open? I tried but I do not think I do it properly, because what settings should I get for this? Can I configure it with the IP address of the RT? Also, for the path of the file, where are the screws on the RT?

    Thank you!

    Troy

Note: The final product must be converted into a .exe. If the implementing method is to open/run the RT.vi automatically.

Normally you compile the application of RT, deploy and set it as the startup application.  In this way, it will be saved on the internal flash of the cRIO drive and will automatically load when you start the cRIO.  What is an option for you?

  • CRIO/FPGA code to run locally

    Hello

You can create a cRIO in your LV project without having the hardware, you can compile the FPGA code and run in simulation mode too, but you cannot run the code of RT.

Hello.  My Compaq Presario Desktop PC SR2010NX of 2006 began just not start.  It gives me a sound code of long beeps that accompany pause after each beep and continue indefinitely.  I have tried convenience cheques, and it looks as if it was the 'memory '.  My question, FEI's memory, what cards are hardware compatible with my PC.  I had a breakdown.    to install a new set of 2 GB cards in July - and I had technicians immediately reinstall my old 2 cards (issued factory) replacement cards they have advised me to buy are not compatible, and when I went to pick up my computer, the computer would not start.  I have askede to reinstall my old cards and the computer booted suceesfully, and I left the store!  I am sure that I do not know what new products could be compatible with my old PC.  I thhink 4 GB is too myuch for my computer, and he couldn't get half that - but what brand should be like new hardwrae?  I wasn't expecting my old cards fail when they were resettled - three months since the change of memory attempt - thre months they started normally.  They have been re-hurriedly harnessed and dismissed the case, and then I left the store.  (The tech threatedned me with fear of "motherboard failure", which just made get the computer and leave immediately.  The old cards cannot have been relocated safely.  I'm taking it - but I will not be pushed around.  Of course - as old as mine PC would gradually motherboard failure.  Until it fails.  It was the memory card, but what woud cards my PC take that would be accepted as new hardware and allow my PC to boot up normally, if it is the cards and not yet the motherboard?

I have now read the post with indicator on the upgrade memory.  It was very useful, and I wrote notes for the Presario.

It says, maximusmis 2 GB to 1 GB cards/no stamped with the form of the data of motherboard page.

It is divided between 2 cards 512 MB factory.  It has only 2 slots.

Thank you.  My Compaq desktop computer has grown on me.  I got Vista bfore and I didn't know what I think.  If it can be repaired, I think 8 years (purchase date 4 November 2006) were fun for the low-end model.  It was a good choice, and I have never regretted buying at what cost.  It was better than expected.

I haven't used my Compaq Presario continually over the past eight years - that's why it lasted so long!  Dud ut do work, however.  I had retirement is put online last year

I liked HP Photosmart first 6.5 photo editing.  I liked Wordpad.  Mechanically, it was scientifically.  The material began to go when the built-in CD/DVD internal drive has failed.  I bought and had a replacement (DVD player (cd) internal HP) installed in July 2014.

The new internal DVD writer HP compatible service pack XP? I have SP2) - I don't think it's about compatible new material.  This caused unable to start new businesses after three months?  New feature of device recognistion and old motherboard? Don't know?  (short circuit)?  I left the old CD/DVD recorder factory in its case - it's there and the springs are working to open and close the casing and check it / A short?  Don't know anything about electric

Another point, when the original memory card 512 MB on factory 2 cards have been resettled, he was press-technicians to get the computer to boot - so the computer's case has been closed.   (I took the PC on their part awqay as fast it was closed upward).  I thought safe in maintaining clips?  Maybe not securely harnessed.  Could also be from the old factory of 512 memory cards in each clip spare wedge - to alternate which card and which support clip.  I have not tried this or re-cutting to the place of repair.  (I do not have any technical installation and not have ny contact danger here - I do not touch the computer).  It is the matter of repair - these people in a hurry, they sell - they tell you something will work, they overtest, they overdiagnose - they push you autour-yyou never recover your computer to use as is - it is disturbing to go, if you are not a consumer savvy or technical.

May not be able to take new material old = change motherboard in chipsets, etcs. features.

Ialso had an error saying years only. IPC Port would not work.  (. COMI is the base model for the CPA called Palm Zire Hotsync Manager.  I don't think the Palm Zire software uninstalled iI, and the message is a (!) origin unknown error message is:. COMI, has failed to initialize.  It's a pop-up error message appeared during the startup process.  The repair people off the message.  The boot has been at once - disconnect - the plugin twice and electric start.  It was based on the plug in the socket, removed and reconnected before the start =.  Technicians tried to solve this problem, but it is not important from my point of view.  All of those, cumulatively, could be symptoms of a hardware change progressive until the end of the use of PC - they are all could be chips card mother falling out or something there (the CD player, the.) Port COMI - don't know about the real, even if start program - which can only be that.)

I tried the power reset function discussed in the Troubleshooting Online Web pages - 5 seconds to reset, / 15 seconds to reset - power off (unplugged) and hold the power button / stop without plug-in for 5 or 15 seconds (depends on the Web page of the online manual!)  Once, after an attempt to reset of fifteen seconds, the computer has no beep, and he almost made a second rumble noise - but then no change afterwards.  The redonnee start-up sound code beep after that the computer was turned off and then restarted again.

PC is sitting in his corner.  I don't want someone break while I think about what to do.  He's going nowhere right now.

This is the first time, it would not start.  I am a bit worried and disappointed, but, I know that my PC is old, and one day, it will fail to work.  That is the reality.  If it fi fixable, I'm interested to hear about the fit-it.  Thanks again.

    Hello @lliil,

I read what you posted and it seems that you have a hardware problem with your computer. The only thing I can do for you is to provide you with the HP support document: BIOS Beep Codes, which will help you to correctly identify what's wrong with your computer. Given the age of the computer apart from this if you want to know if it can be fixed, I recommend do you get into a local computer repair shop and let them take a look.

I hope I helped. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!

  • Tracks compiled, compiled code fails

I'm under LabView 7.1, controlling a testbed of Châtillon with transfer Ascii RS232 to a PC running windows 2000. A version of this code has worked for years. Try to upgrade the required routine changes. Now, the new code works well with no error not compiled, but compiled, it fails. And since it is a controlled process, he must run compiled. Sometimes stalls just to switch between sup compiled program live and sometimes requires only one part of what the subroutine, but continues. It probably hurt. The code was written with the same version of LabView.

Because it works reliably not compiled, how do troubleshoot you?
