  You can also download the trial version of the software directly (No Download Manager) through the page linked below and then use your current serial number to activate it.  You should get two files, an executable file and a compressed file.  Run the executable file and it will install the rest.

  Please follow the steps below to reset the photoshop preferences.

  > Hold down Option + command + shift (Mac OS) when you start Photoshop. You are prompted to delete the current settings. New preferences files are created the next time you start Photoshop.

  Note: Using the hotkey, preference files for custom shortcuts, workspaces, and color settings will also reset to the default.

  If you are still facing the same issue, please uninstall and reinstall the printer drivers and check for the issue.

  Also, please mention what operating system are you using?

  It is surprising that the Adobe staff did you not directly on the updated versions of Lr; the fact is that it is possible to update any version, starting by v1 to v6 bypassing versions between the two, and you download the upgrade even regardless of the installed version of Lr. Download, you did was very probably the trial version. It is not necessary to uninstall the copy of Lr v6 on your laptop at the moment, and if you manage to buy Lr, all you need to do are to enter your serial number purchased in the box for serial number, as found in the Help menu.

  For the rest of your problem, the only suggestion I can do unfortunately, must return to Adobe support.

  So I bought a Vista Ultimate and downloaded the demo of DW CS3.
  Installation went very well, but whenever I select the option for the trial, I get the error:

  + more on reebooting and reinstall.
  
  Tried to reboot, reinstall, install as administrator with no Antivirus enabled, but not God.
  
  Any ideas?

• Time Machine - there was an error preparing the Time Machine backup drive (could not mount the drive)

  I have a new HD but cannot set up encryption with system preferences. After ten minutes, I get the following error message:

  "There was an error preparing the Time Machine backup disk (disc name) - could not mount drive"

  Apparently, I need to set up the HD in this way:

  • If you are using an external drive connected to your Mac, use disk utility to make sure that your backup disk is formatted in HFS + extended (journaled) and is the partition type GUID Partition Table (GPT)

  It is not an option for the HFS + and so I used; OS x EXTENDED (journaled). GUID is ok.

  Can someone let me know what I need to do.

  For TimeMachine at best to a partition only.

  Do it again if necessary, then disconnect, reconnect, Start Time Machine preferences and "select disk".
